I'm filling out my passport application, form DS-11. Do I need to fill every field out? I don't really want to give the government shit like my email, salary, travel plans, etc.

I realize they already have some of that stuff, but I don't want to make it easy on them either.

Who cares? Do you pay taxes? Do you realize you create a new email and put in a random country?
>>
>>1260348
The DS11 PDF I found doesn't ask for salary. Make a new gmail for the application and just write "no current plans" for travel.
>>
>>1260348
Just make a new email account. There's a reason they want it. They might have a question processing your application, which is probably important to you.

Hey /trv/, i got a flight from Lisbon to Ghana in september but i was thinking about spending some time in Spain and Portugal before im flying to Africa.
Im mostly interested in Portugal out of the two countries and im either flying in to Barcelona or Malaga from Copenhagen.
So my question to you is, should i take the red or the blue route? I have around 10-14 days to play with and the routes i have painted are just fictional. Like, i havent done much research on what to do on either one of the routes.
Which route offers most things to do? Im mostly interested in epic views and stunning landscapes. But i do also like it when its cheap and good nightlife.
Grateful for any advice. Cheeeeeeers

Southern Portugal is gorgeous but very touristy. Northern Spain is also incredible and got nice cities like Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela. Whichever route you pick will satisfy you im sure.
>>

I'm moving to Marbella soon and I've been looking at what's good nearby. While you're near Malaga check out Ronda for stunning landscapes (Hemmingway was fond of it) and near that is Caminto Del Rey which is an astounding hiking trail. Puerto Banus near Marbella is good for a night out. Gibraltar is impressive from a distance but the high street is shit although it's tax free so you can get super cheap ciggies/cigars fyi.

Sounds quite good actually, thinks it beats cities like Santiago de Compostela and Porto?

Go up to the Duoro Valley wineries area. There's also some ancient heritage sites around there. If you want to try an awesome restaurant, go to Majestic Café on Rua de Santa Catarina (for lunch if you're short on cash).

Hey /trv/ anons, I'm interested in going on a cruise.
Two questions for you:
>How do I get on a cruise with people in their 20s, rather than families and elderly folk?
>How do I get a cheap-ish cruise?

Also, any other Australians want to go with me? It's cheaper in pairs.

Looking at a New Caledonia cruise, but I want to get one that's not full of oldfags
I'm in VIC btw and the cruises I've been looking at so far are roughly $1,500 if you go with two people

Hello all; planning a trip with one friend around Cambodia. Plan is to start in Ho chi minh city (buy a motorbike there), travel upwards over the border through to Laos, cut downwards to siem riep, then maybe to Thailand, then back across cambodia into Vietnam again. Any advice or must do stopovers?

There's a lot of YouTube videos of people who did similar trips, watch them for the advice they give
>>
Read up on what the visa requirements are for a person from your country for each country you plan to visit.
>>
Vietnam is great but watch some videos about what traffic in the city looks like. Motorcycling in major cities is pants shitting terrifying. Not nearly as bad in Cambodia from what I saw.

Prepare for 90f+ heat with 100% humidity. Dont go during their summer, even the local people dont want to go outside. Bring twice as much water as you think you need and be wary of buying bottled water with broken seal. I saw some gooks refilling plastic bottles in a big tub of tap water.

Everyone I interacted with in southern Vietnam was super nice to white boy me. Learn to love soup and fish sauce.

If its not out of your way, hit up the marble mountains in Da Nang. Theres one mountain theyll let visitors go up. Theres a buddhist hideout up there which is absolutely breathtaking.

I dont have much to say about Cambodia. After we saw Angkor Wat I gave in to some flu I caught and shut myself in the hotel until it was time to leave.

going to singapore in july for study abroad

what should i expect?

I assume you've looked up the drug policies.
>The statute's penal provisions are draconian by most nations' standards, providing for long terms of imprisonment, caning, and capital punishment.
>The law [...] creates a presumption that a person possesses drugs if he possesses the keys to a premises containing the drugs
>Any person found in or escaping from any place or premises which is proved or presumed to be used for the purpose of smoking or administering a controlled drug shall, until the contrary is proved, be presumed to have been smoking or administering a controlled drug in that place or premises.
>Thus, one runs the risk of arrest for drug use by simply being in the company of drug users.
>>
I was only there for a few days about a month ago but holy balls it's hot, even after having lived in Hong Kong the previous few months. Hopefully you're more adjusted to the heat and humidity than I am, it was kind of hard to explore when it felt like I was melting after like 15 minutes.

Aside from that, lots of amazing, cheap local food at the hawker centers. Recommending any is kind of a moot point because they're literally everywhere.
>>
>>1260458
Nice, too bad that will never happen in the US. Both the left and right seem intent on more lax drug laws now days, at least they agree on something.

