Im currently driving a passed-down 2007 charger, and im sick of the goddamn thing. One thing or another is always wrong with it (brother crashed DWI it years ago; was fixed but never the same), filling it up with gas is a bitch, and besides that it's just not the car for me.
The most appealing car to me right now is the Geo Metro. I like everything I've read about it, and for whatever reason I just love the way it looks.

With their age, I wouldn't recommend one just because it will nickel-and-dime you to death unless you're willing to DIY repairs for dumb little shit. Also, rust. That being said, if you can find a good one (read the sticky for how to inspect a used car) it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Right bank is not
43K mile motor.
All 10 coils are good, all ten plugs are good, all boots and carriers are good.
Is there something that can fail and leave 1 bank not firing?

Yes, fuel and air confirmed by a cat melted shut and red hot (unburnt fuel)
This happened suddenly driving down road. Low power for a mile or two then a red hot (literally) catalytic converter.

I want to build an e39 M5 wagon by taking most components from an M5 and putting them into a e39 525i wagon.
Bumpers
Exhaust
Suspension
Axle
Drivetrain
badges (maybe)
etc
How easy would these parts be able to interchange? Would any custom fab work be needed even though it is the same chassis and engine bay? If so how much?
Would it be easier to buy a whole M5 or just get parts of ebay (they have the motor and trans, but cant find anything else) and craigslist?

i dont come here very often, but i need your help. I went to get my car inspected today and failed only because of my headlights- my passenger side headlight was "out". What really happened is that it came lose and melted the casing. The guy at the inspection station told me i should get a whole new light housing, but I just taped the light into place (temporarily) so i could have two working headlights. If i go back to the same place, can he reject me again because my "repair" isnt good enough? thanks for the help

Inspections happen for a reason. I'm so glad I live in a country that requires mandatory annual tests for any car over three years old.
And they're fucking strict, too. They even lift the car up to check for rust on the chassis and brakes.
And because I'm nice to my mechanics and treat them like human beings, they tell me what's going to wear out before the next test. Last year it was tires, this year it was brakes.
