TIERS ARE USAGE-BASED. A Tier 2 deck may be better than a Tier 1 deck in a specific Metagame.

Also keep in mind that Arrakis and Spice were meant to be allegories for the Middle East and Oil. The Guild and CHOAM are basically OPEC.

Can I get some images of retrofuturistic knights with guns? I don't know what it'd be called (medievalpunk?) but I love the aesthetic of medieval society and knighthood but with modern guns.

I'm especially looking for this one picture I saw a long time ago that was some sort of knight patrol.

All right field team, this is it.

Decontanimation teams going over Wongleis manner managed to crack the deeper encryption on the private server in the panic room, and it's revealed a veritable treasure-trove of transaction data.

But that by itself was not it.

In fact, it was a bit of a lucky break.

An "Agent Fancy" of a "SolarStar" PMC contacted us and offered his gratitude for apparently saving his life by tossing him away from a demon; and in doing so transfered over a series of financial data and construction orders a subsidary company was responible for. SysWatch went over it and it reveals - in exacting detail - the location and security features of a Werwolf-77 safe house in Germany.

A safe house we know, from the data in Wongleis Manner, is currently being visited by one of the Black Furies, the inner guard of the Wolf Lodge.

So it's a safe house you will. in a word, soon be making very much unsafe.

Salient security features are internal cameras which can be controlled with an uplink spoofer, a series of FOF enabled turrets set at checkpoints, hardened interior walls and doors and a veritable armory of military gear.

Plus, of course, the entire zone is a faraday cage and it's structurally reinforced in the deeper end as it lowers from the facade of an unnoticable noodle shop.

For this mission we've taken the liberty of ordering Blue Rat to get into position to breach near you to cause additional confusion, and we've signed out enough smoke grenades to host a rave.

They're on the table behind you, and you're welcome to grab a pair as you get your other gear.

Any questions?

Oh, and our Enhanced Assets will be glad to know that Engineering fixes the heat issues with the portable missile launchers.

Unfortunately in the same breath, XenoLinguistics managed to translate the Elfdown artefact and our facility in Innsmouth is now host to what appears to some sort of sentient fish / fungus mold.

It's remarkably resistant to flame throwers, but we're showing promising signs with salt and paprika.

Rolled 2 (1d20)

Welcome to the thread for d20 station, a rules light Space Station 13 server.

>What is Space Station 13?
It's a 2D top down atmospherics simulator with who dun it gameplay layered on top. Each crew member aboard the station has a specific job to perform, while a select few are selected to be traitors (assassin/spy/thief).

>How do I play?
You'll need to download the BYOND client. There's games other than SS13, but enter those at your own risk.
BYOND Download link: http://www.byond.com/download/
You'll also want a BYOND account, which gives you a ckey so you can save preferences and be recognized by the game. It's highly recommended to make an account if you're experiencing connection issues or don't want to be a fat tourist/starving space bum.

To connect: Open BYOND, click the gear in the upper right. Click "Open Location" and paste in the IP below.
byond://76.16.8.127:28014 OR byond://d20station.ddns.net:28014

>How do I play
Use OOC (backspace say" in the bottom, type OOC and hit enter) and ask someone for help on how to play. People will almost always help you get a grip of the game if you're polite about it, just don't reveal too much in-round information in OOC. There's also wikis dedicated to documenting the spaceman way of life, but they vary widely from server to server.

>What are the rules?
The rules are very relaxed and admins try to take a hands-off approach to administrating. Admins will generally only intervene if someone is explicitly playing to ruin the game or being a dick. Reminder to read the rules in-game.

>What map/code do you run?
We run a heavily modified Ministation map with mostly custom code. Most jobs on Ministation are merged with similar counterparts and head roles have been re-enabled.

>D20 wiki where?
http://robustvinyl.com/ss13/wiki/

>When does everyone play?
Check out the server pop graph to see when people are playing: https://www.ss13.se/servers/3031/

>Who are these tripfaggots?
Usually admins/coders in the server.

