Guys, I've gone through multiple programming tutorials. How do I ACTUALLY make actual stuff? I still have no idea and i suspect that going through a tutorial will still leave me feeling like I need another tutorial. How do I make stuff like:
Like a bitcoin trader that gets its information from websites and then interacts with another website (an exchange)?
Like basic mobile phone 2D games?
Like browser JavaScript games?
Bump ( Not OP )
Tutorials give you the essentials but to do anything you also have to learn to work some libraries and stuff too
For bitcoin trader you need http client library.
For mobile phone game download android studio and game engine/framework
What's the best interface to learn python?
With vba, I can just open up excel, start writing code and quickly see results/write algorithms
How do I do the same for python?
Interface?
As in something like pycharm ?
>>61384712
I guess. I'm pretty ignorant of python. I just want an easy way to jump in and start writing algorithms to learn the language.
>>61384720
If that's the case, Pycharm.
>because its open source it means that goooogle cannot spie on me
>and also being open source it takes up less wam on my computer
>and and and being open source im not connected to bo..botnet whatever that is
Fucking Chromium retards don't get it.
>>61384611
I don't have to get it. Because open source.
>>61384689
>Don't get it
In otherwords, Don't understand.
>>61384694
Right. We're on the same page. Open sores.
What do you think of this guys setup /g/?

I'll tell you the answer, but I don't have enough time.

Why the fuck don't they design every laptop with some kind of lid for the webcam.
seriously go back to your latte idiot
One of those flippable ones would be cool.

>Why the fuck don't they design every laptop with some kind of lid for the webcam.
Because they're cunts. They don't even let you clean your fucking cpu fan easily.
Use tape, nigger.

Drill it out. That's what I did to mine. if I ever want to use a cam I just plug one in
How does one become an actually good programmer?
It seems that most developers don't understand how the language or the compiler they're using (among other things) actually work.
I would like to understand what's going on on a deeper level.
>>61384403
computer science, mathematics.... but if you know physics, and chemical elements science it wouldn't bad too.
The thing is, to be efficient and correct the first two are a must. However, it certainly would be considered good, if the programmer knows about the subject he is makeing software for too.
>>61384488
>computer science, mathematics.... but if you know physics, and chemical elements science
Why would you need to know all this just to be a good programmer?
>>61384403
In the sense of programming as a job, i.e. as a software engineer or software developer, a good programmer writes code that is sensible and easy to understand for another programmer
How does /g/ pirate there stuff?
Get a fast boat and some sturdy sailors.
>>61384338
>pirates game to see how it runs/works
>buy it if i like it
this is what I do and it works fine.

>>61384206
I do not know, how about learn hardware programming? Learning anything is mmore/ cyberpunk/ than asking shitty generic questions on /g/.

start with something simple like python or ruby. have a use case in mind, programming for programming's sake gets old quite quickly and it's always nice to actually make something useful, even if it's just useful to you. what sort of things are you looking to make?

What kind of code is this? I know it's low level windows. Is this assembly?
I need to go though a ton of pdf documents.
I know I can make bookmarks of specific pages but I was wondering if there is a program to permanently highlight text and note taking?
Preferably nothing Adobe.
Why is there so little information about compiler differences. You'd think with all the programmers in the world the internet would be full of data regarding compile and runtime performance for all sorts of algorithms.
What am I missing here?
99.99% of programmers have no idea how modern compilers work
because they're supposed to produce functionally inentical output
>>61384035
Yes but that still wouldn't stop them from comparing different algorithms in different compilers.
>because they're supposed to produce functionally inentical output
I'm talking about performance not functionality. Try some reading comprehension next time.
