Question for Colorado and Washington /k/ommandos. My father has a painful illness and will not take narcotics to numb the pain. Here in Nevada, we just voted to legalize Marijuana for recreational purposes. My father and I are both gun nuts and CHL holders. We had medical marijuana in this state before, but having a license would prohibit you from legally buying, or carrying firearms. My dad smoked weed decades ago, and is open to the idea of using it to try and dull the pain he experiences daily. As I understand it you cannot be "unlawfully using, or addicted to any controlled substance ".
>tl;dr - can my dad now LEGALLY use marijuana occasionally, and still retain all of his firearms rights?
>>31983597
In Colorado, yes and no. If treated like alcohol, it should be fine. Just don't mention it to the gun clerk or come in high, and do t carry when using. However, if you get a medical card, he will not be able to purchase a gun or keep his current guns.
>>31983597
Legally no, he's still breaking federal law.
Will anyone care as long as you're dad is still in the state when he smokes? Nope. Best of luck to your father, sounds like a rough time.
Curious about this myself. What does your dad suffer from?
Recent Acquisition Thread. Just picked up this Winchester 1897, can't wait to slam fire a few rounds
My most recent was this Winchester 1894 made in 1950 for $400

Oh dang nice, how much did it run you?
Ordered a Browning X-Bolt synthetic in .22-250. Nothing special, but it's my first real centerfire rifle.

Sup /k/,
Commiefornia LAfag here.
Is an AR-15 a practical firearm for home defense, specifically apartment defense? I live in an apartment like most LAfags, and i have a nugget because poorfag. I'm about to pop 1k and i feel a nice 9mm pistol would be more efficient during such a situation. In a SHTF scenario carrying an AR-15 would be very awkward, i feel like a pistol would be better and much more low profile. I fucked my car up a year ago. How would i go about transporting this thing to the range. I feel like i may have played myself.
What do you guys think?
Apparently hollow point 5.56/.223 has even less tendency to overpenetrate than most pistol calibers. This makes it very good for urban environments.
>>31983013
>im about to pop 1k
wat?
>>31983013
Being in California, your best bet is either a decent pistol or a shotgun. Preferably a KSG.
>lived in California for 5 years
Just finished MCT, it was pretty dope.
Cool story bro.
Since when do you get your phone in MCT?

Rectum stash, just like people in jail.

Huh, in BCT we had to have a "battle buddy" at all times and that person had to stand outside the shitter with two rifles so the person in the shitter didn't kill themselves with it. Luckily, that meant that shit breaks took twice as long because you had to switch and hold your buddies rifle so you could get away from the bleachers and waiting for literally 8 hours every range day.
Fun fucking times.
Looking to build my first AR-15 after having helped my friends build his. Considering it will by my first AR and my first rifle larger than a .22, I want to build something pretty basic, inexpensive, but not cheap shit. I found this place, Outdoor Sports USA. A lot of their AR kits look like basic ARs with cheap airsoft shit attached, but I want a second opintion. Here's a kit they have for $380 that I wanna pick up. This should be fine, right? I'll post their superdeluxeairsoft turd in the the hopes that I might be slightly mistaken. I'm just looking for something that would be good to learn with, put rounds downrange, and maaaaaybe go hunting with. Semper P and thanks.
Here is their 500 dollar model. Don't give a shit about that stupid bit on the muzzle, but would that sight be worth a damn?
Buy the upper and lower half from palmettostatearmory and slap them together. Buy non PTAC and you'll be fine. If the upper doesn't have a bolt carrier group and charging handle included, you'll obviously need that. Another option is to get a stripped lower and a rifle kit from them. The stuff you mentioned looked shitty

Picked up a blem lower from PSA. Still shopping around. Might just end up picking this one up.
How much of a genuine threat is an EMP to the United States? Whether it's a dedicated EMP, a nuclear device detonated in the atmosphere or solar flares. WHAT sort of damage could it cause and would it truly cripple the country as you tend to see in movies and games.
You can bet if anyone launches any sort of shit at the US...especially a nuke...that the country that sent that shit already had dozens if not hundreds of nukes heading towards it with no hope of shooting them all down.
By the time we realized what happened the war would already be over.
It's more of a threat to the people that set it off. Especially if it's performed by detonating a nuke over the U.S. Whatever country that did it is not just getting it's government knocked over like we did to Iraq, they are getting fucking erased.
>>31982736
The United States should do a preemptive nuclear strike on the Sun.
how does one get a cheek weld with this helmet?
im not good with guns or anything, but this doesnt seem like a good idea?
>>31982191
Simple, have it flex. Use a wide reflex red dot. can't your rifle 45 degrees etc. If that is you in the picture how do you like that helmet setup? I was 50/50 with crye vs opscore.
>>31982297
>>31982191
looks like emdom.
It's mostly for helicopter gunners or other machine guns that don't have a stock.
How are you holding up, /k/
Feeling good, nigga.
Getting my life back together, go out and drink with a girl.

