>>34345537
you think this warranted a thread?
>>34345537
How are your jimmies OP?
This is why you are supposed to beat your sons, /k/. Otherwise they grow up into OP and make shit "MFW" threads.
I've been thinking a lot about the army recently.
The thing is, I'm a weak submissive teenage bitch who plays video games all day.
What is the army like? Does anyone have any stories about their time in the armed forces.
Are you a fuck up who thinks the army will fix your problems? If yes, join, if not, don't
>I think the military will change my personality and my fucked up testosterone levels
Your diet is fucked
Your exercise routine is fucked or non-existant.
Your body is fucked (skinnyfat or fat, fat contains aromatase which converts testosterone into estrogen resulting in a fucked mood and fucked personality)
That's how you fix yourself. Otherwise you'll just end up some quitter whino enlisted who now wears a uniform instead of normal clothers. The military is not there to fix you. You fix you.
>>34345406
Being a fatty boom boom turns my testosterone into girl hormones?
Jesus that explains some things
I recently watched a bunch of footage of ISIS and current middle eastern battles but know little about guns. Could someone tell me if this is an MG42 from world war two? How would it have gotten there, do other forces in the battles of Syria and the levant use german weapons?
At 1:44 in the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM3ElTvF52I
It does look like an MG-42.
As to how it got there one can only imagine, theese groups hog all the guns they can get.
you guys know many forces around the world used modernized mg42?
its called an mg3
>>34345350
No I don't that's why I asked. Does it use the same bullets? Was that an mg3 and if so how do these get these guns?
What was it like? Was anyone on /k/ a gun owner in the 1980s and 1970s? What was it like to have true freedom?
Back when you could defend yourself with the best hardware.
Back when police were actually allowed to their jobs
Back when humanities majors didn't even realize the military was a thing they could ruin
Tell me about gun culture in the 1980s and your experience with it
Was the 1980s as cool as everyone makes it to be?
Please /k/. There has to be one /k/ommando who experienced the 1980s as it should have been experience.
No personal experience except I remember my dad buying an AR-15 in the early 80's. Pre-ban Colt with old school aluminum mags. We lived in the suburbs and it was going to defend us from the hordes of irradiated "city-dwellers" coming for us after a nuclear exchange with the soviets.
This is cool tho:

Hey /k/ I figured you'd be the right board to ask about this.
A friend was recently telling me about his brother and issues he'd be having at his job. The brother works on a farm, and was tasked with culling the cat population.
From what I heard, this started off normally, just trapping and shooting them, but as time went on, the brother began doing extremely cruel, fucked up things to the cats.
Injecting them with different chemicals and stuff is what I heard, all the way up to antifreeze in the eyes etc....
I'm not really concerned about the cats, don't care, they're going to die anyways. However, the question is, at what point does violence go too far?
When is it time to sit back and say, "Okay, this is too fucked up to do, and will probably effect my mental health in an extremely negative way".
Also, Z*b if you see this, fuck private roads.

>When is it time to sit back and say, "Okay, this is too fucked up to do, and will probably effect my mental health in an extremely negative way"
When
>Injecting them with different chemicals and stuff is what I heard, all the way up to antifreeze in the eyes etc....
Happens
>>34345021
That's pretty messed up.
Just brain them with a pellet gun or something in the trap. Or drown or whatever.
>>34345021
Go and investigate to see what he actually doing instead of listening to rumors like /pol/ or women.
If he actually doing the stuff, report him anonymously because that shit leads serial killers.
I don't know if this is an intentional design or not, but it's really fucking annoying.
This part of my dust cover protrudes in such a way that it makes using the charging handle insanely difficult and extremely painful unless I do it very slowly. I can't just pull back on it, I have to go slow and avoid cutting my hand on this jagged piece of metal.
I'm pretty sure that the dude who gave me the gun didn't do this, but if nobody else has the problem I'll assume that's the case. Any other WASR owners care to comment? Couldn't find anything online about it.
Here's a picture from the top to show just how far out it goes compared to the rest of the dust cover
that is 100% normal for ribbed dustcover. dont like it replace it with a smooth one
>>34344992
Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make such a shitty design? And where can I buy a smooth one?
So is there any point in dropping ~$500 on an AR (plus more for sling, sights, flashlight mount, flashlight) for self defense? When would I ever need a long gun besides "muh SHTF" when I don't hunt?
