ITT we stereotype owners of particular guns. I'll start.

Not a fan of TB. I also don't think a steriotypical Bong shooting WW1 guns counts as /k/, since he will probably turn to the camera at the end and say "Bin that knife, citizen." and not even realize he said it.

But why?
Britbong youtube faggots are the fucking worst
A 300kt nuclear device has just gone off in the city closest to you.
How fucked are you?
If you do survive, what's your next step?
Have you taken any precautions already?
Pic related is me.
I would avoid the terminal radiation and the air blast, but fallout is a different story
>How fucked are you
I would still be alive but gamma and beta rays might have different plans
>what's your next step
Honestly, no idea
>Have you taken and precautions
No. I have a winter coat, but that's about it
If the target is the little PoS 5000 people town i live in its gone with the blastwave for me.
However if it is the closest real city of any strategic or tactical importance i am good, way outside the radiation, blast and thermal zones.
Also i live in a heavy concrete apartment complex with a civil defense bunker in the basement, complete with overpressure protection and filtration system.

/k/ommandos. I always wanted night vision and just saw pic related on craigslist for $300.
The post says Gen 2 tubed Night Vision scope with 4x zoom. The only markings are on the lens cap which say butler creek.
I seached google and don't see this nv come up. Anyone one have info? I want to know if it's a good deal and if it isn't a total piece of shit.
Butler creek makes the lens caps, not the optic
>>32243983
It's gotten say something, somewhere, or they rubbed off the markings to pass it off as something else.
300 is like the price range for gen 1 scopes, so I'm sceptical already.

Yeah that's what I figured. Still trying to find this thing online...
Here's another view.
Short Version:
-Police Officer in Europe
-Travelling to LV on holiday starting tomorrow
-Looking to do some range shooting
-Recommendations on a good range
Long Version: I'm travelling over to Las Vegas for about 10 days on holiday starting tomorrow. I'm a UK police officer, and was previously a member of an NSRA club so did quite a bit of range/target shooting here but generally all lower calibres.
I'm looking to find a range that's suitable for tourists to attend and do some shooting under instruction. I'm non-US citizen, non-US resident, so that will probably prohibit me from quite a few.
I've had a look on Google and it's throwing up a few options, the main one of which being 'Battlefield Vegas'. Prices from most of them seem to be about the $150-200 mark to do about 100 rounds total shared between a few weapon systems (Glock/MP5/etc.) and they mostly all seem to be geared towards stag-parties/birthday sort of things where the tourist just wants to fire off an M4 on full-auto and hear banging sounds, with packages titled as "Black Ops Package", "SWAT Package"..
I'd like to try and do a bit of proper range shooting on some full-bore systems for a couple of hours. It's just me and my dad, and we're both pretty sensible people.
Can any redditors make recommendations on where I should be looking to do this sort of thing? Staying on the strip, so looking anywhere centralish. Going to try and do it on the 10th.
Picture semi-related (Met Police, my force).

>Can any redditors make recommendations

Oh, anon, Y U do this.
Anyway, I just looked up Vegas gun rental prices and holy shit are those expensive compared to where I live. Battlefield Vegas wants like $60 for a glock 17 rental + 40 rounds. The others I looked at were also terrible.
The only advice I can give is that maybe a /k/ommando (or plebbitor) would be willing to meet up and bring some guns to whatever range you decide on, and then you can offer to buy ammo so you both save money and have a long fun session.
I'd do it, but I live on the east coast. I set up a meeting with an aussie /k/ommando a few months ago who was visiting family in the states. We went shooting for a couple hours, was a cool dude and had fun. Neither one of us raped and/or murdered the other, so it was nice.
>>32243915
Go for it, its one of the few places to shoot newer full auto guns in the US.
Fyi if u were the guy who made the other thread, u should have just bumped it
>>32243915
Isnt there a place called "The Gun Store" that also does a bunch of full auto packages? You should check that out as well.
It's 1940 in the Reich, H. dies and you are the new Führer und Reichskanzler. Space aliens appear any gove you the coice between one of 3 futuristic superweapons to help you win the war:
>300 unit of MiG-21S with unlimited ammo and fuel (every plane that lands on a base can be refuel and reloaded without delays)
>400 units of T-64BV with unlimited ammo and fuel (every tank that returns to a base/suply station can be refuel and reloaded without delays)
>150 units of Tu-22M3 with unlimited ammo and fuel (every plane that lands on a base can be refuel and reloaded without delays)
Which one do you pick, why and and how do you use it in conjuction with your regular forces?

