Whats so bad about internet explorer.
It's legacy and has been replaced with Edge which is ok-ish.
>>61390062
botnet like every proprietary program
IMO what's bad is that 1) it's always been an attractive target for malware and exploits, and 2) it's had very limited extensibility. Those together make it a dangerous proposition for the careless or uninformed.
My only personal complaint is that it's ugly.

ITT we share interesting or useful content. Post material you found insightful or educational or just cool. Books, documentaries, websites, whatever.
If you can, try to post a link to the resource or at least a short explanation of what it is or why you decided to share it. I'll kick things off:
>The Wall Street Code
This short documentary explores people who made fortunes from writing algorithms to trade on Wall Street. Haim Bodek tells what he's learned from the experience.

>Zero Days
This documentary investigates a malware most likely developed by USA and Israel that targeted Iran's nuclear program. Also investigates the NSA and the future of "cyber warfare".
Link: https://thoughtmaybe.com/zero-days/
>Code: The Hidden Language
This extremely well done book explains how computer work from the ground up, starting with the basics slowly increasing in complexity. If you ever wondered "how do computers actually work?" This is the book you're looking for.

The All-Embracing Library. Size 177.96GB. I dare to say contains only the best books of their fields and are supposed not to repeat, and is a extremely well ordered collection by topic, and if you compare the size you soon see its value. Topics range from mathematics, physics, psychology, self improvement, survivalism, the best science fiction and fantasy literature, comics, magazines, and more. Did I mention is well sorted and contains only the best books?

Classifying everything as common carrier went great for the land lines, I for sure loved the wire tapping.

MPV - an amazingly good media player. It's faster than anything I've used before. The only feature that I miss are thumbnails on a timeline.

Japan now produce more musical compositions by itself than the sum of the whole world outside of Japan.
We need a website that allow to anonymously submit&check scientific articles. It could result
the same break-through as the Vocaloids resulted in the Japanese music industry.
I will launch it in Japanese and other East-Asian languages, but if Westerners have interests too, you could join to the project.
Thoughts?
>Thoughts?
Yeah, what the fuck are you talking about?

Sorry for my Engrish, you Faggot!
Did anyone else notice that /g/ is being used as shilling spot? Every few days a thread is created about some new tech/device in which first few replies are always negative, then all of a sudden it gets filled by quotes to those replies saying they'd prefer X alternative that is botnet because it does Y better and is cheaper/faster/whatever.
And the worst part is that its always the same type of wording behind those replies.
I've noticed so far these threads pop up about android/iphone, and VPNs mostly.
>>61389078
Some companies use shilling bots, like those free watch threads and post on every board
>>61389124
Those barely get any replies. I feel like there's SJWs behind replies in shill threads i'm talking about.
>>61389078
>Did anyone else notice that /g/ is being used as shilling spot?
Yes.
So lets say /g/'s dream comes true and we get strong AI that is smarter than us and makes everyone live much longer yet appear young. But, because of this our population continues to rise and rise and some people have to either die or be cast off into space to unknown planets.
Is this inevitable or ?
>>61389076
A strong AI smarter than us won't make people live longer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfbzUdv3oX4
>>61389076
The superintelligent AI would figure out how to colonize other planets in the time it takes you to take a dump and brush your teeth, so that's not an issue.
>>61389140
i never poo or brush so what did you mean by this
What should one do if they just rooted their phone?
its
- moto g 1st gen
- on Android 5.1
Why did you root your phone for no reason?
>>61388968
Root is fucking nothing, you have to install a custom ROM. It's going to have root anyway.
Now install gentoo via chroot
Fuckin hell I hate every one of them. Why the fuck does every fuckin video about engineering stuff has to be made by one of them? They talk like shit, they literally have such a bad accent that it's impossible to follow anything they say. Fuckin shitters
>>61388889
When I tried to get working visa you told me to fuck of.
So you refuse well educated man that is willing to work, white and can speak engish but you are ok with curry bois?
Go fuck yourself
What are Indian bosses like
>>61388889
>They talk like shit, they literally have such a bad accent that it's impossible to follow anything they say.
It says more about you than them. I'm not a native speaker and I don't have trouble with this. They speak funny, and some words are pronounced incorrectly but you can get the gist of the sentence from the context.
>Why the fuck does every fuckin video about engineering stuff has to be made by one of them?
Maybe get your kids interested in engineering instead of drooling in front of videogames all day.
Is there a way to automatically Carpet-Block every normie page on Facebook?
