Kinda. I had an idea for a character like that once.
Basically, you go Lore Bard and get expertise will all your charisma skills and start loading up on enchantment spells that can pacify enemies nonviolently. Maybe even hit enemies with a 1-2 punch of enchantment spells followed by persuasion/intimidation/deception rolls. You would have to get creative with it and handle enemies on a case by case basis, as well as make sure your GM and other players are on board with it.
If you just mean a character that doesn't kill, you can just carry a healer's kit as a paladin and ask the GM to not have enemies reaching 0 hp die instantly, so that you can use your kit on them.

Once a person is infected with Glistening Oil, is there any way to remove it? Or do they just slowly die and go mad and there's nothing they can do about it?

Mycosynth was part Oil, and everyone on Mirrodin was always full of that.
Also the Vedalken liked to distill (and then drink) Oil from the blinkmoths.

Macharius Omega.
It's cheap for a Macharius tank, It's able to shoot the S9 AP2, or shoot 3 large blasts at S7 AP2 and is only a bit more expensive than the base tank.
While it comes with the risk of melting itself, if you fail a gets hot roll and you don't shoot instead you'll take D3 hullpoints off yourself.
It's a good trade off for a plasma tank, why did forge world axe it?

Should I use the larger Wulfen shield instead of the TWC shield I am currently using?
It is half again larger, and I feel like it would be closer to what he would actually use as it would cover more than just his torso if used.
Going to be replacing the backpack with one from the old upgrade sprue.

I have a weird question to ask, /tg/. Why is the wast majority of fantasy in set in a pseudo-medieval world? Is it just a legacy thing or is there is actually something about that time that appeals to the genre? I'm getting kinda thick of all the knights, kings, elves and Gendalfs. I think I would like to run weird non-modern and non-medieval fantasy game. Are there any good games or game settings like that? Is there something I should read or watch for inspiration?

basically it's due to suspension of disbelief, the closer the setting is visually to the world the audience are familiar with the harder time they have accepting fantastical elements, by making it sort of medieval Europe you can get away with a lot more and the audience will also probably know enough about it that you don't need to explain the more mundane stuff

Fantasy antiquity, run something where high magic and artifacts are being created and everything seems to be on the upswing. If you later feel like doing medieval shit have the ruins of your previous antiquity setting still be around, and high powered items that were common in fantasy antiquity be artifact level in fantasy medieval.

Give him a reach weapon and pair him with a ranged weapon expert as a primary henchman (a cohort, if you want to be super rules strict)
Utilize ranged pins/disrupts on the archer, and give the BBEG a lot of opportunity attacks and strength boosters.
Let them control the battlefield.

Just give them boosts to their saving throws and have appropriate skills chosen (Balance). It's not that hard.

I used to think that the Imperium was an inherently bad government full of inherently bad people. But I've come to realize that the people of the Imperium were given an impossible situation to manage, and it's all this guy's fault.
Seriously, fuck the Emperor. He handed Chaos an actual army on a silver platter, made sure that ordinary humans wouldn't have any context for trying to deal with Chaos, ruined humanity's ability to negotiate with alien species, and perhaps most damningly of all, created a realm much too large to be competently managed. It's easy to give the leadership of the Imperium shit, and indeed a sizable majority of them are shitty people running a dysfunctional government, but dysfunctionality was baked into the Imperium from the very beginning. The Imperium has never failed to live up to the Emperor's legacy; the Imperium is constantly struggling under the enormous pile of shit dumped onto them by the Emperor.
And now I want some story about a Sister of Battle who somehow comes to realize this, yet still finds the resolve to keep fighting for humanity, because that's what always mattered.

My players took a Necromancer prisoner. They were smart about it, shackles that prevent spell casting, stripped him to a loincloth, gagged him just in case.
The problem is this Necromancer sacrificed twenty children to Orcus in an attempt to become a lich. The PCs want to bring him back to the predominantly lawful good city
and make him stand trial for the sacrifices and repeated undead attacks on the city.
My question is: What sort of punishment would a lawful good system in dnd met out to this bastard? I would think burning at the stake or boiling, but both seem to go past "executing evil" and into "barbaric."
Any thoughts? Should it be a simple "Off with your head" or what?
Tl;dr: what kind of capital punishment would a lawful good society met out?
