Is this just me, or is this Amanda Waller as a Planeswalker?

Not thick enough.
Thanks, Anon.
We really needed three active threads about one single card in a card game.
Why so many blacks on the recent sets of Magic...
What are orcs like in your setting
The Majority of Orcs in my setting are like nomadic monks seeking physical and martial perfection.
As for how they look, they're your standard big, green, and tusked orcs.
Bandits
Mine got fucked over by religious freak elves who follow a nature goddess which basically started as a new age religion to convert human females in their ranks that actually gained a shitton of followers but they arent really the big part of my setting the only big thing that the goddess has done was was fuck over a combined military force by turning them all into beastmen/orcs to show humanities "true face" forcing almost all of them to be depressed veterans or mercenaries trying to make it by due to their own countries abandoning them they might be scumbags to many but they have a deep brotherhood with the other mutants even if they are from different countries
>>48731673
Nice. I like it when Nature Gods or Druids are brutal fuckers, nature isn't all nice and happy like a lot of games show it off to be.
Call religion, start, name, and color
If you give no fucks about religion rules, say so. You will get a flat bonus instead.

Dungeons & Dragon's seems to be a key element throughout the show. Now based on my experiences with D&D I have some questions that I think could be helpful to understanding the story:
1. Which edition are they playing?
2. What are the boy's classes?
3. El is repeatedly called "a wizard" but at the end is referenced as "the lost knight". Is she a Paladin, Eldritch Knight, Arcane-Trickster? Oath Breaker?
3. Will can cast protection spells and fireball? Is Will multi-classed? A Warlock (pact with the monster)
4. If we think of each (important) character as if they were in D&D what role/class/etc. are they? Who is the healer?
5. Who is that "THAT GUY" in the campaign?
6. Who is the rogue that screws the whole party?
7. Murder Hobo?
8. Lastly, throughout the season I kept getting the nagging feeling of a Necromancer pulling strings and I just couldn't shake it. Anyone else?
>>48761109
Murderhobo/rogue is the black kid for sure, given that fucked fight he had with loverboy over Eleven that ended with the party splitting.
>>48761109
They're play Call of Cthulhu
They're all commoners except El, who has levels in Psychic and Hopper who has some kind of fighter/ gunslinger mix
The older brother is that guy because he stops searching for his missing brother to take Nude pictures of random high-schoolers
And I guess El is the closest to murder hobo because she's the only party member to kill people?
>THAT GUY
Will for sure.
Fucked up against the Demogorgon then "went missing", effectively cancelling all their planned future sessions because he couldn't handle defeat.
Why doesn't your character use their money to buy a mansion and maids and live in comfort for the rest of their life?
Because my last game of MAID rpg was enough chaos for one lifetime. I'm not turning my current game into one.

so did maraad just protect y'rel, or did he bubble the pc too?
Personally I'd take away red orcs and "Sargeras did nothing wrong"
Felcaller Whitley says: You will not interrupt my work. The Legion will have this world!
Felcaller Whitley says: Our new masters can make us more than mere mortals, don't you see?
Felcaller Whitley says: The Veiled Hand will rule this shattered world. We herald a new beginning!
Felcaller Whitley says: Usurper! Thief! Scoundrel! You will not deny our glorious destiny!
The fighter depends more on his inherent traits than the rogue or magic-user. Encounter an enemy? Use your Strength to hit him, Dexterity to avoid being hit, and Constitution to make it hurt less when you do get hit. Encounter a locked door? Roll Strength to break it down, or to climb around it, or roll Intelligence to find a key.
The rogue depends on specific skills. Enemy? Stealth to avoid him, or Diplomacy to make him non-hostile, or Sleight of Hand to tie the lanyard on his sword to something so he can't swing it. Locked door? Lock-picking, or Bluff to convince someone to let you through.
Wizards are based on neither core abilities nor skills. Instead they have... What? Spell slots? But they still have skills and core traits, while neither fighters nor rogues have slots. Plus spell slots become exhausted over the course of a day, while skills and abilities can be used over and over.
So this theory is incomplete. But even though it's incomplete, we can take several things away from it: first that it's okay to give the rogue more skill proficiencies/skill ranks than other classes, plus shit like 5e's expertise--which we already knew, but using this theory to reaffirm it, helps prove the theory to be at least partly valid.
Another thing we can establish though, is that fighters should get more bonuses to their inherent abilities than rogues or magic users. 5e seems to be going down this road, giving the fighter a straight-up two bonus ASIs (and the barbarian his weird capstone, plus allowing barbarians, paladins, and monks new ways to use their ability scores, plus fighting styles giving flat bonuses to attack and damage in defiance of the modifier/proficiency/advantage guidelines).
What?

