Are the rumors true, /vr/?
>>3289759
If they are releasing this on steam this is the most pointless port ever since it's already been on fightcade for years.
>>3289761
I'm talking about the input lag on the dreamcast port you nigger.
>>3289764
Oh, never heard about that.
Why don't you love me, /vr/?

Cool stuff. Try emulating it if you can't get one.
Why does this shitty game have so much fucking slowdown?
Hey, it's a fun game. Please don't call it shitty. To answer your question, it'sthe lack of blast processing.
Was thinking the same just today. Here's to hoping for a SA-1 patch one day.
>>3288954
man this is like my favorite game on snes but yea I remember the slowdown
Favorite N64 games and why. Pic related.
>Perfect blend of Ocarina of Time and Tomb raider
>Great Puzzles
>Huge levels with awesome design
>Indiana Jones
>>3288330
My nigga. About time I see someone else appreciate this game. Also it's way better than Tomb Raider in every way.
>>3288338
Agreed. If it wasn't for its stupidly limited release, it would probably be higher on the lists of great n64 games.
I wish this was emulatable before I drop ~50 bucks just to play it
Has anyone else read this? What did you think of it?
I thought it was a pretty good quick look at a few dozen bad ZX spectrum games, but it was pretty short and the segments by different authors weren't very interesting. A good fifth of the book is taken up by listing the backers' names...

How are you celebrating?

Playing a better fps.

Have you Played Quake Mission Pack, Scourge of Armagon? You should do that before you go
Can be anything from selling or giving something away you shouldn't have. Buying something that sucked. Or a game you missed playing.
I'll start with a couple.
Regret selling my Sega Genesis with multiple RPGs, all the Splatterhouses and a bad ass game called Red Zone for weed money 10 years ago.( $25)
Biggest regret. Trying to hard to be an edgy teenager and shunning SNES for a hardcore Sega and all the blood.
( Mortal Kombat being censored pissed me off) For the first time , this week I played Super Metroid & Zelda. I'm 35. What a fucking great system.
Gave away all my Nintendo powers so I could have a more " grown up room".
I had three years worth of awesome subscriptions.
Ever wonder what an unknown person from the 90's thought about his games?
I found a bunch of old floppies at my local dump - Doom, Wolf3d, sim city 2k, and much more - and in the sim city classic box there was this piece of paper.
It's pretty neat! A real blast from the past.
that's some pretty handwriting
>>3286326
>hexxagon
that game was insanely addictive. Never figured out how to beat the asshole AI though.
He had pretty good taste, I have to say.
Right now I have the flying toasters screensaver on my XP machine - thanks to After Dark
Why 2 copies of Doom2 though?
Oh, and doom1 is version 1.2 - so there is no secret switch at the beginning of e1m1, among other things.
This is most of it....
Anyone remember THIS GEM?

what am i looking at here?

Fucking love this awesome game. Just recently began playing it after having beaten the original one, and it's even better. Let's discuss this piece of art together.
The original wasn't released here, but I've played the second one up to one boss where I lost all motivation to go on, pretty late in the game. But I really enjoyed what I played up to this point, especially the combat whichis surprising. I feel the longer the game went the more tedious it got.
>>3281252
I think the game could've been better off if it had more action and were a lot shorter overall
I really hated how it invert-froze for a moment when battles started and showed the rewards when it ended. That could've been easily streamlined into not doing that and showing the results on the hud instead. That was my only real gripe about it.
I consider the bounty difficulty the best way to play the game.
One of the things i miss from the 'old internet' is the sensation that everysite was kind of an island, isolated from the rest of the world. Probably irc resembles this more than anything, every channel having their own rules, users, etc. Now everything is too packet: big forums, youtube channels with thousands of views and people sharing one opinion, wikis with all the information you could dream, leaving no space for rumors and whatnots.
Anyway, post your favourite vr page

Still can't believe this site is still up, and anime web turnpike.
>is the sensation that everysite was kind of an island
That's just because pre social media internet had an irl you and an online you. Now it's just social media shit everywhere and irl life is online life.

>the 'old internet'
>everysite was kind of an island, isolated from the rest of the world
Well put. The "wild west" days of the internet really were the best.
BUILD ENGINE GENERAL
Shitpost here about your favorite build engine games like Tekwar and Witchaven. Post cool mods, worship Ken Silverman, discuss how blood is the greatest fps of all time whatever.
Useful site for anyone that might want to try mapping or making a mod for any of the build engine games. Tons of useful resources, tutorials, maps, mods, patches and tools for all build engine games.

Here is the file section with downloads for all build games.

Decided to play powerslave/exhumed after getting the mouse patch for some decent controls. I think its equally as good as the saturn/playstation version cause it might not have as much adventure elements it has much tighter action. The mummy staff is also super badass.
There is already a Blood thread, a Shadow Warrior general thread and a Powerslave thread.... not that I'm complaining because Build is a passion for me, but this sounds more like a thinly veilded RTCM advertisement thread.
>>3280113
I love the DOS one so much. I love the lives system, which is a great change of pace compared to other FPS of the time where savescumming is allowed. It adds tension to gameplay and dying matters, while remaining balanced.
My main complains for the game are: no difficulty settings and no "pistol start" possibility, I understand that keeping all your equipment and getting every weapon one at a time gives a better adventure feel, but it really hinders replayability for me.
I've played the game only 4 times and I feel like I 100%'d it already and know everything there is to know, I think I've found every secret place but it's hard to tell since they aren't marked. Speaking of that there are actually at least 4 or 5 invisibility powerups in the entire game, they are rare and the most hidden, but I love to use it.
>>3280228
Nah I just wanted to get all of those threads into one so we can all be bros together. I made the powerslave thread and I am just going to let it die.
Unrelated not these are easily my favorite enemies in blood. too spooky

How the fucking fuck do you do that shit
I can't replicate anything
What the fuck
The jump at 1:20 I can practice for 3 weeks and I won't be able to do it
These guys are literally the best players in the world; there is a point where practice just isn't enough.
>>3291692
speedrunners play these games and levels like autists, every single day, over and over again. the runner(s) making that jump probably has like 1000 hours on that level alone, no exaggeration.
despite its (critical) flaws, this is the only Castlevania truly worth a damn.
best music
best atmosphere
unique ambitious concept
if it wasnt for a couple critical flaws...wouldve been a HOF game
>>3291621
>the only Castlevania truly worth a damn.
You took it way too far, Anon. It's just an "NES 2" comparable to Zelda 2 and SMB2USA
I didn't have any complaints about CV2, aside from typical shit localization quality that plagued damn near every NES game ever released outside of Japan. The Famicom version is pretty awesome though.
Simon's Quest is my favorite Castlevania game, but it's not like there aren't other good ones.
Are these worth playing?
>>3290735
aren't they in japanese?

No.

Sure, if you enjoy overrated non-games.
