Out of curiosity does a duty sized handgun really offer any sort of advantage over a compact sized handgun?
I mean, considering that you'll rarely use a handgun at ranges exceeding maybe 50 yards at most it doesn't seem like the minor loss in velocity would be all that detrimental.
>>31973178
Compact is easier to conceal. Full size will have less recoil you'll probably be more accurate.
>>31973178
Longer sight radius, faster follow up shots, and sometimes more capacity in a flush fit magazine.
Ruger failure related
>>31973178
The higher velocity in longer barrel means you can get more reliable expansion in regular pressure ammo, no +p needed, meaning less recoil and faster follow up
How do we do it /k/? Genetically engeneer them so we can ride into battle, fill them with TNT and catapult them at the enemy?
>>31972703
> ride into battle
Giant battle goats with Kevlar barding would be cool.
>fill them with TNT and catapult them at the enemy?
WTF would you do that? Goats are our friends.
>>31972703
>>31972703
>>31972756
well... its the most unpleasant really, but has been considered by us defense contractors. Attach compass/gps to goat, run electrodes from device to pleasure/pain pathways in brain. Pleasure when walking twords (insert your direction here) pain when walking anywhere else.
Add explosives.
Add trigger.

.223 and 9mm?
>>31972316
A lot.
The only reason to reload 9mm or .223 is if you're shooting competitively and want to control your own load.
>>31972316
you can reload 9mm for about $6/50rd box and 223 for $3.60/box. rifle cartridges are a bit of a pain to reload as you have to lube cases before resizing, tumble, then trim to length before reloading. Reloading 223 and 9mm will save you the least amount of money of any caliber out there but it's still half the price of factory brass case ammo.
plus reloading is a great hobby that allows you to shoot calibers you could never afford to shoot otherwise. I cast bullets for everything I shoot. 500 magnum $0.18/rd($2.50/rd factory), 300blk $0.07/rd($0.55/rd factory)

What makes a hollowpoint work or not? That one looks like it would deform but it expanded really well. I've also seen ones that look like they should work but didn't expand at all.

i love hk and i think this is a bad thread and you're a bad person op. have you learned nothing? love trumps hate.
So I don't know much about SMGs, but I'm wondering about the scope on Snake's signature weapon here.
Why is it mounted on the silencer, rather than on the body of the gun?
And why a rifle scope? Surely the MAC-10 would lose accuracy over a long distance since it's designed for semi- or full-auto fire.
Is this just a "looks cool" thing or is there actual gun logic that I'm unaware of at work here?
>>31971624
Looks cool. Also the cocking handle is on the top of the gun so you can't put the scope there.
This is the same movie where they removed the handguards from M16's to make them look more "futuristic."
>>31971624
They didn't have red dots or prism scopes back then, and they wanted something futuristic looking. That's all.
I've heard Trump might make some changes relating to Russian imports and stuff.
Being retarded I really know nothing about this, but need to know one thing: will this make it possible for me to buy an AK-12? I fucking need this meme gun and will do anything to get it.
>>31971598
Russia scrapped that version of the AK-12
The "new" AK-12 is basically a AK-74 with rails, a freefloating handguard and a different gas block
>>31971739
That's gay, the original one looked badass

Saw this Suprema 00buck on sale at wallmart for 9.95 / 25rds and picked up a few boxes, says its manufactured by tula. Anyone shot this before? The price seems pretty good for buck. It's only use will be for practice, I keep premium rounds in it for HD. Don't feel like paying a buck a round on my range days.
not sure but my mossman loves this cheap shit
>>31971563
Pretty much, Suprema doesn't have many problems with case sticking and if that isn't a problem in a shotgun it's fine. Might burn a little dirtier in the barrel but who gives a fuck, it's a shotgun.
Unless it's an auto, you might have problems then.
Great price, I'd pick up more if it works well with your gun.
>>31971595
I bought some of that at Academy a while back. Boy that shit was cheap and you could tell. I have never seen such thin plastic on a shotgun shell before. Worked fine in my 590A1 but I didn't chance it in my 930.

At least you tried. I mean how many vets get literally nothing?
How drunk were you? Maybe he understood you couldn't really articulate properly?
>>31971561
For OPs sake I'd really like to think that that's true but I think we both know that the veteran realized OP was a huge autismo incapable of conversation

Do you plan on getting shot?
That's a pretty weak plan 2bh family

Kill people. I've killed people.
How much Tritium is in a pair of night sights?
Not enough
A very tiny, yet expensive amount.
People install night sights and reach over and hit the lights "hmmm". Now turn the lights off and wait til your eyes adjust to the dark then look through them "holy fuck these are so bright i'm going to need sunglasses if someone breaks in!!"
Good evening gents, I have apparently deleted my stencil folder and haven't seen a /k/ related stencil Thread in awhile so let's have one

Man I never thought I'd see M855 go below .50 cents a round again, although I'd recommend people hold off on making any large purchases until a few months down the road when it becomes a buyer's market.
>>31973125
How long do you think it will be until prices start to drop. I'd imagine they'd have to now that the looming threat of "Obongo comin' fer yer guns!!" isn't available to gun sellers to inflate prices and create panic demand. I'd think its going to have to happen sooner or later especially with stuff thats jumped in cost like WASRs and whatnot.
Prices don't go down for guns. They only stabilize.
whats /k/'s experience with pic related. I like the aesthetics of it and just want a cheap fun gun to shoot that I could potentially fend off a home invader with. Thoughts?
Self bump because I need /k/s approval before I do anything