Cool bleg.
So, after snorting copious amounts of stuff, I decided to post a thread dedicated to all the terrible homebrew ideas people have.
To start us out with:
-You work in an asylum for the criminally insane. Silent hill stuff starts happenening. Are you a bad enough dude to escape the asylum?
-Clown RPG where the PC's fight the forces of darkness with pies and rubber chickens. The name would probably be 'Clown: The Honkening'
-A hobo-wargame where you and your army of transients do battle against one another for turf, supplies, and those metal trash barrels that you burn stuff in.
Pic unrelated. Whats yer terrible homebrew game ideas, /tg/?
i'd totally play Clown
>>48727324
the asylum and hobo wargame sound fun
the hobo war game sounds like it could be like a "walmart apocalypse" spin off, where instead of being in ciy sized walmarts everyone lives in new york city
and the asylum shit you had me at
>silent hill stuff starts happening

This week's Monday Meeting Notes:

>Question
Do we have any idea who the antagonists in Deviant are?
>>48723104
>Do we have any idea who the antagonists in Deviant are?
The people who made you.
You're Alice, from the Resident Evil movies. Umbrella is the antagonist.
That seems like it would make things difficult if you have people who's origin is different, but presumably there are storytelling suggestions for that kind of thing.
>>48723131
Its people who want you too
You can be a self created Deviant

>The ability to use steadfast for more realistic rolls is the issue, plus the free beat
>Kindly eat a dick, we're discussing real issues with the game here and don't need someone who can't comprehend that
You seem to think "literally what an ability is intended to do" is somehow an issue. You also seem to think "the chance to get a success on something" is an "issue" when it's not.
And, of course, in the end there's always the ST to say "no, that's dumb".

Um... What is wrong with Destruction?
first for arrowboy spammers should drink bleach
Mfw I bought 2000-3000 PTS of bretonnia for 30 dollarinos
want to expand my stormcast force.
Should i get:
-Stardrake templar(because I love the model)
-2 boxes of prosecutors with javelin8to fulfill the idea of an entire winged army)
-paladins protectors(because i love their look). also, how well do they play on the battlefield?
>>48749584
Still haven't saw anyone play it irl, just a theory on /tg.
>>48749694
just 30 buck? you lucky bastard.
So I think one of my favorite PCs pulled a That Guy last night.
I hope it's not true, but I think he did, help me out /tg/.
Also, That Guy general.
>Current campaign plot devices are rings of power
>When a PC finds one and wears it they will not find out what it does until they do the action it augments
>Paladin PCs ring gives bonus to STR skill checks, found out when he asked to do a Climb.
>Wizard PC can't figure out what his is
>Ring augments mental magic effects
>Give him a trippy dream to help him understand what his ring does
>In the dream the previous wearer used it to render an entire army asleep
>Told player "you see him raise his hands, and the barbarian horde falls to the ground"
>Wakes up next morning in town
>Without waking rest of party, deliberately causes trouble in town
>Assaults guards
>Demolishes a church
>Waits for 30+ city guards and battle mages to arrive
>Raises his hand
>"I activate the ring!"
>Roll to hit
>...
>Ok one guy in the front falls asleep
>Party surprisingly killed all the guards and got away with slivers of health
>Entire session was wasted on micromanaging a 30 vs 3 fight
Was he That Guy? I honestly don't know.
>>48745688
how does this make him that guy?
Going by your rules of not knowing what the magic ring does until you use it, wouldn't he become aware of its use as soon as he used any old spell?
Also, how is it being That Guy if he is literally acting out the dream YOU described to him to try to activate his ring. If anything, you're being That DM right now. The player was just a goof, not malevolent, unless this isn't the whole picture.
>>48745688
No, you're just an idiot who cannot into effective description.
>>48745688
...no? You gave him an idea of the the Ring's purpose without explicitly stating "this is what it does." He tried it out, and it didn't work as you showed him it would. That's your fault, if anything.
Still kinda douchey to blow up an entire church though.
Is this the correct way to Chaotic Neutral?
Nope, Luffy is CG as fuck
>>48744202
I feel like some who CG should be a little against, staging a massive jailbreak
>>48744309
Jails are a lawful organization, not necessarily a good organization. When an organization like the World Government, which is more or less LE owns the jail it may not be an evil act to break out the prisoners.
That being said many of the prisoners in Impel Down were evil, but from a chaotic perspective it may still not be an evil act if you consider the authority of the government to imprison people to be illegitimate.
Or you could be like Luffy and not really think things through, but still go out of your way to help people.
