Nah, I'm not a larping fagola.

What's /o/'s opinion of the best tuner car?
Rolls-Royce Wraith
the Buick Park Avenue is the best sleeper ever invented. Throw three or four turbos on it and you've got at least 900rwhp.
Am I a newfag for thinking the Nissan Skyline GTR R34 is the best tuner car?
So I have a first gen Tundra (extended cab) which I use for work. Excellent truck, it's a pleasure to drive, but it's an absolute gas hog
I was thinking on downsizing to a 00-05 Ford Ranger to save on fuel. However, my dad is a mechanic and according to his own experiences, Rangers are rust buckets, unreliable, and with shoddy automatic transmissions. Not to mention small and uncomfortable (I'm 6'3 btw)
What does /o/ says?
tl;dr: Is the switch from a 01 Tundra to a 00-05 Ranger worth the savings on gas?
>>16299082
>Rangers are rust buckets, unreliable, and with shoddy automatic transmissions. Not to mention small and uncomfortable
Correct on all counts. Also all the small controls/knobs/door handles like to break.
If you don't need a ton of space and/or don't haul large awkward objects, get a ford transit, one of the dinky ones.
>>16299082
what do you haul?
>>16299082
why was a ranger your first thought and not a taco
downsize to that or a mitsubishi raider if it could be within your budget
Y-you dont mind, right anon?
>>16299074
Depends on how hot/rich that she/he is.
>>16299074
I mind no matter how hot she is. Pussy is just pussy.
Now if she's rich.. perhaps I don't mind
Yeah it's cool
>head into Advance Auto for some headlight bulbs and various other things that I need
>notice the cool dude that I to shoot the shit with isn't working
>probably off today, oh well
>go check out bulbs, there is only one of the size that I need on the rack
>head over to the counter to ask about another on
>fat lesbian who I have never seen before leaning on counter
>"excuse me, could you help me for a second?"
>fat lesbian gets huffy, bothered that she has to do actual work
>"I'm looking for X size bulb, you only have one on the rack. Could you check the system to see if you have any more?"
>doesn't even touch the computer, just walks to the back of an aisle and takes a few sips from a big gulp
>comes back and says that they don't have it
>ask about the cool employee
>learn that he quit and she replaced him
>ask if she can check the system to see if any of the other area stores have the bulb
>she just stares at me, then asks if I want to buy the one bulb
I guess I'll just fuck off and buy what I need from amazon or rockauto or something, nothing else I can do. There is no way a white guy is winning an argument against a lesbian in my area.
>>16299071
Ducks bro, iktf, thankfully the lesion at my shop is cool as hell, and we shut talk norm is everytime I come in.
I work at Advance. Best part time job ever imo.
>work mainly with Navy engineman who know everything about everything
>other guys know quite a bit about cars and performance
>can get parts for 50-60% off by buying them on the store account
>employees all know connections to good paint shops, mechanics etc etc
>also lend tools
Most of our parts are dog shit and overpriced but there is some good stuff in the system.
>>16299284
Good for you man, jealous of the hook up. For the rest of us plebs and wageslaves, there aren't many options. It's either wade through the more of shitty NAPA/Vatozone/Advance Auto or trust that the online vendor is going to send you the right part, the first time and on time.
Did i do good tidying up these wires /o/?
>>16298905
No.the dash cam should be up high and tucked into the headliner and down the a pillar and under the dash.
Oh wow generic twist conduit armour, I fucking hate that shit, I have to wire electrical panels and enclosures for work and I fucking absolutely hate using this shit it pisses me off especially when you use it for long wires like the ones used for screens and certain controls fuck it's insane
>>16298905
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this has to be a troll.
Run the lines through the tiny gap where the headliner meets the trim.
Also, get that shit out of the literal center of your windscreen you ENORMOUS piece of trash. Unless you're actively trying to reduce your already shit visibility and kill someone, in which case carry on.
What is this thing?
