I once had to drive from our tech center in Auburn Hills back to the local office in Chicago in January. I took the north route around Lansing thinking it would be in better shape. Boy was I wrong! That stretch west of Lansing gets fucked with lake effect and ice and just turns into a total shit storm. I was sliding all over the road trying to do 40mph in my Subaru. Then I got stuck in a jam at Kalamazoo after some knucklehead caused a pileup. And then when I got near Indiana all the overpasses were iced and windy, so the car would step out over every bridge.

The trip took me 9 hours. It fucking sucked balls.

Good news, it's not the biggest piece of shit BMW makes, since they whored out and now make MPVs. But it's still a big travesty.

It was a big sham. Just looking at it you could tell it was a cheaply made kit car that would probably blow apart with 500 HP, let alone 5000. I think Bugatti and Koeniggsegg challenged them to prove the car against there's and it never happened which was about when it was forgotten since it was obvious BS

Get an Accord, they are great general purpose vehicles. Get a V6 if you want more power and are okay with 25ish mpg.

That's what I was thinking. I can throw a nice bike rack on top if I need the extraaaa space but it does well for its size At about 5'8 would I have to sit noticeable closer to the steering wheel and will I be basically sitting on the floor? I know the seats adjust very well so I'm only really interested in being able to reach the pedals with ease without sitting to close.

Test drive both and see what you like better. I've driven about a half dozen different Cruze's in various trim levels and I've hated them all. I don't know if the Civic is as bad, but I would hope not.