>Tu-22M3
Easy choice. Blitz would actually be successful. Go supersonic and laugh at all the fighters. No escort required except for landing and takeoff. Stack flak guns at strategic bomber airbase(s).
Moving from MI to NC soon, Charlotte area in particular. What can I expect for gun laws? In MI we have handgun registry and silly overall length laws (no folding AKs, SCARs, etc).
How good is NC?
pic unrelated
u have to have a permit to buy a pistol (ccw or ppp) otherwise it's unrestricted
I lived in charlotte for 2 years, live a little north towards kannapolis now
>>32243948
to buy a handgun from a dealer I need a PPP? MI makes the registry slip for you at the dealer when you buy it, why would NC be so backwards?
>>32243754
>Overall length
Wrong.
Who is it, /k/?
The Punisher.
JOE MOTHERFUCKING BIDEN

THE VP~
>>32243745
Billy the Kidd.
What did he do wrong /k/? Why didn't he manage to eliminate dozens of his enemies like his anime heroes? Also can anyone identify the knife he is using? Looks like a pretty shitty choice of knife to me.
>>32258147
>What did he do wrong /k/?
He brought two knives to a gun fight.
why does the kid in the back look like he is getting ready to jump him?
>>32258228
>why does the kid in the back look like he is getting ready to jump him?
They're Mexican's they're always jumping someone. It's in their DNA. Fucking and Fighting, it's who they are.
Hey, /k/, I love weapons!
>Implying you're not a weapon yourself.
Silly Nano.
Also, gb2 /ak/.
explain
Has anyone ever traded guns before?
What are the chances it ends up bad?
>>32243621
It is very likely. If I were you, I'd show up in your tactical vest, helmet and all of your other operator gear. Also have the weapon you're trading at low ready, loaded and safety off. Don't worry, the person you're meeting will understand. Stay safe anon.
>>32244601
So as long as I show up like a commando the chances of me leaving with a prolapsed butthole are slim?
>>32243621
>What are the chances it ends up bad?
What is the "it" in that sentence?
The gun? The situation? Are you worried that someone will use what was formerly your gun to commit a crime?
If you're going to make a thread then don't halfass it.
Game changing weapon, ender of PDW searches. Never reaches the market.
Also the Quad Stack magazine magpul has filed a patent for. Instead they make a drum. Come on this is Magpul these guys are geniuses they can make this work.
What the hell is wrong with these people?
>>32243565
>What the hell is wrong with these people?
Nothing, FN beat them to the punch.
>>32243565
Magpul penciled it out and realized that:
1. manufacturing licenses are expensive and come with a whole bunch of red tape
2. the above made it so prohibitively expensive that they could only really sell their SBR-spacegun if they got a .mil contract
Guess what didn't happen
>>32243565
I guess just because you're good at making metal things line up in a stack and move uniformly you aren't necessarily gonna be good at making a gun
wtf I love Hind now
What did you love BEFORE you loved Hind?
Hind was always in my heart.
WELL I THOUGHT LOVE WAS ONLY TRUE IN FAIRY TALES
is the mosin nagant easy to clean? i'm thinking to buy one when i'll get a gun permit
>>32243434
A gun permit?
>>32243434
Do you mean clean as in removing fouling/salts after firing it, or do you mean removing cosmoline from it?
If you mean the former, it's as simple as flushing it out with water to remove corrosive salts (assuming surplus ammo is used), and then Hoppe's and a boresnake to finish up.
Removing cosmoline is a fucking pain in the ass if you're not experienced. You have to fully disassemble the rifle and then clean each part.
>>32243441
States like NJ require you to have a permit before you're allowed to buy guns, even C&R eligible guns.
>>32243434
Watch a video on youtube of someone cleaning it. Watch videos of other guns being cleaned. Figure out if you think it's hard
These new cases are claimed to be lighter, stronger, and cheaper than traditional brass cases.

Can they be reloaded with standard equipment?
galvanic corrosion.
