Ok /tg/, what class in your experience makes the best leader in your group? Do you think there's a class that naturally gravitates players to take charge?
>>50180099
I don't think that character stats are important in determining who leads the party. What matters is the player's real life ability to take charge and have other players listen to him.
>>50180099
Paladin, Knight
But its more important which char has the most involved Backstory and ultimative its the player with most leadership skills
Paladin & Warlord
What classes are the opposite?
Tell me about your barbarian or a barbarian played by someone in your group /tg/. I want to hear a good sword and sorcerery story as told by your character's exploits
>>50179998
Are half-orc barbarians acceptable?
>>50179998
I have never seen someone play a barbarian as anything other than a massive fucking retard. I really want to see someone play a barbarian as something other than a massive fucking retard.

Forge world replied to an email and mention something strange about the inquisition.
Doesn't the AdMech have their own branch to deal with heretical tech and heresy?
>>50179953
I think they're still technically part of the inquisition
Also, what is a "Joke"
>>50179962
>Also, what is a "Joke"
We haven't yet found the template for joke.
>>50179953
It's a joke.
However, there is an Ordo Machinum that monitors the Mechanicus. I would presume they themselves have Radicals and Puritans among their ranks. Puritans would destroy all heretical tech, and Puritans would utilize it.
Whether the Mechanicus's own resources play into it is up for debate, but likely. Skitarii could probably be seconded as easily as Inquisitorial Stormtroopers and other fodder for the Inquisitor's retinue.

Let's talk about the best/worst attribute and how having all/none of it is fun.
First for you fucked it.
So, we boosted an entire truck shipping some stuff. Some of it was grenades, mostly it was comlinks and a package for mr.Johnson.
Am I insane for dissasembling anything I can't move in 24 hours, /srg/? I'm the group's decker.
>>50179517
No, having spare parts on hand isn't a bad thing. I'd check and double check that shit for tags though, unnecessary attention from the law is unnecessary. Might want to keep a couple to use as burner phones, comes up more often than I'd like.
How about a Fading Suns thread?
It's sort of like 40K crossed with Dune...I guess? Maybe? I don't know if it ever really took off, but there's a PC game adaptation also (which I now can't run either) that looks pretty rad and seems to have a cult following.
Seems odd that both the game and the pc game would fail to launch when the lore looks so cool. I haven't seen much reference to FS here on /tg/ so I thought we might pour one out for it. Did anyone play this system? How was it?
>>50179076
>40k crossed with Dune
Sorry, that's still just 40k
>>50179097
Yeah, okay. I actually don't really know how to characterize this game. It's got an Emprah, but he's wrapped up in dynastic power politics...and there's a holy church, but it's not the Golden Path. Aliens aren't really so bad, it's not like humanity is fighting for its survival.
And then the art is kind of like Shadowrun...but a feudal space-opera version of Shadowrun. It's basically a whole bunch of 90s tropes thrown in a bag together and shaken around. Pretty cool imho.
>>50179076
A quick glance makes it seem like 40K but less grimdark and kind of crossed with Battletech's setting politics-wise(at least that's what the Emperor Wars/Houses sound like). Seems pretty cool, I'll look into it further.
Scenario one: What would change if the Shaman's ritualistic mass suicide created Saitama instead of the canon Emperor?
Scenario two: In a post HH imperium, the God Emperor will automatically be bound to a host body on the condition that said host is powerful enough to sustain his tremendous soul. Pre-training Saitama lives on an Imperial world and begins to manifest his powers. Pieces of the Emperor's soul iare gradually being fused with Saitama's soul. What happens next?
>>You know what's going to happen to the eye of Terror

Hero Association
Bald Emperor
S-Class Rank 0
Sits on his golden throne all day watching the news channel, which his minions have secretly altered to not actually show any disasters because 1. No-one wants to be seen as ordering him around, and 2. Having him move too much would throw off the astronomicon thing. Each time he tries to wander away from the throne, the disturbance affects warp travel across the galaxy, so everybody tries to keep him in one place.
>2
Saitama quickly gets annoyed with the voices and wills them to "just shut the hell up". Either that, or his soul completely resists the process. Regardless, he continues his life unaffected.

Two things. One, your red band for the Rocky's is a little off. Two, there should be a little white patches in Utah.
Also your inherent premise is flawed.
In other news apparently i am a barbarian now. I can live with that.
Is the idea of magic / wizard schools just fucking stupid? Does it make magic less magical to boil everything down to curriculum?
No. It's just the logical conclusion to the idea of a sorcerer's apprentice.
>>50177878
No, but it makes magic less magical to make magic users borderline autists who can't relate to or function in the mundane world.

The Skywalker Heresy: Let's come up with some actual 40k stat lines for Star Wars units and heros.
>C3P-0
Ws 0
Bs 0
S 0
T 0
I 0
W 1
Sv 1+*
>*"I just had the most terrible dream!": C3P-0's save is invulnerable, and cannot be modified, removed or ignored by any means.

Someone did it already, but personally I don't like that the imperial army was completely left out.
Stormtroopers have a statline like 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7
So theres not much room for more standard troops
>Character is somehow connected to wolves
What is it with edgelord autists and wolves?
>>50171405
>his civilization is not based on wolves and fraticide
Get-a-load-of-this-plebian mosaic.
They're familiar, yet dangerous. They're a predator people know, because like dogs, they're just about everywhere.
And much like edgelords fancy themselves to be, they're often feared and hated by peasants, villified for taking cattlesthough nowadays that's mostly dogs and the spawn of interbreeding between dogs and wild canines like wolves and coyotes.
On top of all that there's the Alpha/Betas/Omega thing so they can feel superior to others by viewing themselves as an Alpha, or a badass loner by comparing themselves to a lone wolf. While utterly ignoring that Alpha, etc. don't exist in wild wolf packs because they're literally just familial units, Alpha/Omega behavior only occurs in unrelated adults. And, of course, ignoring that "lone wolves" are unsuccessful wolves who can't attract a mate and tend to live meager existences until they eventually die.
tl;dr, familiarity and a fundamental misunderstanding of how the creature they identify with actually behaves
>>50171624