I have 2 handguns, a G43 and a G19 and I kind of want to get a snubnose revolver for AIWB CC because my g43 doesn't conceal well. I'm too much of a pussy to carry a Glock appendix. I have a 32rd mag and a light on my G19 and I believe that is sufficient for HD, so do I really NEED a long gun?
Also post good snub .38s
>>34344963
Why are you asking a question when you have already justified it. In addition to shtf the another reason to by the shit is cool factor which is why you own a G43. Also refrain from gun control baiting
>>34344963
If you don't want a long gun why even create the thread?
>>34344963
>When would I ever need a long gun besides "muh SHTF" when I don't hunt?
when you need to shoot something father than 50meters away without being hickok45
How many inches is enough, anon?
Can anyone who owns a CRKT M-16 tell me if they prefer a steel or Zytel handle?
>>34345487
I have one with the steel handle. It's a decent knife for the money and the heat treat is pretty good. Only downside is that the blade does need touching up pretty frequently.
>>34345487
>>34346381
Own an M16-02Z with a zytel handle, pretty solid. Isn't loose in my hand, if that's what you're asking. Comes pretty sharp from the factory, easy to get to super sharp.
How long until we see active protection for individual infantry? And what would it look like?
Be as sci-fi as you want.
Hard mode: No lasers (or at least explain where the power is coming from ffs)
Impossible mode: No dragon dildos or sexual bodily fluids of ANY KIND, from ANY ANIMAL
sad bump because nobody likes my very carefully-written and supremely interesting thread :(
>Impossible mode: No dragon dildos or sexual bodily fluids of ANY KIND, from ANY ANIMAL
You know /k/ too well.
Probably never. Shaped explosives are still explosives. Its the same reason (smart) people dont detonate Claymores while standing right behind them, just because the primary force and shrapnel is directed in a particular direction doesn't mean that there isn't substantial blast in all other directions. The last thing you want is to strap a bunch if mini ones to your chest.
Gun virgin here.
Recently I've felt compelled to one, carry a firearm and two, live up to my position that owners of firearms should always be educated on their weapons.
Question one: what is the most effective hand gun for reliability, price, and general safety for concealed carry?
Question two: What resources are the most useful for learning operation and firearm safety?
(aside from one on one training, I'm already looking into that and will address it shortly)
Question three: Are there any resources, personal training methodologies, etc, that should be avoided?
Thanks for the help.
1. Look at some cheaper sigs first and if you don't like those look at glawks.
2. I personally learned via exposure and friends. Other people learn by watching a zillion youtube videos. Some learn by browsing gun forums. I 'unno, whatever happens to fall into your lap. Yeah you can go to gun safety and gun basics courses if you want, and those will teach you, but they cost cash.
3. Youtube videos should generally be avoided for learning about firearm basics. Some channels are good, some are bad, not worth the risk though. Honestly, as long as you're not clinically retard and have even a modem of common sense you'll be fine.
>>34344731
Thanks for the response.
One thing I forgot to include in the OP, is there a qualitative difference between the performance of a revolver or modern handgun for the purpose laid out above?
I went shooting with a buddy
>tested some handload
>finally got to shoot my AK
>FINALLY REALIZED .44 MAGNUM
Had my fill of chinese food and water.
and i found a great deal on a Ithaca M37, so im going to sell my AK tomorrow and drive two hours to buy it.
Went to work.
Slept at work.
Bid on guns.
18 hours left on one, hope I get it.
>>34344433
>plinking
eww, might as well have tossed the live cartridges into the berm.
>>34344775
>not practicing shooting so you can be a proficient marksman
>not handloading
>not shooting anything you can get your hands on.
Nerve Damage Edition
Old thread >>34223959
I don't own nor do I know lots about revolvers.
I feel like I'm missing out.
>>34315810
Get a S&W 617, they're great and you probably already have a ton of .22LR around anyway so you wouldn't have to stock another caliber while you indulge your curiosity.
The CLE IX center was a former B29 plant and then an AFV plant.
Today I went to the military vehicle show held at the IX.
>world of tanks presents
ugh
I totally appreciate they're making a lot of things possible that wouldn't be otherwise
but their game and userbase is cancer
>>34344394
I don't see war thunder stepping up to do cool stuff like this.
Is this how you properly hold a pair of shotguns?
>>34344240
Nah, just how you properly get laughed at by the entirety of the internet.
>>34344240
Ahahahaha
>>34344240
Is that the Danny phantom kid?
What's more accurate?
.17HMR or .22LR
Hmm what's more accurate, a .22lr, or a necked down .22 mag?
>>34344161
About the same, probably.
