cool cars that your parents own/owned - ill start: my mom bought (new) a 1995 Celica and ended up getting her first speeding ticket in it
>>16284997
also from op - dad had a 1996 SL600 V12 until last year when he did a trade in, but damn that thing was fun
>>16284997
My dad took me home from the hospital delivery room in a 94
Say what you want about the 5S-FE but that car looked sweet and got like 31~ mpg. It also inherits that same sorta driver-oriented cockpit the supra perfected. neat ride
My mom drove a 81 280ZX 5spd for like 15 years.
I remember mistaking Porsches for Datsuns till i was 8 years old
Dad had a Bronco II 5spd and a pos project car C3 corvette thats mine now.
Is there a comfier automotive youtube channel?

>4 years and all those fucking miles :(
>130 in a 60. 13 CBR 600rr didn't have the GPS with me so clearly this doesn't count for shit.

All I have is this screenshot from my phone, don't have gps on dash. Car is Ford fiesta.
Hey /o/ I desperately need your help.
So I bought a 1999 Subaru Forester last year and it's been having nothing but problems everywhere.
1. It burns oil and I have to keep filling it.
2. The windshield washer fluid reservoir leaks from the rear pump
3. The coolant disappears and needs to be refilled
4. The car smells of unburnt fuel.
5. The car blows cold air despite the fact that it's almost always overheating.
I am poor as dirt and I just need to know what the problem is so I don't get jewed at the repair shop when I take it in.
This car is causing my family to fight it's so bad.
Please bros help me...
>>16284595
Half of these problems could be solved by finding the source of the coolant leak. I'd try finding it myself by checking hoses, radiator, etc. Or ditch it and get something less broken
>>16284595
Ditch the Jewbaru and get something that will never brake down like a Corolla

What's the worst make of car in the world? I mean major manufacturers.

"I love my VW! I have to spend $5000 a month on repairs but I still love my VW! You should totally buy a VW!"
What does /o/ think about S classes?
I'm 24 and am trying to move out of my kid car phase, as hard as it is. Am I too young for an S class? I've been originally been planning on a GT3 but it doesn't fit me- can't see myself in it. Also seems a bit odd to arrive places in a gt3. I've grown up in a Mercedes family so an S class makes sense.
Would I just look like a pretentious asshole?
An S-Class is not a car you drive yourself. It's one of the best cars to be driven in.
>>16284425
You're going from one extreme to the other. The S-Class average buyer is 55+ years old.
>>16284456
Are you fucking Chinese or something? S-Classes are pretty fun to drive. Especially in V8 and V12 configurations.

僕は平成3年一人旅で富山県まで行って来た。その時は田舎のうどん屋で食べた。麺は手作りで出汁も美味かった。また、オーナーの年寄の夫婦が本当に親切な人でした。
本当にいい思い出でした。

Hey guys I never post here anymore, but I really need advice.
On Sunday an NJ state trooper clocked me at 101MPH in a 55, so I've got a ticket for that, and one for careless driving.
I think I'm looking at 7 points all in all.
I have a pretty clean driving record, but my stupid ass was rushing to get home at 2am.
Anyway, how fucked am I?
>I googled how fucked I'd be
>resulted ranged from just paying tickets, to losing my license for 30 days, all the way to jail time
>I work and go to school full time so I really can't afford this shit
>probably should lawyer up
>I'm really hoping they just let me pay and leave
>court date is Monday
If anyone has an uplifting story about getting away with this type of shit I'd really appreciate it, I'm worried sick because need to figure out how I'm going to get my family christmas gifts, finish this semester with a worthwhile GPA, and keep daddy lawman from fucking my tender asshole.
>>16284154
You need to lawyer up. Couple hundred bucks to get things either completely dropped or severely reduced. Traffic court is a joke and all these attorneys do is go in, shake hands, and the entire matter is done. Given what you got, you probably won't get away with both being dropped, but you never know. More importantly you will save money in the long run and probably end up paying the same amount or less than if you just ate the tickets.
>>16284162
shit that's what i figured
>>16284154
>>probably should lawyer up
No, you should lawyer up.
>>16284162
All of this.
Why are Mustangs and Camaros so unpopular in drifting compared to Japanese cars and BMW's?
>cheap
>expendable
>large aftermarket
>FR
Are they harder to control in a drift or something?
You're comparing two different types of vehicle.
American racing heritage was born of stock car racing (muh bootleggers) and drag racing, and their sport vehicles reflect this heritage. And of course American companies being all fucking about MUH HERITAGE their vehicles reflect this.
Noone gave a fuck about dorifto, so no one made a car for dorifto.
>>16283864
Expensive
A 3k Silvia or skyline is perfect for the job
Even foxes and ls1 maros need a bit of work
>>16283879
With exception to maybe the GT86/BRZ, I don't think any car has ever been "made" for doriftu out of the factory. But pretty much any FR car will do it well out of the box, even old Volvos.
Drifting wasn't a sport in Germany, but that hasn't stopped the BMW 3-series from being one of the most popular drift cars worldwide.
AE110/111
Do you consider it to be a shitbox?
Yep
Ae86 is a shitbox desu
>>16283370
I mean
its better in every way than the AE86 and more fun but /o/ will say ae86 is the god machien and ae111was a disappointment
>Sharing is caring.
Not quite an offroading experience but I accidently had my truck in 4wd and probably ruined my CV joint but fuck ill just use 2wd and the 4wd works as long as I don't make turns. So all in all no offroading for awhile :(

Sorry to hear my kind anon.

>Be me
>Own a 1996 Honda Civic
>Like to go innawoods and shit
>Be too lazy to actually buy a 4wd vehicle
>Drive that motherfucker places nobody in their right mind would think of driving a Civic
>Like up massively washed out trails and crazy rutted muddy shit
>Never been stuck once. If it's sketchy I'm just careful and go slow
>One time I came upon a group of dudes trying to pull their friend's XJ out of a rut he got stuck in
>They're confused as fuck, one of them shouts something about my "fuckin' hyundai"
>Smile and the drive off up the trail leaving them standing there looking like a bunch of mongoloids
My opinion of 4x4 guys has been lowered a fuckload by my experiences in my Civic. Don't get me wrong, I still want something 4wd, but holy shit do I wonder if I'll ever actually "need" it.

Fucking. Triggered. I'm american and this is the EXACT reason why our cars are such garbage. That whole:
>muh heritage
>muh displacement
>muh rear wheel drive
cracks me up. Hey, we're only a few decades behind the curve!
Look at the bright side. It only took you half a century to put IRS in the Mustang.

100% false. Chevy's and Chrysler's are garbage.
