So I have a first gen Tundra (extended cab) which I use for work. Excellent truck, it's a pleasure to drive, but it's an absolute gas hog
I was thinking on downsizing to a 00-05 Ford Ranger to save on fuel. However, my dad is a mechanic and according to his own experiences, Rangers are rust buckets, unreliable, and with shoddy automatic transmissions. Not to mention small and uncomfortable (I'm 6'3 btw)
What does /o/ says?
tl;dr: Is the switch from a 01 Tundra to a 00-05 Ranger worth the savings on gas?

Correct on all counts. Also all the small controls/knobs/door handles like to break.
If you don't need a ton of space and/or don't haul large awkward objects, get a ford transit, one of the dinky ones.

So there's a first gen Celica GT that has been sitting in the parking lot by where I work for at least a year unmoved. I don't know the year or much about old Toyotas at all, but was thinking of finding out who owns it and offering him $100 to take it off his hands. Is this a good idea? Greetings /o/, noob car owner, posting for the first time.

I'm pretty happy with it, I live on an island so it meets my needs, I can pretty much reach edge to edge in 20 minutes or so.
I don' t know if you have the equivalent of /sqt/ here, so feel free to ask any dumb questions here as well.
So, I want to replace the shirty radio player with a bluetooth set, preferably a 2-din screen for aesthetic purposes, so I can connect my phone to the car's speakers. From a quick google search, most sets go for 100-300 euros.
Are they worth buying for that price?
Do any of the third-party set (e. g. Sony) "fit in" and supported by my car or are there certain standards I must be aware of before choosing?
Is it simple enough to install for a humble /g/uy like me? Say, as easy as replacing a PC component?
If not, how much would it cost to pass the job to a proffesional and not get memed on?
Any >protips welcome.

Not op but I live on an island. And before that I lived on a smaller island. So small it was the size of a large city.
It had so many fucking cars it was ridiculous because the roads couldn't take that many. Also everyone drove like shit and hence buying second hand shitboxes was the only way to go unless you were rich as fuck.
Good luck parking anything bigger than a ford fiesta too. Plenty of touge tho, but a missile was really the only option for fun.

Which car should I get? Civic is better overall car when it comes to comfort and usability. Mazda 3 is a better driver car. Civic is kinda overpriced but at least it looks fresh and has more features. But If I go for the Civic EX, that's going to be same price as a 180 hp Mazda 3 grand touring. Help /o/, I cant really decide.

I'm looking to buy a used hot hatch as a daily driver (don't want to spend more than £2500).
Currently im swaying towards the old st fiesta, pic related. It Iooks like a great car on paper, and cost of insurance seems reasonable considering it's a 2.0l turbo.
Firstly, does anyone have experience with this car? Opinions?
Secondly, what other options are there?
Golf GTI would be amazing but decent condition examples are out of my price range, and even the mk5 GTIs look dated now, to my eye at least.