ITT: The Do's and Dont's of designing a character in your opinion. Try to get at least one of each in your posts, I wanna get some discussion up in here.

DO: Whenever I make a character, I find a voice that I think fits the character and practice it until I'm happy with it. I find it really helps to get into my character if I have a voice for them. Sure, it limits the female characters I play to the ones I can actually voice, but it works well for me usually.

DONT: Write too long of a backstory. This used to be a huge problem for me. The bigger backstory I write, the more difficult it is to play the character, develop it, and get attached to it.

Also, Character art thread.

DON'T base your character entirely around a gimmicky build. Don't be That Guy sitting in the back of the group of heroes play Sir Bearington the Half-Giant Luchador.

DO give your character a reason why he would take part in the story. If you're playing D&D, your character better have a reason for adventuring.
>>
DO: As a character, react to another party member's actions. Whether it's positive or negative, when you do something and no one reacts, it kinda sucks.

DONT: Attempt to interfere with another character's actions as they're doing it. Of course, if it's a plan or something that happens over multiple turns, then act as your character would. If the dickass thief in the party goes to steal something and your character notices, it's less toxic to confront him then to try to block the party member from doing it in the first place.

Well, it's fine to have a gimmicky build, but as long as the character is a character and not just a build.

I'd play with a belligerent drunk dwarf luchadore that's banned from bars he hasn't even gone to yet from his reputation, but if the character was just dwarven wrestler that wears a mask, probably not gonna be fun to play with.

Anyone on /tg/ old enough to remember when D&D had dual-classing? You know, when players would always have their human characters take at least one level in cleric before switching over to the class they actually wanted to play.

I kind of miss all those little intricacies of AD&D that lent themselves to so much casual power-gaming.

Casual powergaming and easy-to-approach intricacies are definitely underappreciated.

It's one of the things that I really like about Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2e. You can stay in a job as long as you want, or until you get the specific things that you want and then hop into another job.

A studio that wrote some stuff for 3.5e took the open license parts of the system, added and changed some things, then released it as their own brand. 4e wasn't that well-received at the time so 3.5e players made their rebranded system pretty successful.

Vegeta's smug, irritating grin seems to be directed at you specifically. "So. These 'Dragon Balls' can grant any wish, correct?"

"Nope." Lapis tells him flatly, relaxing himself. "Not quite ANY wish."

The grin fades as Vegeta looks to him. "Tch. Okay, then what CAN they grant?"

He shrugs. "Lots of stuff. But if you, say, asked the Eternal Dragon to make your pal's head explode, I don't think he'd be capable of doing that. Though if you wanted to finally add a few centimeters to your height and stop compensating with that hair, well, worth a shot."

Vegeta squints at Lapis. "Don't try to play smart with me, Earthling. You're clearly not very good at it."

You see Lazuli crack a little smile. "Bro, you gonna take that?"

"...I'm going to refrain from talking with the two of you for the rest of my time on this miserable little planet." The Saiyan prince crosses his arms and focuses back on you. "Tuffle, Freeza intended to use these things to gain Immortality. Are they capable of granting that wish, or was he deluded by someone into believing that the case?"

>A. Yep
>B. Nah
>C. Vegeta, you realize Immortality would be an AWFUL wish, right?

Bear in mind they grow at 1cm per year for their entire life span, so younger lolis are really small, and milf lolis are around 2-3 meters tall (or 7-9 feet), so the ideal age differs depending on how much of a manlet your are.

Does non-sentient life have to remain? Because really, wiping all life is not that big of a problem when you have enough neclear devices.

Now keeping trees and birds and all this - that's the real challenge. Biological weapon should do the trick, better hope it doesn't mutate into killing the rest as well.

Of course, but they'll also need to periodically do good actions to cancel it out (which a CN character should be naturally adept at doing if they want to stay CN across the entire game). Gotta balance the meter, bro.
