>in the 60s you could buy a US Army Helmet for $2
What the fuck.
What is the cheapest you can get a current issue army helmet for nowadays? $50? Christ alive.
>>31980984
Back then they were literally just a bit of bent steel with a strap.
Its a bit more complicated today
>retarded child doesnt know about inflation and currency values
what the fuck?
what is the most stupid board nowdays? /k/? christ alive.
>>31981009
$2 in 1960 is about $15 today.
its still fucking peanuts, moron
Has anyone here bought from Buds? share your good or bad experiences.
>>31980290
I have bought most my handguns from them, the prices range from good to average and have hand no issues regarding shipping or product quality from them.

I bought a Mossberg Patriot in .308 and a Marlin 60 from them. They were fine, but I prefer Prepper Gun Shop these days.
It was nice that they already had my favorite FFL on file.
So now that we have trump, and republican control, does /k/ think ammo will be more available than b4? Will prices on guns go down? Are we finally safe from the mean ol gun grabbers?? What does /k/ think?
We are never safe. The tide has receded for but a moment and we must hasten to repair the dike, to return it to its original glory and rebuild all the pieces carved out of it, because when the anti-gun waters return they will crash against us ever the harder.
In only 2 years will be the midterm elections. We cannot rest.
>>31979809
We've bought four years of breathing space at the federal level -- nothing more. Our enemies will keep trying to turn red states purple and blue states bluer, and will keep whipping themselves into a frothing shit-eating lather.
My own personal best guess is no. The price of ammo and funz will stabilize. The chances of your having to expend some in self defense will probably go up, however. Especially if you live in a large city.
Nah, ammo prices had a lot more to do with demand for metals in China affecting brass cost than anything else.
ARs have been cheap since the market dropped out from under then after the Sandy Hook panic. AKs are due to weak supply due to EOs and all the civil wars in the ME.
Hunting rifles have been priced about the same as they ever were.
MA resident here(behind enemy lines)
What is the best starter rifle or AR that complies with the law?
What are mass rifle laws
Can't be an AR /AK Copy or have attachments, etc

Can /k/ recommend me any good films in the same style of Sicario, 13 hours the secret soldiers of Benghazi or black hawk down? I'd really appreciate some tips otherwise I will just end up watching saving private Ryan for the 10th time and I don't wanna do that today.
anyone? bls?
Bump, also want to know. Watched 13 hours again yesterday for the sweet operating and i want more.
fun fact, they plan on making a spin off movie from sicario.
>solado

Alright /k/, is there something uniquely destructive about steel case ammo?
I went to an indoor range yesterday to shoot my AR. I was wanting to break it in so I just had some cheapo Monarch from Academy. The chick at the counter said I couldn't use it there because it had a muzzle velocity of 3261 which was over the 3200 they allow and also because it was steel core and would destroy their backdrop. Neither of these rules are posted anywhere, mind you.
When I told her I had been there twice before and shot the same stuff she said that whoever was working that day must not have looked close enough when they checked my ammo. She then offered to sell me a box of their ammo for $25. I said no and instead went to my buddy's land today and shot my cheap shit to my heart's content.
So my question is, is steel case uniquely destructive to indoor ranges or were they just being retarded and trying to Jew me?
They want your brass, steel is worthless to them
>>31979505
Literally this. I never go to ranges. I always go to friends land and shoot.
>>31979505
That's what I figured. Part of the reason I hate going to ranges. If its not the other shooters its the owners who are assholes.
Glad I have access to land but the side of town I was on made that range more convenient.
Americans need to be thankful this monster and other marvelous axis planes were not built because otherwise U.S would have been blasted to hell.
Just look at it, its the plane of a god, even the Galaxy C-5 looks like a retarded midget compared to it!
"W-wha tabout the mighty B-36?"
Simply a toy in comparison
>made out of wood
>not enough oil to power 2 of them
chinks suck at war
>>31979482
it would have been built with metal, not wood
Imagine a fleet of these flying to L.A to drop 900 paratroopers each.
>>31979531
ching chongs had not enough metal or oil or know how.
>they didn't even have a good tank
>not one good rifle
>shitty machine guns

