I honestly think its because if the government ever decides to take peoples property/land, they want the national guard/military to have an easy time killing the people who stand up and fight for whats theirs. The government wants a chokehold, and thus are highly homosexual.

I'm looking at the reccomended .22lr rifles pic in the sticky I'm runnning into some trouble:
The rifles I crossed out, they are not available in my country.
The ruger 10/22 is far, far more expensive than others. The Marlin 60 is really fine from what I read but I really dislike the tubular system.
And the Norinco has some bad reviews, and apparently has plastic parts that break easily.
Is the marlin 795 that much worse than the model 60? do they jam a lot? assuming proper care and manteinance, are they really the jam machines some people say?
Am I overlooking any other good .22lr rifle or will I have to cough up almost twice the price of a model 60 for a 10/22?

I almost got beaten or possibly killed the other day while drinking. I can't legally carry a gun while "intoxicated" (aka blowing anything but a 0 in my state)
What is the best non-firearm to carry? I have an ASP 21" but it's fuckhuge. I usually carry a folding knife and flashlight, maybe some pepper spray, but i'd like a contact weapon that's not a knife.
I am not trained in hand to hand combat and i'm a skinny dyel

Keep a man purse on hand. Then get one of those batons and a pepper spray can. LED Maglites are fantastic for blinding people, and make a decent backup club.
Always keep around a bit of pocket sand.

Are we at the end of the era where MBTs are practical? The advancements in drone and miss technology, as well as increased reliance on more nimble AFVs and APCs to lend close fire support in conjunction with air cav seems to have negated the practicality of MBTs as an offensive tool. They still offer obvious legitimate advantages in defensive positions, but even then engagements are/will be increasingly decided by long range ballistic missle exchange. If the Pentagon ever perfects a tank mounted laser system for missle busting, that might be one opportunity.

Drones have never fought a modern MBT before: they have faced T-72s without computerized firing systems. The Armata would shoot a Predator out of the sky. With advances in automation, tanks will get better at fighting aircraft as their guns become more accurate, not worse. Missiles already solved by APS like trophy.
