Hey /K/unts newfag here, I've been looking to buy my first serious knife (I.E not something from Amazon or walmart) and have been looking at the Benchmark infidel 3300, is this a wise decision?
>>31987718
If you want a good, reasonably priced 'first knife', check out the Buck 119. It's solid, large enough for damned near anything without being fuck-huge, holds an edge pretty well, and is pretty inexpensive. My father gave me mine after years of beating the dog shit out of it, and it's held up beautifully.
>>31987718
I'll sell you my infidel
>>31987718
can you carry an auto in your state? dagger? if no to either probably not a wise decision. that fucker is like 400 bucks probably should go with a spyderco or benchmade folder. i'd suggest the benchmade griptilian or the spyderco endura.
I'm trying to find out what rail and grip these are. Can anyone help please.
>>31987716
Ew.
>>31987746
U don't like it?
Anyone here?
Can we talk about how badass this plane is?
Yeah, we can.
Any airplane pilots prefer to crash land in rather than jump out is an off the scale badass in my book.
Plus all the other stuff - one of the earliest bubble canopies, great cockpit layout, excellent armament, and all the interesting tech behind the making of such a huge fighter plane by WW2 standards.
A shame it had a very bumpy beginning, mostly due to the need for better propeller blades to put down all that power - it was like a NASCAR on street tires at first. Oh and the short range.
But damn if it isn't the most American plane of the war.
>>31987500
Is the double wasp engine just as tough?
>>31987464
Looks ugly though. Too fat and generic looking. Doesn't look like a fearsome or graceful plane, no matter how good it is.
Would you buy a Tigr if Trump undoes the Izhmash ban and we start importing them?
>>31987149
I would take out school loans in a heart beat to purchase one
>>31987149
YES.
ALL OF MY FUCKING YES.
Is that bottom one in 9.3x64mm?
Who here /range day/?
What are you shooting?
How much you shooting?
Howd you shoot?
Where are you shooting?
Range day general.
>>31987083
That guy has some serious turtle neck going on
>>31987083
That a trap only range? I find trap to be extrmemely boring.
I shoot 9mm in the backyard and occasionally 556 at 36 yards.
Stuck in bed, might drag myself out to go to the range. Haven't really left my house and the hospital for months. All the ranges suck around here though.
I miss shooting.
I can't stop buying 380 pocket pistols. How do I stop being a faggot? Does Mike Pence have a treatment for me?
Compacts are for real men.
Big plastic unbalanced pistols are for fags.
>>31986499
Depends, do you have sex with men?
Literally nothing wrong with buying pocket pistols.
>>31986499
its just a phase faggot.
Will you add tactical balls to your rifle?
are these a vfg or afg
>>31986249
Neither, ATF says it's decoration unless used differently in individual cases
Long time lurker, first time poster
Going to get my first AR this Xmas as a gift to myself. I got about $1400 to play with and I'm open to suggestions.
I was going to go with a Colt LE6920 Series. But these AR's from the Live Free Armory got my attention for a good starter (although I couldn't find reviews anywhere). Looking to get recommendations for a good starter AR. I figured the /k/ommandos would be a good place to start.
tl;dr looking for suggestions for first AR
>>31985763
Do you know what kind of barrel length you want?
Do you want a keymod or m-lok rails?
Do you know what those are?
>>31985779
Between 18-20 inch. At least from what I've seen on /k/ that the ideal length for an AR barrel.
preferably m-lok.
buy BCM upper group, midlength gas system, enhanced light weight barrel, KMR alpha
buy any lower group, buy CMG 3.5lb drop in trigger.
buy WOTG sling or LAV sling
buy WOTG light mount
buy surefire or streamlight protac light
What do you reckon he'd say about firearms?
>>31985150
He would say they are unnecessary, and then he would sit down for a while.
>“Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor,” Gandhi wrote in his work The Doctrine of the Sword.
>“When violence] is offered in self-defence or for the defence of the defenceless, it is an act of bravery far better than cowardly submission.”
>>31985154
>then he would sit down for a while
I don't get it.
Can anyone Identify this knife, Im buying it tomorrow for 170 AUD. Any info??

