Super easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and rub clean. NO SHIT. Take any color nail Polish and put a light coat over where you want it. Let dry then use NON acetone polish remover. Acetone will eat any finish you have. I know the nail Polish sounds like Bulls hit but there'should an actual video. I'll try to find it real quick and post it

You can also use Testors/Model Master/Tamiya/anyotherenamel and the eye of a needle to apply it into the trades with minimal clean-up. I also use Hoppe's to remove the excess as it's much faster than polish remover.

Aside from price and cosmetics...I was a glock guy and m&p fan. I was skeptical of xd's even though I never tried one. I trust my xd mod 2 with my life.
