I'm still upset I didn't meet Myron on my first playthrough.
Is it worth /vr/ or should I stick to the regular versions?
>>4031729
it's ok. The emulation on MM is about 90% os the real speed, it has audio issues and sometimes, rarely, the game crashed.
With the rest of the games the emulation is perfect.
Ocarina of time and MQ are based on the 1.2 version, which means green blood, censored gerudo symbols and so on.

Majora's Mask is garbage on that disc, be sure to save often because it's prone to freezing.
I have it for its rarity but it's basically the worst way you could possibly play those games.
I'm playing emulated nes games on a modded wii with my nephew. It was way harder then I remember to get out of water in Super Mario Brothers 3. Is this due to some inaccuracy? I am using basic wii remotes so maybe some kind of input lag.
>>4031707
I will break out the nes and test it later.
Wii has no noticable input latency.
You're just old now and your reflexes have decayed.
>>4031725
Damn. Oh well, I can still play turn based rpgs.
personally i think Genesis is the better name but Mega Drive has the better life go
Mega Drive
Cooler name, better logo, and none of the cringe associated with those that petty Nintendo-bashing adverts
"MEGA" drive seems like the proper opposite to "SUPER" nintendo.

I vaguely know the story of why the MD was renamed in the US, but I've never found what exactly the American Mega Drive thing was. A toy? A computer? Some kind of car thing?

I have been looking pretty hard at the NES30 and I'm glad to know a SNES version is out. I like how faithful it is maybe even to the point of being willing to overlook its lack of analog sticks but not even adding hidden second shoulder buttons is too faithful for me.

is this game any good?
>>4030572
The remake for PS2? Yes
The original? Not so much
Leon is a Sasuke-tier unsympathetic faggot.

Leon did nothing wrong he's got a whole country to worry about
IS there ever any situation in which there is a good reason for playing the Game Boy port of a game when it has a home console release as well and you have the option of playing either?
>>4030503
I like the mega man games for the GB. The levels are all different and they take half of the bosses from the game they're named after, and half from the next one in the series which makes them a little different.
>>4030503
Ports? Rarely.
GB exclusives can still be OK. They're definitely more barebones compared to other games, but sometimes they're interesting.
I think if you wanted to say you played and beat every Gameboy game then maybe that would be something worth shooting for. But then again, you wouldn't really get anything out of it. The dude who beat every NES game is still not even super popular.
When the GB version is significantly different and offers interesting or even superior differences
I'm like Robotnik because I have a ginger mustache and I'm obese with diabetes.
Also I hate that hedgehog.
Kefka, because he is Intelligent, Nihilistic and with a Wicked Sense of Humor
Fio is pretty much me because I have huge boobs, wear glasses and destroy giant weapons of mass destruction every day.
Also I have a rocket launcher.

What's the cheapest way to record and or stream footage from older consoles in decent quality?
The cheapest way is emulation. If you want to stream from real hardware, a quality upscaler like the framemeister is your only real option. Not cheap though.

This is probably my best bet but how do you transfer VHS to .mp4 or something cheaply?

This guy up and vanished without a trace. This guy was translating old Japanese dev interviews which provide huge info on old games. People who are just mythical shadowy figures are brought to life, and we finally figure out who did what in games. We need a replacement.
All he is doing is going to the Tokyo National Diet Library, scanning them, and then translating it. We need another Jap-Anon who will scan these. Now instead of dragging out 3-6 interviews at a time, they just mass scan it, hundreds of pages at a time, and relase them. Then teams of people can translate them at their leisure or interest.
It's obvious this guy was gonna drag this shit out as long as possible. At the rate he was doing, ti was gonna take 13+ years to finish his collection.

Cept his last release was Feb. Nothing for March, April, or May. And no word if anything for June either.

Right now the new 3DS is the only handheld of choice to play snes on the go.
To balance things against the PSP, the 3DS can't play PS1 games for shit.
Who was in the wrong here?
No idea who the other guy is, but your answer is Mitchell.
Always bet on Mitchell.
That movie is all staged, bro. It's not real
>>4027680
then why the hell does roy cry on youtube all the time?
How did even the basic retro 2D games ever get made when the programming for them is so ridiculously complicated? Like just making a guy made out of a dozen or so pixels move around on a screen with low quality music and sound effects requires an elaborate scheme of three or four classes full of planned transactions between each other with arcane references to graphics and audio APIs.

Goddamn it, that's like a billion times even more complicated than the already complicated stuff I was looking at. Also:
>a game he was working on for the past 3 years
I can't imagine working on any one thing for longer than a week or two, how do you keep up with that insane level of endurance?

Haven't seen a thread of this guy in forever. Thoughts?
>>4027036
Great game. One of the best but some may see the cartoony aesthetic and story that takes a 90 degree turn to sadness a bit cheap.
>>4027036
P. good game, gets quite challenging at the end.
Don't know this game, all I know the word "Phantomile" in Ridge Racer Type 4 is a reference to this, in typical Namco fashion.
That said, I'm sure it's a really cool game because it's a Namco production. In fact I'm gonna watch a video right now to see what this is about.
What's the best handheld for emulating NES/Genesis games these days?

He's not joking OP. Penises are pretty good at emulation these days.
