I assume you've looked up the drug policies.
>The statute's penal provisions are draconian by most nations' standards, providing for long terms of imprisonment, caning, and capital punishment.
>The law [...] creates a presumption that a person possesses drugs if he possesses the keys to a premises containing the drugs
>Any person found in or escaping from any place or premises which is proved or presumed to be used for the purpose of smoking or administering a controlled drug shall, until the contrary is proved, be presumed to have been smoking or administering a controlled drug in that place or premises.
>Thus, one runs the risk of arrest for drug use by simply being in the company of drug users.
I was only there for a few days about a month ago but holy balls it's hot, even after having lived in Hong Kong the previous few months. Hopefully you're more adjusted to the heat and humidity than I am, it was kind of hard to explore when it felt like I was melting after like 15 minutes.
Aside from that, lots of amazing, cheap local food at the hawker centers. Recommending any is kind of a moot point because they're literally everywhere.

Nice, too bad that will never happen in the US. Both the left and right seem intent on more lax drug laws now days, at least they agree on something.

>what should i expect?
Can you faggots STOP fucking doing this on /trv/.
"What should I expect?" "What should I expect?"
This is the laziest shit ever. We're not your fucking Google, ask a specific question Jesus Mary and Joseph.
The words: "What should I expect" should be filtered on /trv/.
ANYWAY.
Expect heat.
Expect less development than you would have probably expected--besides the financial district a lot of Singapore has kind of an air of shabbiness and is vaguely developing country-tier. This surprised me a lot.
Expect to make friends with other expats and foreigners, western people. Don't expect to make a lot if any Singaporean friends. Singaporeans are largely pretty stand offish and will come across as pretty insular and kind of rude/autistic.
Expect good food.
Awesome singapore thread we had lately, I leave this week. Thank me later.
