>.45ACP and 147gr subsonic 9mm, when coupled with a good suppressor are so silent that the gun's action or the bullet hitting the plate makes more noise than the firing
how true is this, /k/?
Quite true for something purpose-built and integrally suppressed like the De Lisle silent carbine or the Welrod. Less true for common guns with mounted cans.
>>34648230
A basic bitch suppressor is going to be about as effective as earpro. It's still going to be very obvious that there was a gun fired.
Now, if you've got some fancy-ass supressor, likely integrally designed as part of the weapon and subsonic ammo, it's possible, but even then you're going to get one "Hollywood" shot, another five or ten that are pretty quiet, and after that you're back to basic bitch supressor volumes until you can swap out the wipes with new ones.
>>34648277
Depends to be honest.
I may or may not have made a home made suppresor. And I may, or may not have fired it in my home. And it may have been a simple screw on type.
I may have done it with a subsonic .22, and I may have gotten off more than 50 rounds and they were Hollywood quiet
Of course that was with a .22, 9mm i can't say for sure.

Are you implying it's not important today?
>>34647483
Depends on which city-state and the time period.
We have examples from Spartan plays where homosexuality and boy-loving was mocked and ridiculed.
Hey fellas got stuck in Hutt space and was dicking around some deserted moon and found this on a crashed patrol ship, any worth keeping it?

You don't need anything more than a vibroblade to defend yourself. What are you compensating for?
If we went to Iraq/Afghanistan not as liberators but as conquerors and colonizers, would exploiting the region for its resources have paid for the war?
Is controlling a region with right of conquest and extracting natural resources still profitable in the modern world?
>>34647170
No.
>>34647194
So. . even war by conquest isn't profitable anymore?
>>34647170
Even if the resources themselves made up for the exorbitant amount we spent there, the sanctions that would be put on us by the international community, in addition to the cost in political capital of such a conquest would nullify any gains completely.

What are you even ranking them on? Air superiority? It doesn't make sense to include those designed for different purposes in one list.

I try to argue my point as to why those are bad things. That is to say, I engage in a positive social dialogue, rather than being a whiny faggot.
Stopped by a gander mtn by my house that's closing down. Walked over to the gunz and saw they had an Enfield in the used area for only $750. The only damage I saw was the front post was bent a little inward, but the actual sights looked fine. Would /k/ recommend buying this rifle? Also it's a mark 1, don't know much about Enfields to know if that's a good model or a bad one.
Here's another gayer pic with some operater hand action
>>34646791
It's a $400 rifle at best. That sort of prices is why Gander is going out of business.
>>34646812
