i hate how they gave up on age of legends and didnt even make mass paperbacks from the new novels, so like 5-7 novels look like complete dogshit in the shelves.
>>47002415
Not worth the paper they are printed on, there are few things as bad as Warhammer fiction.
GW don't make metal figures anymore?!
The durability, quality, and heavy feel of metal figures was one of the reasons to justify the increase in cost over the plastic starter stuff.
>>47002278
GW has mostly phased out its metal line, or is bundling it up and selling it for those who want to pay for it.
If you want a company that produces purely metal figures, Corvus Belli's Infinity is the way to go. Otherwise you'll be using OOP or third-party miniatures.
Ironically, I'm pretty sure metal is actually cheaper for small producers, it's only when you get larger does plastic become a cheaper option.
>>47002278
Metal is shit, a bitch to clean and even worse to convert. Also, try casting something like the new weirdnob shaman in metal.

Are there any games similar to this one where the players play as gods or aspects of the universe (lust, pain, greed, etc)?
Preferably rules-lite, if such a thing exists.
I saved this one forever ago.
Never played it.
Has anyone even actually played Nobilis?
>>47001364
I've played the edition in OP's pic.
I tried to do it yesterday but I'm retarded and I did it at a time eveyone was sleeping. I tried to do it in /qst/ but there's too few people there, so I guess I'll try again.
Boom, woosh, space noises.
A wizard transported you and a bunch of other fa/tg/uys into a mysterious archipelago. You appear to be next to a creek, where leather tents have alredy been set. The lands around the rivers are relarively flat and grassy with some trees, with forests to the West and the Southeast. The river bifurcates, one side leading to a large lake, the other to an unknown location. Your group seems to be of about 50 people, of wich the overwhelming majority (maybe even all of them) are male. They have the clothes they had on before being transported here, although everything they were carrying seems to have disappeared in the teletransportation. The small cluster of tents appear to have some spears that could be used for either fishing or hunting, although the wildlife here is quite strange... Are those crab-like things in the water even edible? Weren't they exctinct?
The people is confused and scared. What is going on? What creatures can be lurking in this island? Will they ever return home? And most importantly: wat do?
Welp, I'm a bored newfag and decided to try and make my first civ game, so this could go either great or terribly. This is based on this dead setting I found on 1d4chan https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Setting:4chan_Archipelago so this could also be either a good or a bad thing. But, since we are based in the /tg/ isle, we shouldn't be able to meet with the other boards yet.
>Population: 50
>Civilization: Crude. Leather tents and fishing spears, some of them stone-tipped, some just sharp sticks.
>Culture: Nearly none. Some fa/tg/uys mutter about the "Dice Gods", but that's about it.
>Technology: Stone age-ish, although the fa/tg/uys have 21st century knowledge.
You are settled in the black tent-like thing near the river shown on the map.
What should they do first?
Rolled 8 (1d100)

What should they do first?
In order:
Get a fire going
Gather some sharp rocks to cut wood and make tools
Scavenge for whatever is edible or eatable
>>47001269
>8/100
We're off to a good start!
>Start a fire
One of the fa/tg/uys tried to get a fire going, with enough bad luck that it got out of control and started burning the pre-made tents. As the people tried to turn off the fire, another fa/tg/uy tried to eat a frog he found, only to die instantly of poisoning. Some fa/tg/uys scream "THE DICE GODS HATE US!" at the top of their lungs while the rest tries desperately to put off the fire.
>You've lost all but two of your leather tents
>You've lost most of your spears
>Three fa/tg/uys have died
The noise seems to have attracted attention, as a scavenger claims to have seen people looking at him from the forest.
Rolled 50 (1d100)
>>47001394
Forget the fire, move away from it, but take a burning branch and get a real fire going. In a real fire pit.
Fuck the spears make fishing baskets and start setting them up in the river.
Dumping every pics i have collected
So anyone in here loved Chaotic ?
Planning on GMing Version 3 Beta 0.5 for a group of friends, first time gming in general but I think I have what it takes, have several questions though
>Does the game translate well to roll20?
>How to make a setting interesting for players who have seen the show and non-spoilery for players who haven't?
>any bullshit rules I should consider changing that either aren't fully implemented or are just flat out broken?
>how to handle Operations Director? Player's handbook makes several references to it but I can't find it anything else on it, should they just be an NPC?
also AdEva general i guess

Due to my complete incompetence as a DM, a year long campaign and general clusterfuck of events, one of my players has 53 strength.
What are some feats a normal human-sized thing with 53 strength can accomplish? I have no idea how to put it into perspective.
System is Pathfinder btw.

