jelly much ameribro?
So, I'm thinking axes are possibly one of the greatest improvised weapons. You can get a decent hatchet for relatively cheap and they're good for yard work, and should you need a weapon, they would be easy to use. Pic kinda related
So the tool that has also been used as a weapon and has similar forms in their dedicated weapon form is probably the best kind of improvised weapon? Next you'd say that a knife or a bludgeon of some kind are also good improvised weapons.
Machete is better. Just ask the Rwandans.
>>31986302
That and it was readily available because it's a common agricultural tool there.
A machete is fast, yeah, and it's good as a tool when used against light woods, but compared to a tomahawk, it lack the ability to pierce and breach harder targets. Axes also allow for hooking and manipulating in CQC, obviously if you're trained in that. A proper full tang axe has a lot of merit as a tool for urban fighting.

Get a job hippie
Who here likes iron sights? I read the USMC documents on this thing and I'm actually a little impressed. BZO wise it has a lot of utility.
BZO procedure:
1 Set rear site elevation to 3/6 (300 yards)
2 Fire at 36 yards adjusting front site tip as needed to change shot placement.
Now your rounds will impact at point of aim at 36 and 300 meters.
If you flip the rear site to the large "0-2" aperture, you are now BZO to hit closer to point of aim at 0-200 yards. Notice the aperture is set higher (lowering your point of impact) and to the right (to account for the quarter turn of windage that is made when you rotate the rear site on the threads).
For what its worth these sights are pretty idiot proof and I would say pretty reliable. Its hard to fuck them up I guess.

How do other anons zero their weapons? Each site/weapon will sort of have its own BZO procedure right? I notice a lot of kids at the range drop thousands on a rifle and nice glass but never seam to high target. I am guessing this is because they zero their shit at 100 yards or whatever but past that their elevation needs to be adjusted. Or something. But basically they are not using their glass the way it was designed, I'm sure each optic has a way to set it up so you can hit point of aim at 25/200 for example, then use different marks on the optic to adjust for range.
Well /k/ I bought my first firearm today. I settled with a mossberg 702 Plinkster .22lr
I was using gift card money and some cash I had to get one and I say i am pleased. Other than some feeding issues. The rifle shoots nice and steady. My knowledge of firearms are slim so im slowly learning.
What other budget guns are out there that I could have chose as well that are a good choice?
Where does a novice go from here? I've also shot a type 56 sks from the old days and a couple glocks in the 40-45 cal range. (Gen not sure)
Oh and my money is TIGHT TIGHT so Im not able to get an ar-15 or anything.
The ammo for the rifle above im using is cci. What do you all shoot? Prefer?

For 100 bucks not much. For 200 bucks you're into some lower-end, but decently reliable, shotguns. Between 2-300 is the magic number for beginners. You could get most of the EAA lineup of handguns which are good, police trade-in Glock and sometimes Sigs, used higher end shotguns of semi-auto or pump origin, anything Taurus has ever made because their fanboys won't "take less than what I think it's worth", used Berettas be it sub-compact up to full size battle pistols and 3/4 of the compact/subcompact line that exists.
Not to mention surplus stuff. TTs, Kareens, Jerichos, Nuggets etc can all be had for under 250 if you look enough. There are also a ton of decent bolt action rifles that hover around the 2-400 dollar mark.

I see thanks for the input. I know next time ill be shelling a little more money because its true you get what you pay for.
Now Im not trying to be a "g" or nothing but has anyone dabbled with intratec products?
I had another choice of buying a high point for little more that looked "okay" but I hear people trash talking the brand alot. I even asked a friend he said they aren't bad but I wouldn't protect my life with it.
>intruder breaks through a window at 2am
>I'm asleep but think it's just my mom breaking a glass (wtf)
>my mom gets up and goes into the hallway sees the guy and screams
>I get up and instinctively grab my Glock and run out my room
>see the situation and run infront of my mom screaming "GET OUT" whilst pointing the gun at the intruder
>he runs away out of the window he came from
>can't even remember if my gun was loaded or the safety was off or anything
>currently getting yelled at for keeping a gun in the house even though im 21...
>more depressed than usual
>>31985179
This just keeps happening, you should move.

Hold up!
I heard it took a whole team of surgeons to sew up the wound?
Where does the stereotype of the shotgun being the ideal HD weapon come from?
>>31984773
All those niggers killed by shotguns.
>>31984773
a couple of centuries of them being used for just that?
>>31984773
the fact that it functions as a very good HD weapon.
the meme of "lol nobuddy get scurr when someone racks a shotgat" thing started here though. most fuckers doing a B and E aren't looking for a confrontation just some easy money and will skedaddle at the slightest hint there will be trouble
In the UK, there's a long-running comic series called "Commando". Most of it focuses on WW2, but they do other conflicts sometimes, and it is jingoistic as fuck, even by /k/ standards.
Does [insert your country here] have anything similar?
One of the non-WW2 examples
I'll start

i really want a SVDM
The RPD
The year is 1913. You've been offered a job as a security guard for a private company's office in Hong Kong. As compensation for being relocated overseas, the company is willing to purchase any pistol you desire for you to use while on the job. They'll be able to get virtually any handgun available on the market, as long as it isn't obscenely expensive or rare.
What do you get?
Steyr-hahn
Big-bore revolver.
>>31983652
A glock, duh
Does it really happen as often as the movies say it does?

Depending on the army for sure, low discipline often leads to plenty of rape. Even then, when you're forced to march everywhere getting fucked by just about everyone the morality of rape tends to stop meaning anything.
I can't recall it being an enormous issue with NATO for awhile though.
>>31982664
It's the entire reason some people go to war. Usually lower quality armies.
>Rape of Nanking
>Rape of Berlin
>German rapes & abuse in the Russian campaign
Hello Washingtonians I need to know where some decent publicly maintained ranges are. I will help to keep it clean. If anyone can help me score some coordinates or an address possibly somewhere in monroe area that would be cool. Thanks fags.
>>31982641
Other WA fag here, also interested.
Bumping with some Washington beauty
>>31982641
Every WA fag hides their shooting areas so the masses of /k/ don't go fuck it up like a bunch of fudds and rednecks.
What's the risk level on bringing a cali-banned gun into california?

If you've got a lot of land, not much.

Bump because I've always wondered that too
Post Future Guns.
Or theory's on the future of small arms.
The next big breakthrough, will be the implementation of polymer cased ammo.
The proliferation of body armor, and military grade exoskeletons, will allow soldiers to carry more ammo, and to be covered with more plates.
10mm WILL replace 9mm, as 9mm lacks both penetration, and terminal effect.
The implementation of airburst Grenade Launchers, will dominate combat past 200M.
Urban/Space Station combat, will see that bullpup rifles become dominant.

I saw a video of pic related on youtube a few years back, I'll try and find it. The guy had managed to make a real firing Halo franchise assault rifle (assuming MA5B). I'm guessing he molded a frame around a 10-22 or something
>>31982153
Found it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcR85DdgFBU
probably a 10-22 inside

>10mm WILL replace 9mm
Which is why the FBI went 9 > 10 > 40 > 9
