What retro games let me walk around in Japanese suburbs?
Doukyuusei
Real places like OP's game or fictional towns too?
>>4140380
Both are fine.
Guy, let me tell you, this game is so hard and all for the wrong reasons. Its all bullshit, and you get hit for no reason and dont know where to go, its crappy gamedesign. You have to play the levels a hundred times, to know what you have to do. Such artificial difficulty.
It should be more like zelda, and be more clear with what to do.
So yeah, I only played through two levels and failed and the third, but I have a proper recommendation for this game and know who is it for. Since Im a real gamer, and know by instinct how games work.

>>4139809

Axeil

Dont kill a thread for this drivel. Keep it in rom hacks general. Search the catalog for rhg.
What's your stance on edutainment games?
is typing of the dead an educational game?
>>4138623
It encourages faster typing so yes
>>4138616
They're rarely educational, and rarely fun. Therefore, they're worthless.

Like holllllly fuck does it get anymore autistic than this video?
Holy shit, who cares if someones game is mostly missing a label and they want to make themselves a new one, who cares?
Why are you posting this thread again? You don't even care about what /vr/ users think, you just want to see another shitstorm like in the last thread.
>>4138214
This. He just wants a backdoor eceleb thread.
>>4138213
Fuck off Pat, you literal who.
I've heard theres been great strides in fixing the jitter of PS1 games recently.
Which is better, PCSX-R or Mednafen? I'd prefer Mednafen since it uses Retroarch, but the wiki says PCSX-R is preferable for 3D games. I'm trying to figure out if the anti-jitter options in Retroarch are as good as PCSX-R.
I like arbex
It's the only one I had that could run Legends 2 and Misadventures
My two emus of choice are:
ePSXe with the new GPU Core that goes for accuracy; or if I want higher res and filterning, Pete's OpenGL 2.9 plugin.
As a backup in case a game or special disc doesn't work with ePSXe under any config, I use Xebra and the only thing that I still wish DrHell added is vibration support. Everything is top tier as far as I'm concerned (I'm not an emu nerd), easy to install and configure, accurate instead of enhanced, good compatibility, just overall a solid emu that gets updated frequently too.
In one special case, I use PCSX-R for those new features like widescreen, no texture warping etc... but it's not my main or anything, not yet, waiting on more improvements.

Megaman 2. Best Megaman game, or overrated piece of garbage?
it's good, but overrated
the wily stages after the first one suck ass
I think I prefer 1, 3 and 4 over it
It's good but not that good. Perhaps it's because it has the best soundtrack of the franchise overall
>>4138024
I think 1 is better but it s kind of like Evil Dead 2
2 is still great
I like all the NES ones
You miss going to arcade?
>>4137973
some movie theaters still have metal slug but its rare
>>4137973
I miss arcade games being everywhere. I used to see cabs in restaurants, movie theaters, malls, and Wal-Mart entrances. Now it's all crane machines and Redboxes.
>>4137973
I do but some still exist so I can't say I "miss" going to the arcade 100%
Anyone else think that Saria is probably the best Non-Zelda OoT girl from a story stand point? She was basically Links best friend, has the most interesting moments in the game surrounding her - like finding the Sacred Forest Meadow, and then later on going into the Forest Temple - and all in all just has a very tragic story. She basically dies waiting for her long lost childhood friend to save her.
I guess summer /vr/ doesn't like actual topics of discussion...
>>4136514
/vr/ is a slow board, give it time.
On topic, Saria was too perfect for this world. Didn't discriminate against you for not having a fairy, gives you your first ocarina, has her own song that lets you communicate with her for clues, chill with becoming a sage to help you out, and overall respects your independence and is content to remain a good friend. NTR etc but Saria was cool.
why are fictional girls so great and rl girls so shit
We all know that Saturn got the best Bomberman, but how about the games released for the SNES?
imo 3 has the funnest single-player while 5 probably has best MP.
Why bother with anything on the SNES when the PCE version exists?

What are some of your classic online gaming memories? Did you ever play some of the 90s MMOs?
Where were you when Lord British was kill?
>>4136196
i fucking love Ultima ;__;
>>4136196
For some reason the "HE DIED" in that image cracks me up.
Is there a way to make this game challenging? I've heard about a save that locks you permanently to level 1 but I haven't found shit
Red Rust Only run.
play with your feet instead of your hands
There is a "hard type" romhack
Happy Friday, what games will you be

>>4135803
I don't know. Any good movies just release?
>>4135803
i'm gonna rent the Leisure Suit Larry Collection, which I'll be able to install on my computer and keep
>>4135803
Oh boy maybe my parents will let me rent south park this time
Bosses that were the bane of your existence
Even as an adult I struggle not to panic fighting Reznor.
>>4133515
