So I have this, will this only grow in value or is it a good time to sell it?
a. It's the shitty pal version
b. The case is cracked
c. Judging by the outer condition the disc is also scratched
You're not getting rich off this thing, sorry.

I've had offers for 400€ already, just asking if the price in the future will go higher or lower.
I really tried to like this game but the first time i played it (on my xperia play) shit was COMFY!
But i found the puzzles confusing (needed to call a number that was dispayed on a billboard then i qent to the young girls hous the music was creepy and her being underage just made it allot more wierder, but i really do want to complete this at some point, im no expert but my opinion the price its worth can only rise unless konarmi decide to re release n that def aint going to happen EVER!
Ive been intrested in using pic related for my super nintendo but there only two ninty five on ebay should I get a better quality cable or does it matter
The golden rule is to avoid S-Video cables that also come bundled with composite video, because 9 times out of 10 that means the S-Video plug isn't actually going to output S-Video quality. It's kind of a lottery though unless you're buying OEM cables.
>>4132661
Basically, instead of taking s-video directly off the video encoder's s-video line, the cable just takes the composite line and separates the luma from the chroma. The result is you're getting the low-res chroma from composite, and even worse, you're bypassing your TV's comb filter (which isn't necessary for s-video). So when all is said and done, you're getting a picture that is inferior to regular composite cables.
With the resurgence in popularity retro gaming has seen in recent years, it's interesting to note that ATARI and other systems pre-NES are still largely ignored by enthusiasts. For example, even on /vr/ rarely is there any genuine discussion about gaming pre-NES. Why is this? Are ATARI games fundamentally too simple to attract interest? Are NES games the minimum standard of quality people are willing to put up with?
most of the games flat out suck. They have very little fun value and are too primitive to be interesting.
There are less good games on the 2600 than on the N64. Only slightly, though.
The library is just full primarily of garbage. I don't think NES is the minimum, plenty of younger people could have fun with a coleco I bet
>>4131082
Don't you get it yet? The only retro consoles that are popular are the four big Nintendo consoles: the NES, SNES, N64, andGamecube. Don't you realize that to the average normalfag and or hipster there are literally no other retro consoles besides those?
Alright /vr/ if you could buy a handheld to your own specifications what are your must have features?
60 inch 1080p flat screen display.
I'd be happy with basically a New 3DS that was backward compatible all the way back to the Game Boy.
Cast Iron casing with egg resistant screens.
Should I start with the SNES games or the PlayStation ones?
playstation
2 is best
>>4130071
I have 0 experience with any of the other breath of fire games but breath of fire 4 is pretty damn good so far
how would one go about acquiring this prototype? how much money would i have to throw at someone to track down one of the programmers/itoi himself and persuade him to relinquish it/a copy of it?
>>4129301
For an unreleased game the base price would be around $50k and climb up the rarer it is.
>>4129301
I have that prototype, OP! I'll let it got for just $1000.
>>4129308
i read an article and apparently there's a more feature complete build of it in the possession of either Brownie Brown or Nintendo. it goes up to the first chapter.
Is this the best device on the market for portable emulation?
Anyone here own one? What are your opinions on this device?
Pricey compared to something like an HP Stream 7 but all in a neat little folding package. Lots of people say the controls are stiff.
I've heard that these things can run Dolphin.
Can they keep a steady 60 FPS?
>>4118398
Almost no GameCube/Wii game runs at 60FPS.
But yes, they play almost all GameCube and most Wii games fine.
Does /vr/ like grand theft auto? What about london 1969/1961 and 2? Was the playstation/dreamcast ports better than the PC port?
>>4083663
Older /vr/ does - the ones that are actually capable of playing video games. Expect the '90s born shitters to hate it.
Never played the PSX/Dreamcast ports so I couldn't tell you but the PC versions were excellent. I highly doubt the PlayStation version was better than PC.
>>4083783
DAT COSSIE, SON
>>4083663
I like GTA1, but it has a lot of frustrating game designs. London I thought improved it by having less timed missions and of course aided by that amazing 60's music and atmosphere. Missions were overall more fun and less frustrating.
2 on the other hand was a clear cut improvement in every way, one of the best examples of a sequel fixing all of the problems of the previous game. Version-wise, the PS1 is trash and the Dreamcast is just a buggier version of the PC. PC is king for all retro GTA desu.
Wallpapersjust cropped pic related, so I guess it's OC
Hey guys. I have a question about getting MAME ROMS to work on my Raspberry Pi running RetroPie V 4.2 on a PI 3. So I'm downloading the correct file for the correct romset (37b5 for mame4all) but I need a BIOS file. I have no idea what that is. Can somebody help me out please?

>this came out in 89
PCE was too ahead of its time.
>>4136979
It's a lot of fun too. Basically Zelda 1 but ultra dumbed down and pick up and play friendly. Also cute sprites.
>>4136954
eh. too many block puzzles and bombing walls
I like 2 more than 1 but it has it's own problems like collision detection
Dungeon Explorer and Ys were better. And the Legend of Xanadu games are getting translations out soon
I'm not sure which board to ask this on, but I feel /vr/ might be the most knowledgeable on this subject. I found an old Apple IIc in the basement (pic related) with a bunch of programs and games, so I cleaned it up and got it set it up. The computer turns on and beeps, which is a good sign. Unfortunately, I can't find the power adapter for the monitor. I've tried to figure out what kind of adapter it needs, but there's nothing on eBay and I can't find any specific information about it on the internet. Does anyone know what kind of adapter I'm looking for?
Pic related is a drawing of what the port on the back looks like. It's concave with 3 pins sticking out, organized like so.
Thats just a PC Power cord port, aint it?
>>4136487
Yeah, the one PCs have been using for decades (and even the PS3).
I wanna play this but can't find a copy of it that isn't crazy expensive.
Never used an emulator before, which is the best one to use?
I play my emulated SNES on my Wii. Emulation is pretty much perfect, displays at 240p, and I use a classic controller which works for SNES games, wish I actually had one of those Super Famicom edition Wii controllers though.
Otherwise I hear Higan is a "cycle-accurate" SNES emulator, but don't take my word for it.
>>4136295
higan most accurate, snes9x most comfy.
>>4136295
Higan or SNES9x will give you an equal experience with this game... but setting up Retroarch with the bsnes core and turning hard sync on for low latency is ideal. You don't seem autistic enough to care about that seeing how you're asking how to use an emulator, so refer to the former.
What if DK had a girlfriend like Mario?
So I made a fan art of DK's girlfriend.
girlfriends are literally normie-cuck tier, elites have sugar mamas
>>4136028
Do you think her name should be Princess Donkey or Princess Kong?
>>4136030
Princess Kongina?
