thoughts on the g35? sedans seem to be dirt cheap, looking for a milage eater thats not as boring as my es300.Any reliability issues? Alot of them from 03-05 are hovering in 100-120k miles and priced 3500-5000. IMO its a cheaper shittier e46, but thats kind of what i want.

I don't know I see a lot of Jettas with ~50k miles for less than 12 grand.

Have an 07 Mk5 GLI, bought from a stealership for 13k, super clean with 50k miles mid 2015, as far as maintenance goes, all I've needed to do is change the oil (which the 2.0T FSI engine drinks) nearing the end of 2016 with 78k miles still no signs of giving any fucks.
Mk6s are riddled with electrical issues and the Mk7s seem to be ok so far, only minor electrical things.
Done nearly 30k miles now with a stage 1+ unitronic, CAI and cat back 2.5" exhaust. Dropping in bigger downpipe, bigger intercooler, and stage 2 come this summer as well as motor and trans street mounts because super lame stock mounts.
Just research what years and Mk's you're looking at so you know what you're in for.

Should I pull the trigger on this badboy, I will be back in my hometown for christmas and plan on getting my transaxle fix.
I've fallen in love with the 944 designwise, have read good stuff about their buildquality and reliability if taken proper care of.
I'm planning to contact a porsche mechanic recommended by a friend to have it looked at before buying.
any anons with experience in 944s? I really want one, sadly the S2 models exploded in price.
Anything I should look out for? Do all 944s have powersteering and ABS?
