I'm new to the world of shooting and I need somebody to explain to me why everybody buys ARs and customizes them with a bunch of aftermarket parts. Their all semi auto right? Why do so many people care about comparing and showing off their custom cucked version of a machine gun? Same goes for any other similar rifle.
>>32252025
see all them mini coopers?
see all that shit people put on em?
same concept

aftermarket parts? such as what?

Why does Kimber refuse to produce a quality product?
Are they just a bunch of cheap faggot jews who want money and care nothing about the people they sell to?
I would rather own a Jimenez, since at least that company is honest about being suck-ass.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go jerk off my Five-seveN.
I have no experience with Kimber, but I know lots of fudds who own them because

Modern, lightweight, affordable pistol with a 17 round capacity?
Nah, fuck that! I'll trust my life and the lives of those around me with a 2.5 pound chunk of rusty steel with only 8 rounds with a 106 year old design!
Hey /k/, I'm trying to find the smallest pocket pistol that still is able to maintain functionality for self-defense. Right now I've settled on the Seecamp LWS .380. Is this the best option given what I'm looking for?
Here's a video:

It is 9mm.

>guy says "yeah its for a flashlight that goes on my glock 1911"
>nearly crack up instantly
>spend rest of time interacting with him trying to not laugh
>wonder for the rest of the day what he actually had
Was he being serious? Was he joking? It's hard to tell sometimes.
Any other fellow retail slaves almost lose their shit when the customer spouts complete nonsense?

I work for Home Depot. One day I had a guy come in and ask about drills bits he could could use for going through metal. After asking some questions about his project, this guy was really dodgy with his answers. Basically he was trying to remove material from a lager block of metal but wouldn't give any other information on the project. With the way he was struggling to contain his spaghetti, I just straight up asked him if he was working on an 80% lower. I could tell he was both surprised and horrified that I had figured out what he was doing, but he calmed down a lot once I really started getting into the project. This was in MD a little after Sandy Hook, so I guess he was afraid of being seen as some sort o gun nut.
Dude was trying to finish his lower with nothing but a hand drill, no jig or anything. I advised his against his course of action and have him a list of items he would probably want to buy if he was serious about wanting to do the build properly and then sent him on his way.

>introduce them to gunbot.net and what to look for when choosing ammo
>they say thanks and I go home with my .22

Steel cased ammo won't hurt an ar. It's just going to be dirtier.
reminder that Glock = BTFO

I can only imagine how that went down at CZ headquarters.
>alright gentlemen we need to design a new handgun
>how about a 97 in 10mm?
>nah not enough market
>subcompact version of P-07?
>nah that craze is passing
>how about we actually meet demand for our existing models?
>hahahahaha... you're fired
>how about... we make a Glock?
>perfect! give this man a raise
>>32251778
Tbh if it has CZ quality and it's at a slightly lower price point than a Glock with how they're saying the trigger is, I'll totally buy the full-size version.
20 rounds of striker fired justice that fits my manlet hands, count me in.
>>32251570
as a CZ fan i hate this shit.
but everything is going polymer/striker
it's an obvious move to get military or cop contracts.
i'll stick to full size all metal guns.
America would have wrapped up the war already if the military wasn't so scared of throwing American lives away in assaults that is necessary in a "fast and dirty" campaign to end terrorism.
For a conflict that has lasted 15 years, America has very few deaths from such a long war. America can't seem to handle wars seriously.
That show was fucking amazing.
Holy shit i completely forgot about this show thanks Anon

Does it make sense to own a lot of guns?
>>32251248
Because I collect guns, yes it makes sense.
Does collecting guns make sense? Not totally, but not a lot in the world ever makes complete sense anyway.
>>32251248
For fun? Hells yeah.
For practically you want a gun to ammo ratio.
>>32251248
It makes more sense than collecting Fucking stamps.
What would an effective drug(s) to increase focus and lower fatigue? Aside from drugs that completely diminish your lifespan
They used to give aircraft pilots like, speed or something didn't they?
>>32251063
Modafinil, or a mix of other amphetamines. They probably had a specific brand supplies to the air force
>>32251063
Germans issued methamphetamines to keep them fighting for weeks straight. However it progressively fries your brain and puts a lot of stress on your heart.
These days warfare is really disorganized and hit-and-run guerilla style.
You think a sudden attack whose goal is to close the distance (with support) would negate a lot of the defenders advantages because the enemy would be right the fuck in your face. You can't call down an airstrike when the enemy is right on top of you, well... you can I guess..
It would take dedicated and disciplined soldiers, suicidal even. But I imagine that trying to close the gap with reckless abandoned might be a good monkey-wrench to enemies used to plinking from a distance and calling down artillery to do everything.
But only in conjunction with more conventional forces because otherwise its just a Leroy Jenkins gambit.
The Japs did it wrong by having everybody just zerg rush, the WW2 Chinese did it right by having guys with freaking spears and swords charge in from one direction while other Chinese guys did the shooting. (due to the lack of guns on the Chinese side, you see).
The united States relies heavily with calling down strikes and plinking from a distance, I feel like this over-reliance on fire-power is a weakness. The British at least still have bayonets.
The biggest problem would be negating the automatic weapons of the defending unit. In most modern armies there are up to 9 automatic weapons per platoon specifically trained to stop such attacks

>You can't call down an airstrike when the enemy is right on top of you

A shield on weals? Like a steal pavise? Maybe with its own machine gun mounted on it?
Has anyone here ever fired a Krag Jorgensen rifle?
I recently discovered it, and found out it is Norwegian. Norway being the noguns country it is, this surprised me, and as far as i can tell its the only gun that made it past the prototype phase. I know it was adopted by the US Army as the first smokeless powder rifle, so thats pretty cool.
How does it handle by modern standards?
>>32250671
>Norway being the noguns country it is, this surprised me,
Dude, this gun was like, from mad long ago
>>32250779
Obviously.
Your point?
>>32250671
Norway isn't noguns. we can own pistols, shotguns, rifles, including AR-15s. however there are are varying grades of education and participation in shooting clubs required for different weapons. Norway Has produced numerous hand weapons on license, and Norwegian Companies own several gun and ammunition patents, including Multi Purpose 50cal, and m72. although it has shifted its focus more to high tech munitions, Norway has been very active in production and development of weapons, and munitions considering its small size.
Can any of you /k/ulists drop a seed for the full dokument

Roosevelt intentionally provoked the Japs by trying to cut off their oil supplies from Indonesia.
Getting this in early.
I just bought this pair of Czech combat boots and they're a bit rough and the leather is stiff as shit. What are the ins and outs of boot repair, /k/?
kiwi boot polish spit and shine .
You got what you payed for
>>32250439
Will that do anything to soften the leather? It's definitely great leather but it's just been in storage a while.
>>32250405
Get some Obenauf's boot OIL, not the paste, and a hair dryer on the low setting. Elbow grease is the only way.
So I've recently gotten infinite warfare and it really turned me on to the idea of custom gun paint jobs, and after my grandpa passed away I got his luger and his gewer 88 and decided to trick them out.