Roll tightly around a pencil, remove pencil, tighten more, tape, wrap in plastics, lube up the wad of cash, push it into your rectum.

Make sure you go to the bathroom first.

Hi /trv

I'm that Russian anon who created a thread and wrote a guide on Moscow here some time ago.

Now, I have to admit I fucked up a little bit. I wanted to release the proofread and updated v1.2 today as one French anon from here was nice to proofread it for me, qudos to him! He did proofread it, but I'm out of time to apply finishing touches and write additional info for v1.2 and I'm leaving for abroad for a couple of weeks.

The reason why I want to upload it now is that Confederations Cup starts in a little more than a week, and for this period you can enter the country visa-free (check the guide). In fact some people already started entering Russia visa-free 2 days ago. I see rise in interest in trips to Russia on Tripadvisor and other sites.

So the best solution that I got - I'm uploading the unedited v1.1 for those of you who haven't seen it and I'll release v1.2 when I'm ready.

website with v1.0:
https://bestmoscowquide.yolasite.com/

v1.1:
http://depositfiles.com/files/or55cep9p

I'll bump with a couple of pages for those who haven't seen it yet.

Hi lads I'm traveling to Marseille in 12 hours via plane, I'm planning to go to aubagne and join the legion but while I'm there I might as well do some sightseeing. I'll spend 2-3 days before taking a shot for the legion. Any tips and advices are welcome. What tourist attractions are there? Where should I visit? What should I look out for or avoid? Now all of these can be googled but personal experiences are what I want to hear.

Any cheap hotel and hostel recommendations are welcome too, I have about 150 euros in cash and 1000 more in my card but I need to be a bit frugal. I'll check the thread after I wake up.

It is otherworldly and beautiful. It looks like that sometimes, but only for parts of Jan-Mar, when it rains on occasion. The rest of the year is dry. In the winter it can be severely cold and windy. I was there in June, and it was a sunny, windy moonscape, quite pleasant if lip-chopping by day, with temperatures well below freezing at night in the town of Uyuni. Pic related.

I recommend doing a trip to the salar(es) combined with something else in Bolivia--Potosi and mines, greater La Paz, or both--while I found the salt flats quite cool, I can't imagine spending more than 48 hours out there, and the region is quite desolate and remote.

I'm going to Madeira with my girlfriend in a week. I have no budget limit, and have a car. Staying in Funchal. Does anybody have any hot tips?

I'm going to the CR7 museum of course. But if anybody has any familiarity with food sugggestions, hikes, etc., that'd be cool.

I'm still pissed that you posted this shit on /sp/ and we're taking advice from children that watch sports and have never travelled further than their kitchen.

Anyways..I'll help you.

I spent a week a couple of years ago in Madeira.

1. Pico de Arieiro is a fun hike. The views on top are some of the best in Europe. However can get busy. Also make sure you're not a fat fuck and can actually hike for 5 hours. It isn't really a beginner's climb (nor expert). Anyway there is a café on top and it's a nice spot to chill.

2. Ponta de Sao Lourenco. Another Jon challenging hike with some beautiful views. You get to see both sides of the ocean one which is insanely crazy and one calm. Not a beginner's hike either
...takes 4 hours. Don't be fat.

3. Monte cable car. Some great views of Madeira.

Didn't go to the ronaldo museum (was it even a thing 2 years ago?)

Overall. The hikes are nice but get very busy unless you're alpha and go at 5 -6 am ish in the AM. The food is good..nothing special.

I am going to Seoul/Tokyo in a month for 2 weeks, should I worry about all of this Nork weapon testing shit? Or is it being over hyped by the media? I have been to some pretty sketch places before I am mostly concerned with there being some weird Military curfew in Seoul much like it was in Bangkok during the coup.

Yeah, Nork activities are at an unusual high. stay in Tokyo. It's a better city anyway.

I was in Seoul about two weeks ago and aside from the odd soldier there was really no way to tell anything was going on, at this point it's just not something that the locals spend much time thinking about.

Was there in december when all the protest where going on https://youtu.be/8g__bdejP0w

But even then, it concentrated mainly on some specific areas. You could go to all the touristic sites without problems

I recommend the royal palace https://youtu.be/Y3DwuEq9mRo
and the namsan park https://youtu.be/08-IwNShbfY

Plus: The tower was surprisingly not crowded https://youtu.be/IZVd-Bc-T4I

Thanks for telling us which region and city, the north is different from the south and the east from the west, if you want the best Germany experience definitely go to Bavaria or the Black Forest

The north is German just not like the Germany you expect

That's right, there are no lederhosen, pretzels or joy in the north. People are more like Nordics, calm and autistic.