Mate your toe is jutting out of the top your foot like the dorsal fin of a shark
I've never seen a mobil1 jug with JUST English. its always English/French or English/Spanish when I go to the states.
also wtf, 5w30 in NZ, isn't shit warm as fuck there? Id' be running 5w40 or thicker
>>16298785
Yuck
It's so ugly, it has character. In a weird way, it's kind of cute.
>>16298669
there are uglier ones.
also, technically all modern cars are ugly because of their high as fuck beltlines that make them look bloated like a dead whale.
>>16298691
So angry for such a small car
So there's a first gen Celica GT that has been sitting in the parking lot by where I work for at least a year unmoved. I don't know the year or much about old Toyotas at all, but was thinking of finding out who owns it and offering him $100 to take it off his hands. Is this a good idea? It most likely doesn't run and I'm not sure what goes into these things desu.
>>16298455
Sorry for rotated pic, quickly took it on my phone and am mobile posting.
If the owner is smart they'll laugh in your face.
>>16298455
>100 for first gen Celica
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You're the reason why boomers know what they got.
Greetings /o/, noob car owner, posting for the first time.
>Got my driver's license.
>Bought my first car, a brand old shitty Volkswagen Fox '10
I'm pretty happy with it, I live on an island so it meets my needs, I can pretty much reach edge to edge in 20 minutes or so.
I don' t know if you have the equivalent of /sqt/ here, so feel free to ask any dumb questions here as well.
So, I want to replace the shirty radio player with a bluetooth set, preferably a 2-din screen for aesthetic purposes, so I can connect my phone to the car's speakers. From a quick google search, most sets go for 100-300 euros.
Are they worth buying for that price?
Do any of the third-party set (e. g. Sony) "fit in" and supported by my car or are there certain standards I must be aware of before choosing?
Is it simple enough to install for a humble /g/uy like me? Say, as easy as replacing a PC component?
If not, how much would it cost to pass the job to a proffesional and not get memed on?
Any >protips welcome.
How do you live on an island? Is your daily living area really a resort?
>>16298625
Not op but I live on an island. And before that I lived on a smaller island. So small it was the size of a large city.
It had so many fucking cars it was ridiculous because the roads couldn't take that many. Also everyone drove like shit and hence buying second hand shitboxes was the only way to go unless you were rich as fuck.
Good luck parking anything bigger than a ford fiesta too. Plenty of touge tho, but a missile was really the only option for fun.
To stay on topic you can type into eBay or any relevant website your cars make and model and find the appropriate double din or din setupi rail and even relevant trim pieces to make it look part of the interior and it's extremely easy even for a non /g/
Are Brits the only ones who care about superchargers anymore?
>>16298043
The only ones who set aside the negative aspects of using a supercharger on small-ish engines, yeah
>lt4
>Hellfat
>Mustang Trinity
Also Volvo has a twin charged motor
Which car should I get? Civic is better overall car when it comes to comfort and usability. Mazda 3 is a better driver car. Civic is kinda overpriced but at least it looks fresh and has more features. But If I go for the Civic EX, that's going to be same price as a 180 hp Mazda 3 grand touring. Help /o/, I cant really decide.
They're both generic, disposable shitboxes. it does not matter.
>>16297989
neither. ep3 for 4-5k

How much should I pay for a 2014 r3 with 2500 miles in Salt Lake city Utah?
>>16297678
50 shells
I'm looking to buy a used hot hatch as a daily driver (don't want to spend more than £2500).
Currently im swaying towards the old st fiesta, pic related. It Iooks like a great car on paper, and cost of insurance seems reasonable considering it's a 2.0l turbo.
Firstly, does anyone have experience with this car? Opinions?
Secondly, what other options are there?
Golf GTI would be amazing but decent condition examples are out of my price range, and even the mk5 GTIs look dated now, to my eye at least.
>>16297520
Get an EP3 Civic Type R.
Great bang for your buck.
>>16297520
>cheap
>fast
>reliable
pick two.
import a twingo.
>>16297553
you don't have twingos in bongland?
Talk me out of it /o/.
They're fucking shit.
>>16297409
better choose a more hardcore sport's car from the start
>>16297409
not a bad idea.
