I beat Metal Gear Solid on the PS in the first day I got it.
I was super pissed as I'd heard it was this 'super involved epic 100+ hour' game.

I thought hard mode was decently challenging.

Also I kind of liked playing a Kirby game with no copy powers. I feel like copy power makes Kirby too OP, but they also nerfed his breath attack so that playing the classic way is pointless.

Dunno if they count as 'retro' but nearly every single one of those shitty formulaic movie/TV based GBA games that kept getting shat out all the time. Naruto, Brother Bear, Lion King, the Incredibles, etc., all basically the same easy as fuck game.
