What do you guys think? I like them, I think it would make a great truck gun for what it is.
I got to hold one last week and haven't been able to get it off my mind, the first time I saw irl too, seriously fucking cool.
I didn't have the money for it at the time ($600) but now I do and am going back for it monday if it's still there.
Opinions? I'm getting it primarily for a truck gun, I don't want to waste money on this if it's not worth it. I'm sure there are people here that are more familiar with them than I am, what are your thoughts?
I don't usually make threads about this, but I don't want to fuck myself out of $600 if I'm just enamored.
>>31978404
>>31978404
you got jacked. $600 for that trash is unreal.
There is no way in hell I would trust my life to one, completely unreliable at best.
Pic related, mine.
>>31978436
What is unreliable about it and is it conditional?
Anybody like my $20 knife?
>>31978147
fuck off. a real thread had to die so this abortion could be born.
kys
>>31978147
That's fucking garbage
>>31978147
You are not on the budk forum.
What weapons make you cringe
For me it's throwing knives and "self defense pocket knives"
>>31977087
Any AR made by anyone other than colt
Knives in general. Fucking useless
Tactical anything
Also, any time someone mods a gun THAT THEY OWN and 4chan throws a hissy fit
>>31977087
Sorry but a pocket knife is still better than nothing. I mean would you seriously like to be stabbed by one? No? Then they're effective as a deterrent and a last ditch weapon.
>>31977087
Knifes are alright, but a knife with serrated and straight blade on the same side? Maybe it's just me but I don't see any practical use.
What's /k/'s opinion on the Beretta 90-two?
>>31976850
Ordering one by telephone sucks.
"Beretta 90-two"
"Oh, the ol' 92?"
"Uh, the new one, the ninety-dash-two?"
"Ah yeah, we got some new 92 ones in with a rail and everything"
>>31976850
I personally prefer the old 92FS's looks, but a Beretta's a Beretta. Hard to really go wrong there.
Worst name
How many of you have lost one of these to carpet? Don't lie I'll be able to tell.
>>31975601
0, I don't have any carpet, just wood floors.
I really wanted to cry after the third time.
>>31975601
Never completely lost one but there has been a lot of furious swearing and cold sweats as I search for one that rolled off my desk.
So more Hillary supporters attacked someone.

Unfortunately the poor guy lives in chitown and is legally unable to defend himself.
What weapon should a Chicago cuck carry if they want to survive the next few weeks?
Too much?
Cheap and affective
>>31975454
>Unfortunately the poor guy lives in chitown and is legally unable to defend himself.
wrong. why do you spew this bullshit? we have CCW and defacto stand you ground
Saw this in an recently pruned thread, how does the IMATRONIC Lasersight LS45 work? Is there a scope, or is it simply a laser? How do you aim if you're giving up your sights?
It's a laser with back up irons. You can see them on top of the laser unit.
>>31973796
There's no scope? It's literally just a laser? Holy shit.
>>31973822
its old as fuck, dude
So now that the USA has reconciled with Russia, is it time to ditch the M1 Abrahams and get a REAL tank?
We will as a soon as we find one.
>>31972109
Whew that was a close one, the USA doesn't use a tank called 'Abrahams'.
>>31972174
What this dude said.
Also, just FYI OP, the plant that made the T-14 is facing severe financial problems.
wtf i hate spiders now
i am now a #spidermissile
YUCK
>>31971709
it's just a jumping spider. they're the bros of the arachnid world.
pic semi related
>>31971727
This.
That is now your designated spider-buddy.
How was a 112 lb severely autistic kid able to shoot into a school with well over 40 lbs of gear and kill 26 people in 6 minutes?
I'm infantry and there are only a handful of people in my platoon I would genuinely believe could accomplish that. I'm not special forces or anything, but in conversations I've had, I was told there's no way someone without pretty good firearms training and tactics could have pulled that off, let alone a kid who could barely tie his own shoes.
He wasn't.
>>31970990
>shoot line resource officer
>standard procedure for school shootings is to stay in classrooms and lock doors
>shoot off locks
At that point it's literally fish in a barrel until the police storm the place an hour and a half later. At newtown there were several cops on scene but didn't enter because procedure is to wait for SWAT IIRC.
>>31970990
>I'm infantry and there are only a handful of people in my platoon I would genuinely believe could accomplish that
Wait, their recruiting standards fell below even "severely autistic"?
With killbots right around the corner according to most laymen mechanic magazines, one has to wonder what exactly their programming will be to make them efficient killers who don't stray into war crime territory by accident.
What do you think the "ethics" of military robots will be? How will they be programmed?
When I say program, I don't mean the nitty-gritty coding, I mean what general principles will they be coded by? For example, Asimov's three laws of robotics are as follow:
>A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
>A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
>A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Obviously, such a robot would be a very shitty military soldier, unable to kill enemy soldiers.
So what do you think the "Laws of Military Robotics" will be when they start programming killbots?
>>31970174
Take a step back, and literally fuck your own face. Not gonna happen.