I'm kinda depressed. While I'm glad that Trump won and we have the first opportunity in 30 years to rollback some more gun laws, I'm still nervous and feel hopeless.
I live in Oregon and Democrats can pretty much pass any laws they want outside of tax hikes and budgets without Republican support. Our elected Governor and the state legislature has announced their intention to ram through any gun control bills they can, which includes gun violence restraining orders and magazines bans.
The worst part is that I feel like me and other gun owners in this state are completely hopeless. Knowing that in Feburary, when our legislative session begins, that they're going to be able to ram through their bullshit and us and the Repubs won't be able to do a damn thing. It's like being on deathrow and knowing the day your execution comes.
It's just kinda been making me feel down, I'm considering switching hobbies or not really prioritizing guns anymore. What's the point of enjoying a hobby if your state government makes it as hard as possible to enjoy. Any advice would be nice.

i dunno man. i live in kansas. recently passed constitutional carry, and soon the law allowing campus carry will take affect.
my friend lives in WA. I feel so bad for him. when i go visit he has all this beautiful land but he really cant shoot anymore. its so legislated that its "legal" but not really. He just has a closet full of guns and ammo and never uses them. he just stays inside and plays vidya now.
Does Agency Arms make the most professional use Glocks in the market? I've owned several Glocks including Sailent Arms and Zev Technologies, yet Agency Arms Glocks blows them out of the water.
>perfect tuned 4.5lb trigger pull with a flat faced trigger for more consistent shots
>agressive front serrations for enhanced press checks
>deepened rear serrations for more aggressive racking, especially in adverse conditions
>lightening cut to reduce weight, and increasing the tracking speed of the firearm
>standard RMR Cut, with battle plate for those who do not run red dots
>Accelerator cut stippled into frame to allow downward force to aid in recoil management
>agressive stippling that is still comfortable to carry
Package starts at only $1400. Why don't you own one, /k/?
Seems like they did a bunch of shit to make a glock into a race gun, why not just buy a race gun?
What's the point?
It's still just a glock, even if it does look fancier.
>>31981872
Glock makes the most professional use Glocks on the market. Very few things about that pistol are practical improvements over the stock Glock, the rest is just for show.
So what happens when our missles can ignore flares and chaff?

Is a Maidan possible in the US?
>>31981721
Define what you mean by "a
maidan" ?
A large mob taking over a place with weapons ? Yeah, sure. But much like Maidan, it wouldn't last forever.
As the US security agencies are much more effective than the Ukrainian agencies, it would be more a political decision over possible civil casualties than anything else.
The start of a revolution ? Not a chance.
On the last decade, Ukraine had had three large political movements that started on that place before Euromaidan.
This was just the final tipping point of an already very shakky situation that had boiled violently for a while.
In comparison, the USA only had a few spreadout prostests without clear official political aims.
>>31981721
No, it happened, because Ukrainian president did not give order to police to clean this shit up and just fled. US police will deal with such public disobeying actions with extreme brutality and efficiency.
>>31982249
Which is why it would be better to let their families know what molotvs taste like
Are Mosins or SKS going to be cheap again when Trump brings in his 2a policies? How about any other guns?
I want a rifle. Currently I have a M&P Shield and a Glock 19.
Hopefully we get back to $400 Saiga level.
;_; he's gonna cut off china though.
Norinco, why must you be so far away?

If Russia cannot even make S-Ducts, how will they even manage to stop stealth fighters from bombing their military regime? I am with Hillary on this, F-22 Stealth Fighters should enforce a no fly zone in Syria to save the Freedom Fighter and bomb Syrian and Russian terrorists on the ground, Russia does not have the capability to stop this.
>>31981313
>he thinks this is clever
>>31981313
>to save the Freedom Fighter
It's too late to save the Freedom Fighter.