>>31984976
looks kind of like a butterfly knife
STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!
I recently found out that not only Germans like myself are allowed to buy guns here in Germany but that there is apparently no law against foreigners doing the same as long as they provide sufficient documents from the police of their home country and are living in Germany (which is of course no problem for EU citizens).
That seems quite fast, considering that getting a hunting license here can be a matter of ten days, such a license means you can buy an unlimited amount of rifles and shotguns (including semi autos of all kinds) and that the law is usually less friendly to foreigners in many other matters.
Is this just here or are other countries similar in that aspect?
>>31984734
Same in Switzerland when you have the residential permit B or C.
If you belong to Sri Lanka, Serbia, Tunisia Macedonia, Turkey, Algeria, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia you cannot buy guns though.
>>31984734
You can get a gun legally with no background check or license through armslist in 'murica because of muh gun show loophole.
It's not that big a deal, terrorists aren't killing people with legal guns in Europe. Tacking on extra layers of bureaucracy wont make you safer.
>>31984749
>It's not that big a deal, terrorists aren't killing people with legal guns in Europe. Tacking on extra layers of bureaucracy wont make you safer.
I know. Im not criticizing it since guns are available from every eastern european country and there is literally a civil war a few hundred kilometers away.
Im just wondering if the legal processes are similar in other countries.
>>31984742
Interesting. So its not just Germany.
I know we have at least 3 of these threads a day, but I'm a Brit, aged 23 and getting to that "if you don't do it now you'll regret it forever" stage.
What advice would you give me?
>>31984708
Do it now, otherwise you may not be able to do it later.
I had a friend who was same position but also wanted to do school. I told her, there is no time limit that prevents you from earning an education, there is one for joining the military.
>>31984708
In the process of joining myself, was at selection on Thursday. Best advice is just do it, mostly online quite a straightforward process. Just make sure your run time is really low and you know EVERYTHING about the regiment and your job choice
>>31985424
How did it go
So Trump has promised some sweeping changes to the military:
>Increase active army to 540K
>Increase USMC to 36 infantry battalions
>350 naval ships
>1200 fighter jets
As well as increased missile and cyber defense.
Is this necessary? Is this good? What is lacking is:
>revamping aged and worn logistics vehicles/aircraft
>addressing our ICBM fleet
>bombers and CAS
>C2 capes (AWACS, etc)
>new rifles and body armor for infantry
>Stryker meant to be interim vehicle, what replaces it?
>M1 and M2 replacements
>upgraded artillery
Absolutely.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
I love Trump winning but oh jeez I wish he planned on working on your second list instead of the first.
Well, if we are going to retract spending from NATO we might as well reinvest it in our own military.
Is a lever action more viable as a scout rifle?
>already comes with iron sights
>already comes with short(er) barrel usually
>faster to cycle than a bolt gun (depending)
Only disadvantage would be range of the 30-30 vs a 308. and the slightly slower loading
>>31984269
>faster to cycle
you've clearly never seen autistic people use a enfield
>30-30
I've got a levergat that uses 308
>>31984279
>you've clearly never seen autistic people use a enfield
True, but most of the scout-ready rifles ive seen like the mossberg scout seem like autistic renditions of people trying to make a bolt gun an AR-15 which is missing the point.
>I've got a levergat that uses 308
Is it a Browning BLR? doesnt it only hold like 3 rounds?
>>31984269
No. What you want for an "improved scout rifle" is a lightweight 6.5 Grendel AR-15 build. Other than the round, which is arguably better than .308 for most purposes, you can check every box on Cooper's list with it if you try.
While there are many "better" tools for the job, would an m1 carbine suffice as an acceptable home defense weapon?
Also, do Springfield M1a's deserve the bad rep that they get?
>>31984099
>would an m1 carbine suffice as an acceptable home defense weapon?
If it can repel human waves of Chinese then yeah certainly.
>>31984099
>would an m1 carbine suffice as an acceptable home defense weapon?
>short
>semi auto
It's better than the pump action shotgun meme at least.
Only way it could be let down is lack of ammo availability.
You could role play with home invader and pretend they are chinese hoard, trying to extend their line in vain to get better bargaining position at the 3 party talks.