Boulder throwing?
>Humanity once discovered a bomb that in theory could ignite our whole atmosphere, on our only planet, our homeworld at that
>we go ahead and test if it does that anyway
>our main way to deploy infantry on the ground from air transport fast is to tell them to JUMP OUT and the only thing keeping them from splattering on the floor at 120 km/h is a thin piece of cloth strapped onto them
>until modern weapons came into play, our main warfare tactic was "throw people at it, ignoring how many of them die and hope you have more people than the other side"
>despite modern weapons, some people are STILL willing to strap explosives onto themselves just to fuck up the enemy in a berserk suicidal attack
>grand majority of humans enjoys watching 2 humans attempt to beat eachother into unconsciousness on television
>we've had conflicts that lasted longer than average human lifespan
>in fact 90% of human history is conflicts and warfare, majority of our historical education is about ancient conquerors, their empires and warriors
Humanity - bonus to diplomacy.
>the art of saying "nice doggy" until you find a big enough rock
I'm not seeing a problem here.
>in fact 90% of human history is conflicts and warfare, majority of our historical education is about ancient conquerors, their empires and warriors
No it fucking isn't you tard. 90% of human history, as in "shit that has happened throughout most of the time humans have existed on Earth", has been farmers living quietly industrious lives. The vast, VAST majority of human beings throughout all of history have had nothing to do with war or combat in any way. In fact, war is the exception of history, not the rule. And no, wars really haven't had that much of an effect on human development - trade, disease and scientific endeavour have all been far more important.
The only reason our education focuses on wars and conquerors so much is because that stuff is exciting, while the effects of Indian Ocean trade routes on the development of east Africa and southern Asia isn't (unless you're a professional historian).
>>47000430
>until modern weapons came into play, our main warfare tactic was "throw people at it, ignoring how many of them die and hope you have more people than the other side"
Wut?
How fetishy and sexually charged can one make a game before it starts losing actual roleplaying value and segues into ERP?
At which point does fetish content actively start detracting from the game itself instead of being an element like architecture, fashion, food or other flavor elements?
What can this kind of content bring to a detailed game world where appearance norms and sexual trends are addressed?
Does fetish content inherently detract from the enjoyment a group can get out of roleplaying (assuming that all players volunteered for the game knowing what was the plan), or are people automatically having badwrongfun past a certain point?
Is it inherently wrong or "deviant" to include fetish content in a game played in complete privacy with willing friends?
Shitpost all you want - I want to hear your unfiltered opinions.
>>47000364
Depends on the group.
>>47000364
As long as it's not one of those absurd fetishes like vore or diapers, you can have an undercurrent of eroticism going on the entire campaign.
In essence, the problem with sex in campaigns is not the presence of sex itself, but that DMs do a poor job of using it, players do a poor job of handling it, and both spend way too much time on it when the topic comes up - treat it tastefully, I suppose is what I'm saying, but at the same you don't need to handle it tastefully at all (is crude sexuality and smut not just as valid in stories as tasteful nudity?) so I guess the best advice I can give is this;
>Don't be a sperg about it
>Don't be creepy about it
>Don't be too focused on it
>>47000608
I agree with your main points, but I'd like to point out that (at least in DnD) vore is one of the more likely fetishes to arise naturally in game, alongside bondage, GTS/size fetish, mind control/hypnosis, and transformation/genderbending. All of these already have in-game rules, which can't be said for the more vannila fetishes.
>Come back to the city after your last great adventure
>The story of your adventure has become extremely popular, and you and your party have become celebrities
>On a tour of the city, you find stalls selling portraits, statues, charms, and stuffed pillows bearing your likeness
>After inquiring, you find out that the person responsible for all these stalls is making an enormous profit, but has no intention of compensating you
Should you be upset?
A wolf should not concern itself with the dealings of sheep.
Assuming the adventure wasn't a comedy of errors, a party that popular has probably amassed enough power/connections to easily "persuade" the happy merchant into giving a cut.
>>47000208
Why would you? If townspeople want a portrait of their champions and it has been made by a 3rd party, why would you be angry about it?
New Erfworld Comic Page Up.
Thoughts?
>>46999116
Horrible art, bad joke, but at least it isn't I'M SAAAD or WORDSWORDSWORDS, so I'll give it about 3/10
>>46999303
no one asked you to rate it stupid.
All this time between actual comic pages and what we get is a lame joke, wew. It's an okay story but it's hard to care about it when the main comic narrative is so broken up. How many pages do you think we'll get before they go back to text dumps?
At least I'm looking forward to seeing what the Tower can do. Mind melded spells seem like such hax it's strange that they don't get used very often.
good alternative to Dnd 5.E, i want to run a new campaign
>>46998381
What kind of campaign you wanting to run?
High fantasy? Low fantasy? Something completely different?
>>46998433
if you can give an example for each one, but preferible low fantasy that scales
>>46998443
Well, I'm probably not the best to askI've only actually played 3.5, PF, 5e and CP2020but I'll scroll through my harddrive and see what I can come up with.
I'll get the GURPS recommendation out of the way, although I'm sure someone else will. If you can sit down for a bit and select what rules you'll use it does anything, although I'm sure that if you get any more responses they'll say that.
Harnmaster is very low fantasy, but it does have rules for magic and such if you want to make things a bit higher.
Rogue, Warrior, Mage is incredibly rules light, so it should be easy as fuck to run. Stats are the title, no classes so character creation is very free.
If you want a generic system like GURPS without a billion splatbooks, D6 legend looks like it would be fairly easy to pick up and run - 66 page rulebook and rules for everything from swords and magic to helicopters.
Something a bit rules heavier and high fantasy there's Ars Magica, with some pretty funky word-based magic.
All I can really say is stick away from dnd 3.x and pathfinder, they're an absolute pain in the ass. Spent hours creating a unique enemy for a one off session.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about more systems will come along, but for now I'll just recommend Warrior, Rogue, Mage. It looks a blast to run.
I've never seen this kind of setting discussed. What would you want to see in fantasy 80s Miami? Think Dark Souls mixed with Hotline Miami
>>46997987
>neo-80s medieval fantasy
like Knightriders?
>>46998019
oh god, why do I learn about it now?
>>46997987
What exactly does "fantasy 80s Miami' mean? Like the aesthetic of Hotline Miami/Miami Vice type shit mixed with a medieval setting? Literal 80s Miami but w/ urban fantasy supernatural elements? A fantasy setting's equivalent of Miami in the 80s?
