as a bit of trivia:
The Image I use there is the Banner of "Galottas Arseholes" - the Letters to the left of the irregular Seven-Star signify their former allegiance.

After the dissolution of their homecountry and the death of emperor Galotta, the Mercenaries reformed and are now called "Galottas Arseholes", so they stitched buttcheeks, an asshole, cock and balls ontop of the banner, then ran a yellow sewing line down the middle.

Usually before battle, they smear some mud on there as well - taking a piss and a shit on the false and traitor emperor that had them stranded in a faraway foreign country! :) :D

How technical are you expecting people to get with heraldic terminology? Are you looking for "Chequy gules and argent, a griffon rampant azure", or do you want something more like "Red and white checkers with a gold griffin"? (Not asking you to make that, just using it as an example)

That depends on the type of game you're running. If everyone agrees they want a less-serious beef/cheesecake for-fun game, the sure. If you're playing something grittier then be prepared to be asked to leave.

You would think have some kind of family and friends to go back to would make for potentially good story telling and people complain about murderhobos but then you realize you create them by killing off any connection to the NPCs they could possibly have beyond "Are they useful to me"

It creates an annoying vicious cycle. GMs who wastefully kill people characters have relationships to encourage the sort of murderhobo with no relationships, which makes it harder for them to engage with the game.

It's a really hard habit to break once it's set in. I've actually had to help a few players who had almost been broken by GMs like that recover, letting them trust that I wouldn't just murder any NPC they liked or wanted a connection to, and showing them that you can create a more compelling game experience by involving characters rather than just killing them.

I do think that kind of GM is just incredibly wasteful and unimaginative, but it's just an aspect of the larger issue, where so many GMs see death as the worst thing they can do to a character. Death is boring. If a character is dead, sure there's the revenge motivation, but it's so played out by now. Putting them in peril, creating tension and building conflict takes more work, but it can be so much more fun in practice.

“Curious thing about a dramatic moment, it always seems longer when you're having one.” Victoria grabs your sash. “I'm not used to walking this much...” She says, panting.

“You'll have to get used to it.” Odette swats Victoria's hand off of your clothing.

The girl rescinds and seems not only hurt, but startled. “I-I'm sorry. I d-didn't mean to be a pest. Was that bad?” The meek side of her instantly surfacing.

You stare at Odette for a moment as you exchange a look of pity with her before turning to Victoria and taking her hand. “All of us need to walk for now, but we mustn't get separated here, so lets all hold our hands.”

The Guild hall is packed with others seeking refuge from rain which just starts to come down when you're all inside. The chill of the sea lingers upon the wet air, staved off only by the multiple fires lit inside the guild, basking the place with the toasty smell of a hot hearth.

As the three of you come in, you and Odette with your hoods up, you push through the crowds to a ore open space. Likely they're awaiting the rain to end before heading off to wherever they're set to go.

As you near the request board, you feel a sink in your gut as you see that only a few requests are actually available. Just your luck. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?”

Exactly what I liked. Now we just have a Prime 3 tass-object spell (simple objects only, no moving parts) and a Prime 5 Marionette equivalent that any other mage can steal from you if their nimbus touches it.

Probably. I figured it would be best to get a few first, and if I'd waited, the thread probably would have fell off the board by the time I was done. Whenever I'm the one making the threads, I have a tendency to spend ten or twenty minutes fussing with an image, and lose the "Next thread/Previous thread" connection.

Plus, the only ideas I have so far are a transgender Acanthus named Tiresias and a Cabal of super secretive Mages based on the Four Horsemen.

Marionette always took too long to get to, so I never set my sights on it. I don't even know if I put it on the spell list of the Proximus Dynasty I made of the kid who thought he was a superhero when his Dynasty birthrights started showing up.
