nah, use wheaties so you get them with the gluten allergy too
Why are U.S law enforcement replacing MP5s with AR-15s in 9mm/45 ACPs? And why are they also switching from glocks to M&Ps?
Glock is overrated thats why
>>34629636
Why is that?
>>34629498
Are they? Because the Colt SMG is ancient and sucks works than its contemporary MP5.
Lee Enfield: has a smooth action and looks fun as heck to rapid fire, but there's no point in burning through ammo that expensive.
Mosin Nagant: I've heard they're not as well made (Russian peasant boomstick) but the ammo is seemingly cheaper and, well, everyone needs a Mosin!
I'm leaning towards the Enfield but the best economic decision is the Mosin by far, in terms of ammo and the actual gun price. My only milsurp is a sporterized Swedish Mauser M94 carbine which is nice but the ammo is a big drawback, especially since I don't know how to reload.
What do?
Enfield by a fucking country mile.
Commercial .303 isn't that bad price wise, and there is plenty of surplus .303 still hidden in closets.
>>34629193
If economics is the primary sticking point for you, neither. It's not "cheap" to shoot a Mosin or a Enfield. So reloading would be your best bet if you want to shoot either a lot (for cheap). Also, the Mosin will generally be the cheaper rifle, at around 300. Enfields are around 400-500 now for the most part.
Performance wise the Enfield will generally be better, though by how much is debatable. All milsurps generally perform about the same, so it mostly comes down to preference.
>>34629193
The time for milsurp has never passed. The time for cheap milsurp maybe, but you can still get the less popular mauser varietals for 2-400.
Can they be useful in a situation where shaped charge weapons are not available?
No, not really. You might get lucky and take out a tread, but then it and supporting infantry know youre there and you need to leave before mg fire or the Crows gets rid of you.
They're incredibly useful for shooting a nig through a thick wall, or into light armored vehicles, but they haven't been able to penrtrate a tank since early WW2 light tanks (like sloped 20mm RHA easily deflects antimat rifle rounds; the later stuart and BT tanks could deflect all but 20mm+ AT rounds frontally.
There hasn't been an "anti tank" rifle in like 70 years for a reason.
If nothing else was available it would be more useful than another small arm. It could be useful for delaying.
Was the .38 Long Colt really a bad cartridge in it's day? Everybody shits on it for not killing drugged up natives in the Philippines ("shoulda gon wit muh trusty fuddy-five"), but it's really not that much less powerful than standard .38 special.
>>34629129
a couple seconds difference in bleedout time is a big deal when some tacogook is trying to machete your face.
the whole point of 9 milimemer is capacity. when you're revolverfagging and limited to 6 rounds there's no reason to not use a bigger round like 45 colt.
It was good enough.
Shot placement is the no. 1 factor for pistols, not caliber.
Rifles tear shit apart.
>>34629129
its worth noting the natives were under the effects of narcotics and likely were not going into shock as a normal person would have, kinda like needing to mag dump a gun into a coked up druggie and watch him take 10 shots before going down
Is this how you properly hold a pair of shotguns?

Who cares if op wants to make stupid lame thread. Let him. It's his right to post absolutely horrible smelly trash on the internet. It shouldn't matter that op is a dumb dumb. Just let him make whatever pop filled thread he (or she) wants.
Answer: no

Couldn't post a current pic?
So how many are confirmed coming?
Looking for baby brothers first raifu.
He's got 300USD and doesn't want anything single shot(bolt action with internal magazine is fine)
I'm telling him to go in another 150 and get an ak.
>>34628368
Youre not gunna find a decent AK for $450 unless youre lucky as fuck. Mosin Nagant was my first rifle, nowadays they cost around $300 for some old shitty 91/30 (sadly). Id say try something low maintanece and make sure he wont let it rust away and shit. I think a lever avtion would be a nice starting weapon or maybe a ruger 10/22 but i doubt he wants something small like that but its inexpensive and super customizable.
For 450 all you'll get is an IO or some equivalent, if that's want you want then it would be quicker to just kick him in the teeth and burn the money in front of him. Decent AKs start at 500.
>>34628368
I'm kind of curious if it's possible to budget kitbash an AR for $300.
Are any of you'all drinking the H9 kool-aid? I like the idea of a striker-fired pistol with a straight-pull trigger... but I have a feeling this gun won't live up to the hype.
Concerns:
- Despite all of the claims that the gun is flat shooting, I couldn't discern any notable difference. It just looked like people were shooting an all steel 9mm.
- the trigger safety looks horrendous and pivots in a counter-clockwise fashion? Whats the point of having a straight-back 1911 pull if you are going to put a safety that essentially functions as take-up?
- Recoil did a reliability test and the thing broke at 1,000 rounds.
All that being said, I obviously want to shoot one - and if i'm being honest I'm hopeful for the little guy. I applaud the company for at least trying to be innovative.
Gimme your thoughts anons
the h9 blows - 1911s are shit-tier
Gun rags are shilling for it so it must be good

I can buy this 1942 BSA enfield for $200. The dude said that the only thing it needs is a stock set and it'll be in milspec/factory new condition.
I am not very familiar or smart with milsurp. Tell me if I'd be better off financially buying a complete one. I have no idea what these go for.
>>34627832
literally nothing wrong. buying a stock could set you back another $150 tho or more, so you'd end up spending a little bit more than a shittier original-stock smle
>>34627848
this is what I was worried about, although if I pick my own stock I can get one that isn't as worn down.
What do the complete ones go for usually?
>>34627832
A stock set and hardware would be no less than $150.
I'd wouldn't go higher than $180 personally.
You can get one between $350 $450 that is complete, depending on the maker.
Remember when other companies had displays like this at SHOT show?
