As a UCM player, I'll probably have an avalon in pretty much all my fleets just because the grand laser of fuck you is too good to ignore IMO, especially when I've got the points to stick a lima buffer in with it as well. Moscows are a solid brawler as well IMO.

On the PHR side, the belle. 4 bombers and a BTL is just too good to ignore.

I'm not happy with St Pete or the battlecruisers aesthetically, so I doubt I'm going to use any other heavy choice until the alternative BC designs come out.

D&D is for Nerds - A bunch of Australians play D&D 3rd really really badly. Every single person is some variant on That Guy, which is balanced by the GM being That GM which makes the whole thing funny.

When you already look 50+ at an age <30, then you do not seem to age much. Especially with the magic of Hollywood.

White Bishop to D3, rook takes it, pawn at C2 takes rook.

Interesting position: White is up a piece for 2 pawns, but both sides have enormously devastating attacks in the wings. Black's king is stuck in place by the two bishops, and the back rank is uncovered, and it'll take some time to get the bishop out to let the rook defend things.

Meanwhile, Black is attacking no less than three of white's pieces, and has some king threats of his own.

I'm at work, and can't sit here and calculate out all the possible lines, but Nxf7 is looking like a strong initial move. It moves the knight out of the line of fire, it protects the critical bishop, and if he takes the queen, Raxd1 gives you a lot of mate threats that are hard to counter. Black's checks are more or less neutered by the possibility of Bg3, which while it would be pinned, can still nail black's kings foot to the floor.


So the "obvious" course of play for black pretty clearly loses.

Nxf7, Rxd1
Raxd1, and you've got all sorts of mate threats on d8. You can try to block them by playing something like Nd5, but then white can take his time taking your rook on a8, and play c4 when convienent, which leads him to have enough other pieces to compensate for the queen.

Black probably can't get away with taking on d1, therefore, and that means some other line, possibly centering around a counterattack of some sort, but I'm not seeing anything that regains the initiative.

So far that's the rumor. It's what I've been saying. This is the winter of 40k. Then we will get the summer of sigmar again. But until then we will have to wait. AoS stuff will pick up again at the turn of the new year. You'll see.

If it's on my side? Order my squad and/or follow orders to give it support and covering fire. As a decently vulnerable kingpiece it's our job to make sure the Angel of Death gets where he needs to go, as he's more valuable a tactical asset.

Not on my side? Its weapons are decently low RoF, full tactical retreat to a defensible, spread-out position before hitting it with the squad's anti-vehicle weapons. If we don't have anti-vehicle weapons, Krak grenades. If we don't have Krak grenades, full retreat.

assuming the Warhound plasma blastgun is the same dimensions as the Stormblade, it looks like the Reaver weapons will all be around 50% larger mount a titan power fist on a tank

you'd probably be better off building one up from scratch to the correct scale using the Reaver melta as a template

Get pic related from Blood & Skulls Industry, then mount the melta on it. Add scaffolding and other stuff. Make it looks like an improvised weapon system where they just took a titan melta and put it on a baneblade.