Everything still has a human operator.
The gun turrets made by Samsung, and the Israeli ones around Gaza can identify, and track targets in their AOA but can not shoot on their own.
I imagine in a real shooting war, they will either only kill things in cordoned off areas (like the DMZ) or they will track, and identify, and wait for a human operator to make the decision to shoot.
>>31970174
>Obviously, such a robot would be a very shitty military soldier, unable to kill enemy soldiers.
Military robots literally wouldn't even need to be lethal. A swarm of bulletproof marathon sprinters with IR scopes for eyes and no sense of fear could literally swarm defensive positions and beat enemies into submission.
I know it's been talked about a lot after Trump won but is there actually any real chance to the Hughes amendment getting repealed? or is that just a meme..?
>>31982433
I personally feel as though at this juncture, we might have a better chance than before. I sincerely hope it can be done away with.
>>31982433
for a second I thought this was black people swimming
>>31982433
No, but there is a much more realistic chance that national CCW reciprocity or the removal of suppressors/SBRs/SBSs from the NFA may occur within the next 4 years.
Anyone own a Colt 1851 Navy or similar percussion cap revolver? I was looking into a brass-framed Pietta just for a cheap range toy. Wouldn't shoot it too often so the slightly weaker frame isn't a concern.
Thoughts?
Also Black powder general
Also can anyone tell me about other brands like Uberti? general tips/advice etc.
also post pictures of yours if you've got one
>>31981697
Don't know too much about them but I've always heard that Uberti is better quality than Pietta, Armisport, etc.
Two general rules of thumb.
Unless you're going to be shooting it relatively immediately, never load all six chambers and always keep them hammer down on an empty chamber. These old revolvers have the "firing pin" on the hammer itself and can fire when dropped or jarred if the hammer is down on a cap / cartridge.
Secondly, never keep a black powder weapon loaded for any very prolonged period of time. This is more towards some autist who thinks they want to keep a musket for home defense and leave black powder in the barrel for weeks / months on end. It's not good for them.
>>31981929
This, if you ever actually need to have a combat ready BP gun make sure you change the powder every day, just like the guys who beat Napoleon.
Hi /k/
No guns fag here. Looking to get into long range shooting. Wife won't let me get fun guns. "No scary guns in the house". FML.
What rifle should I get for long range shooting?
Scope recommendations?
Ammo recommendations?
Rifling recommendations?
I'd help to be under $1000 for the package but am not afraid of spending more.
Thanks
Easy divorce
>wife won't let me
Hahahahahahahahaha. File for divorce. Now. The longer you stay with her the long you will have to pay her.
That said, tikka T3 in 6.5 creedmoor
For real though. Get a Remington 700 sps. I have a varmint on 308. Just shot it today at 750 yards for first time. Spent thw whole time ringing steel but tan out a silhouette and got a headshot. A good thing to remember is that a good rifle with a cheapo scope is useless. A cheap rifle with a good scope is priceless. My setup including rifle, scope, scope mount, magpul stock, detachable box magazine well, and bipod ran about $1730. But with just rifle scope and mount 730 120 and 575 = $1425.
Oh and pic related
Who else went to Wanenmacher in Tulsa today? Anyone else see the Pedersen rifle that one guy was selling?
Also, gun show story thread.
>find a No.5 Mk.1 made from a No.I Mk.III for $300
>fuck it, looks cool
>buy it
>guy behind table acts really weird, as if he's nervous about me buying it, and makes me wait like two minutes while he discusses it with the other guy running the table
>finally sell it to me
>as I walk away I feel really weird about the rifle I was sold
>can't shake it
>sell Mosin, decide to try and trade No.5 plus cash for a No.I Mk.III or a No.4 Mk.2
>one guy offers his No.4 Mk.2 for my carbine plus $150
>best offer I get
>ohwell.jpg
>still have weird feeling about carbine, ask about refund
>younger guy instantly panics, says I have to wait for older guy to stop inspecting some guy's knife before we discuss
>stand there for 15 minutes
>finally younger guy just usurps his friend and says "most I'll give you is a hundred"
>decide that being $200 down while they keep their rifle isn't a good option
>head home
>discover that the flash hider and front sight are so loose they can be rotated by hand
>what the fuck
>drive back to gun show and accept the deal on the No.4 Mk.2
>with Mosin sale factored in, basically got a No.4 Mk.2 in very good condition for about $250, not counting some ammo I bought
And that's how I got my first Enfield. Saw some guy in Flecktarn wearing a /k/ patch too, but didn't say anything to him.
Pretty dick move to essentially rent you the rifle for an hour for 200 bucks. Fucking fudds man.
>>31981956
Yeah. Their reason was weird too. They kept saying they had no way of knowing it was actually the rifle they sold me and didn't have pictures of the original serial number. It was bizarre.
>>31981467
>Saw some guy in Flecktarn wearing a /k/ patch too, but didn't say anything to him.
Describe him in detail for me please
