I am visiting family here in Florida (352 area code) and was wondering if anyone knows where to find some milsurp? I have visited 7 stores here so far and the only store I found was over in DeLand and they had some good stuff just extremely over priced even by GunBroker standards. Anyone has some input on milsurp or a battle rifle it would be much appreciated.

I live an hour and a half northeast of this dude and I was gonna purchase this beauty but ultimately decided against it, not for any reason pertaining to the gun.
What's not to like? A $320 Mannlicher style stock is perfect. You can't find the ammo at places like Walmart though from what I've heard.
If you want to look for other stuff check out Armslist for sure. I just remembered this one listing I saw a few days ago and figured you'd like it.

Avoid the Mannlicher because eventually you're gonna wanna put a better barrel on it and that stock is going to hold you back.
Serious recommendation is get a basic wood stock 10/22, some BX25 ruger mags, and a shitload of ammo to plink with. If you wanted you could get a fun optic or a nice set of aperture sights later on.

I've been shooting my Remington 700 .308 up to about 100 yards. I plan on doing some long range shooting and I'd like some shooting guides if available.

Nah it's just been this way for about 8 months now.

Seriously, why the fuck would ANYONE every buy a silencer? The omega or osprey are almost 900 dollars.
The salvo 12 was, I believe, 1600 originally but now has dropped down to around 900.
These silencers aren't even all stainless steel.
You can have a machine shop make you a solvent trap kit, all stainless steel I might add, for a third of the cost.
For example, my 12g/magnum rifle solvent trap kit is going to cost me 12 per 2.75 OD 416 stainless steel, 40 for the end caps, 250 for the main tube and inner shotgun tube.
My 10.75 solvent trap kit is goin to cost me 26 per end cap, 55 for the tube and 12 per 60 degree cone baffle.
Again all stainless steel plus 20 for a spacer
You can even have them make a monocore solvent trap for less.
There is no point in buying a silencer when you can form 1 with a solvent trap kit.

^Just Bought Picture Related^, had some questions to ask -- I really need help with this. The manual is great, and I am also going to directly ask my FFL and other dealers, as well as H&K and not mess with gun. However, in the meantime though:
1. Is the correct way to release the Magzine pinching both sides of the Magazine Release? I.E. Does the Magazine release have to be pinched on both-sides in order to release the Magazine?
2. Can the Magazine be released by just pinching your right or left thumb or right or left index on one side of the Magazine relase button only?
3. Is it ok to dry fire this?
4. Is it ok to dry fire, then still pulling on trigger to pull slide back and reset trigger?
5. Does pressing the de-cocker while holding the Hammer and slowly releasing it a bad idea? [The Hammer wanted to be de-cocked but I felt the spring resistance.] Will this damage my gun?
6. Will pulling the slide thumb release while the gun is cocked and the slide pulled back and locked damage the gun?
7. what is best 9mm ammo i can buy?
