Does anyone know how to setup a 32X on a modern hdtv?
I have been able get the megadrive working but the 32X doesn't work. I can barely see the title screen of whatever game is in the 32X but I can't seem to tune into it.
Can you post your hookups and image from the TV? There is a cable you have to connect the 32X and MegaDrive/Genesis together with.
Also VRD is one of the best 32X games

One of the best for sure.
For me the best is and will always be VF1!

Not at the moment, I'm at work, but I've connected the cable between the megadrive 1 and 32X.

Does the cable have 8 pins? It is common to find people who bought a 9 pin cable by mistake.
there's composite to hdmi converter boxes

Are you using a French MD1 by any chance? There's a sync oddity with them since they do not carry a composite video signal, only RGB, and the 32X relies on the composite line for sync.
(you said "tune into it", so it's probably not the case: by that I guess you're using RF, which not only is shit, but also just was not available on the French consoles).

plug in the appropriate cables and turn it on.

Mug.
Don't use RF.

You don't. You either emulate or get a CRT.

"Barely seeing the title screen"? As in the screen is faded/dark, elements are missing, or it's all glitched out?
I'm not aware the system needs "tuning into" for signal isolation. I just plug the system in with the appropriate connectors, and displays tend to have dedicated inputs.
As >>4026887 mentioned images may help in diagnosing the problem.
