Looking at the sheer amount of prerendered CG in the game you can see where the money went, that shit wasn't cheap back then. Toy Story came out a bit over a year earlier and that only cost $30 million. It was a super ambitious investment.

While playing with a flightstick might be more fun in some way, playing it with keyboard and mouse is way way way easier. If you think about it, it plays more like a FPS than a flight game. You aim exactly like in fps and you dodge projectiles exactly like a fps. You basically just have noclip on.
I personally use the flight stick but only because i have one and want to use it cause its cool.

Interesting, didn't think of KB&M due to very limited button/axis control. The 'coolness' factor of a flightstick wears off quickly when you're getting your shit pushed in for the 20th time due to lack of precision aiming.

The other problem is you need to control 6 axis's and a flight stick only has 3.
This means you need either 2 flight sticks or a 6dof joystick.

2 flight sticks can be fun but unwieldy, and 6dof joysticks are expensive.

There posts usually even say best price or will negotiate. If the seller dosent want to they usually say "firm" on price. That's not the issue. The issue is EBay and Amazon being used by people at fucking garage sales and CL as a price guide. My point being is that " yeah thats what Amazon sellers want for it but it dosent make it the price and if you want Amazon prices , fucking sell it on Amazon.

Also, I'd say, I don't know if it counts as a double, maybe triple or quadruple jump, but I really like Yoshi's Island, it's Kirby but not broken, the flutter limit and the fact your weight matters when you're falling makes it comfortable and intuitive as fuck to use, yet challenging if used incorrectly with shit timing.

A pick-up truck would be very tall, wouldn't it? It'd be difficult to see anything from behind it.

Sega had a commercial tie-in with Ferrari that time so it was a big cash-cow they had to milk.

However the sequel, Outrunners gave you other vehicle and character choices. I remember one of them being a dune buggy but no trucks

I love how the Ferrari looks more like a Beetle at the top.
