Would it even be feasible to ride a centaur? I feel that having a human torso right in front of you would make it hard to see or fight.

Think of it like two people riding a motorbike except one of the is the motorbike. It's not the best setup but it works.
Also centaur rider would probably lean towards ranged combat rather than melee.

If the object in front of you was just a lump of whatever then yes it would be hard to fight with it in the way. But that Torso fights as well, so you dont have to worry about that. As long as your not retard and try to make the centaur charge head on into a pike wall, something that it wont have any problems NOT doing unlike horses whom are stupid and panic near enemy soldiers, or attempting to give them lance so that they bend/break their spines, having a second fighters in one mass is actually not that bad of an idea.

So it'd be sort of like how crossbowmen at one point in history had a person to carry a pavise while the reloaded? That could work.
But it would require a serious level of coordination between the centaur and the rider, especially since they'd probably have to do stuff like this while moving.

Land, plunder, and rape. War could be good for your nation's economy at any point prior to industrialization. It was one of the few ways a poor man could acquire significant material wealth and opportunities to reproduce.

You are Takashi Wakui, a sixteen year old Japanese high school student. In your world, half of humanity possesses a Persona—the corporeal manifestation of one’s personality as a supernatural entity. Okay, okay, no need to be in such a rush. You open up the handbook you bought at Quinn’s and read it on the couch. It details how one can strike the pressure points of the body to deal physical damage and stun a foe. There are several diagrams of a muscular man in orange monk robes to go with the text. After skimming over the introduction a few times, you feel as if you’ve got the gist of it. Time to put it to the test, then.
You drag yourself to the nearby gym, focus mana in your palms and proceed to assault a poor, defenseless innocent virtual training dummy. The yellow smiley face bends in itself as you strike its chest and send minor electrical currents up its plastic spine. How horrendous, you think to yourself. That surely is an expression of barely suppressed agony. You are committing unprovoked assault, an act that would surely get you locked in juvenile. Well, it would if it weren’t for the fact that dummies don’t have emotions or even minimum spatial awareness, you complete moron.
…why are you getting distracted by your own thoughts? More punching, less thinking.

Hello and welcome to the final episode of Mortal Kombat Thief Quest, a continuation of Mortal Kombat Konquest.
When we last left our hero, he helped defend the city of Z’unkahrah against the ever-growing hordes of enemies that are rallying to Onaga, the Dragon King. He scouted Onaga’s camp and caused a distraction, enabling him to steal the Kamidogu of Chaosrealm. Upon returning to the city, he learned of a threat facing the shokan, and quickly traveled to the city of Kuatan to help fight against the newly-reborn Goro. During this fight, Cao nearly turned into Shao Kahn once more, realizing that he can no longer keep the Emperor at bay, meaning that it is only a matter of time before the Emperor awakens again…

Cao awakens with a bit of a start, thinking he hears voices. He sits up, gasping, before he realizes he was only dreaming. Or was he? He heard voices… but they were only in his head. The souls he captured, perhaps? Shao Kahn whispering into his mind? He isn’t completely certain. He feels a weight on his lower body and looks down, seeing that Skarlet had, during the night, reformed and slept with her head resting on his stomach. She, too, awakens with a start, staring back at him with wide blue eyes.
“What is it?” she asks.
“Nothing, I… Bad dream.”
He kicks his legs off of the fainting couch and rubs his eyes. He looks over to the bed and sees Ashrah, starting to move as well. She sits up in the bed. “Is it morning?” she asks with a small yawn.
He looks out the ornate window to see the first rays of the sun peeking over the horizon. “Yeah, it is.” He stands up and stretches for a moment as he considers where he is; his mind sharpens back to full consciousness and he knows he is still in Kuatan. He hopes that nothing serious has happened since he fell asleep. Skarlet sits up and watches him move over to a mirror and run a hand through his hair.
‘Still me,’ he thinks to himself. ‘Taller, stronger, but still me.’

In order to try and help Charlotte calm down after everything that's been happening, I've (with Gabrielle's help) managed to drag her out of the hotel for the day. Things have been going pretty well so far, too- Charlotte traumatized some little brats who totally deserved it, we won a couple of keychains in a shooting game, and I won a home-cooked meal from her through my prowess at bumper cars... but now one of the little animal torturer kids has just sicced his mother on Charlotte.
There goes our good day.

>"See, it's the lady in the black-and-white dress!" a kid shouts, dragging a woman who I'm assuming is his mother towards us. "That's the witch we saw at the river!"
>"She pulled on my arm and said that she was gonna eat my liver!" he cries.

Charlotte simply folds her arms over her chest as the little sociopath boy and his middle-aged mother stop in front of her. It doesn't even seem like she cares one bit that she's being called out like this.
"Excuse me," the woman says, her words filled with that kind of passive-aggressive anger that I can't say is unexpected, "my son informs me that you -accosted- him while he and his cousin were playing by the river."
"Her owl stole Bobby's hat and threw it in the river too!" the boy cries.
And then he immediately hides behind his mother when Charlotte glances at him.
"I can't say that I've seen anyone else out here today dressed in a way that could be confused with yours," the woman says, "so-"
"Wait a minute," I say, pointing at the boy behind her. "Aren't you one of those kids who wanted to torture animals?"
"My son was just PLAYING in the mid," she replies, glaring at me with utter disdain. "And since I don't recall him saying anything about a second girl involved in this, I would appreciate it if you would butt out."