How do I deal with the shame and self disappointment and regret of having never served? I should have enlisted at 17. Now I'm 21 and my life has passed me by. All those missed opportunities.
>>31979379
You can enlist at anything up to 30 years of age, dude. There's nothing stopping you from walking into a recruitment center right now.
>>31979379
21 is nothing. Do it.
As the others have said, you're 21. It obviously doesn't bother you that badly if you aren't walking into a recruitment center before you only get older.
How much is this worth?
Mosin Nagant 1894
Made in France, Chatellerault
Has a "Deutsches Reich" mark on the stock, presumably captured in WW1 by Germans
Has a Finnish military mark on it, probably sent by the Germans to the Finnish in the civil war.
Somehow ended up in the hands of some hunters for saving an officer and slightly used in hunting as well
Sorta worn (Probably seen combat more than once), medium rust and still has bayonet, bayonet sheath, cleaning rod and even the original sling but lacks rear sights

I'm studying manufacturing engineering and have had work experience in prototyping (mostly casting and mold making for toys and figures).
I've looked at some of the 3D printed lowers that warfairy has come up with and now i'm keen to either print, mold and cast a few of his or design one myself.
tl;dr: post/discuss concept guns you'd like to see prototypes of.
>>31978870
bumping for interest.
>>31978870
From a mechanical engineer: 3D printing sucks for anything that has any type of force on it. Don't count on anything having any type of structural integrity.
>>31978870
That looks neato! Hows it shoot?
I am thinking of getting a CZ 527 in x39 for my first gun. Can these feed through the action or do you take the mag out first? How many magazines and what other accessories does /k/ like with it?
Are there any other guns with similarly priced ammo I am better off getting? (Ie, a carbine in 9mm, .223, or .357/.38)?
I live in a cuck state so I don't plan on an AR or a pistol, at least not for my first gun.
Also how many mags do you you generally get for a gun like this?
Generally you only have that one mag and it stays in the gun except to be cleaned.
I would personally get the .223/5.56 version if available being as they're far more domestic productin of that round, and it comes in brass rather than steel 90% of the time.
the pistol calibers are better off in pistols. Nothing really wrong with them, but getting one in a rifle caliber opens far more doors for use. You ain't taking this thing hunting anything higher than a rabbit with a pistol cartridge, .357 aside.
>>31978732
>x39
Be moar pacific
>>31978803
There's only one x39 (7.62) which isn't a meme round
Space... The Final Front.
These are the battles, of the Starship Enterprise.
Its on going mission, to stamp out new life and new civilizations.
To Brutally kill, what nobody has killed before!
Come on /k/! We going to the /k/osmos!
I'd watch this
The Enterprise.
>A Olympus class Strike/k/ruiser.
>Strikecruisers are a class a warship notable for both its speed and firepower.
>While Dreadnaught class ships, posses both armor and firepower, the strikecruiser is far faster and cheaper to produce.
>While lacking a spinal mount Particle Cannon. Its heavy railguns and middle battery's make up for this.
>Also notable is a Marine Company deployed on board.
>The Marines are both for Boarding/Counter-boarding, and to enforce discipline.
>While larger ships such as Landing Ships, can carry up to Division strength, but are slow and vulnerable.
Sure, why not.
ITT new weapons idea
what do you think of
>tank that is designed specificly for recon/observation and sniping
>it will have a big gun that has a targetting computer like the robot optic gun
>it has high camoflage ability so no one see it from far.
>It has sensor all over it and communication system
>also electronic snooping and jamming devices
I call it a sniper tank
picture not related
>>31978116
Your idea is retarded, an MBT fills that role.
Alternatively ATGM teams fill that role.
>>31978139
No the whole tank wpild be designed so there is hardly any noise at all and the exteriare of the tank would be like octa camo in mgs 4 where the texture changes so no one can see the tank
Also it woild have a long range and be small so it can go inside of woods and shit
>>31978116
you mean tank destroyer?
What the fuck is this thing? It looks like an AK had nasty hate sex with a UMP and the resulting baby ossified in the womb.
>>31977909
looks kinda like the pp19-01
>>31977909
Some retarded 9mm AK
