I bought some level 3 plates on ebay a while back
I have zero idea if they would actually work as they are generic and without labeling
Is there a way to determine authenticity/effectiveness without actually shooting them?

i managed to get my buddy in the local PD to give me a bunch of IIIa kevlar so now the suit is level IIIa

front plate will be made from steel and is in progress

I also have a bunch of old rare RBR Tactical Flex 35's. They were made in limited qualities in the early 2000's and were sold to AF security and our SWAT team, apparently. I'll post a thread about those this Friday when I get home.

I got some balkan war handguards for my npap, and it had a worn out TMNT sticker on it from many years ago.
It feels pretty cool to have a unique piece of history on your gun, iirc soldiers would buy bubblegum back then and the gum packs would come with stickers, so they would slap them on their rifle.

Recurve and long handle similarly, test before you buy.

For target shooting I would suggest a low poundage , one you can easily hold back for a long time, this way you work on your form more than fighting the bow. learn things in this order. Form > Aim > Distance.

Recurve. Unless you're into traditional shooting, your standard takedown recurve bow should give you everything you're looking for. If you've never shot before, start with a 25 to 30 lb. bow and work your way up to whatever you feel comfortable with, though most recreational shooters I know either stick with 30 or stop at 40. I'm sure you've already looked into this already but make sure you get a bow with the correct draw length, buy the correct arrow shafts for your poundage of bow, etc. etc. Good luck, it's a fun hobby but I gave up on it because apparently I'm an enthusiastic spender.
