Who here is from Illinois?
Where in Illinois? Any good places to go shooting?
I hear Chicago is the place for shooting.
>>32234674
Pretentious north suburbs here. Fuck these local laws.
Me, Chicago suburbs, Wisconsin
Any hunters here?
Weird question, but can you skin a human like an animal? Is it just as hard or harder than with an animal?
Yes.
>>32234521
This ain't really the place for that kind of question son.
Bolton pls go.
If I wanted to make a hollow point 54r, could I simply drill a hole in the bullet with a lathe?
>>32234498
I guess so. Try it out and report back.
>>32234498
You can but you run the risk of the bullet trying to expand in the barrel and destroying your gun and maiming you. Also it probably wont be that effective on game.
>>32234498
Isn't that a trick American's used with FMJ 5.56 in Vietnam? Just drill out the tip to nigger rig some hollow points together?
/k/, how are modern armoured vehicles supposed to be resistant against top attack threats, such as TOW (forming an EFP) and Javeline (dual shaped charge) missiles?
Modern tank armour is capable of defeating all chemical energy weapons (HEAT & HESH) from the frontal arc, but the armour on the roof must be very limited due to the realities of having to allow the crew access up top, mustn't it?
How is this problem remedied?
Perhaps the slightly austistic idea of putting an exterior roof over the tank to act as spaced armour?
>>32234451
>How is this problem remedied?
active protection systems. they are basically lauching frag grenades at the incoming warhead.
>>32234476
i read some tow missiles fire dummy rounds first to get through the active protection and then the real round punches through the tank

Just putting this out there...
... are there any Ameri/k/ans here who would be willing to ship parts like these to europoors?
>>32234441
Yea, can you get the non receiver components?
>>32234441
FBI get out
>>32234460
no. but I'm curious if people here would be willing to supply parts to us over here. If there are, I guess the jump from frame to slide and barrel wouldn't be too big. Also, I'm curious about how hese Glocks are compared to the original - they don't look half bad.

Hey, K. I been recently seeking a personal side arm for my car. The thing is i am not to sure about what i should be looking for? I am really keen on getting a small type crossbow that can be put in my glove compartment. So what should i be looking for for a top notch mini crossbow? I am looking for something that can easily be fired with one hand, but something that packs enough punch to penetrate a few layers of rubber. Any help is much obliged.
>>32234005
A gun.
>>32234005
Holy fuck just buy a cheap shotgun, its cheaper and works better.
Also:
>be Canadian
>one handed crossbows a prohibited weapon
>totally cool to have an 8 inch barrel shotgun in your car all the time
Im not complaining so much as just confused
Just purchased my first gun last year, a glock 19. I purchased it for home defense, but I've had so much fun shooting it, I'm looking to purchase something new.
What would you guys recommend? Shotgun, rifle, another handgun? I'd like to use it for home defense, but for shooting at the range as well.
>>32233994
Scattergat you like the looks of in 12.
>>32234012
Any recommendations?
shotguns are super fun to shoot
What happens if you bring a knife to a gunfight?
>>32233958
well you might not be a part of the fight and just are watching on the sidelines some maybe nothing
>>32233958
You get shot.
>>32233958
it would be very painful...
Discuss.

He's an idiot that believes only his environment is the one everyone lives in. He also doesn't believe in "troubleshooting for gun companies" by not telling them what the fuck is wrong with his gun.
Nevertheless, he does tell his honest opinion on products.
Only youtuber that ACTUALLY reviews guns instead of taking eight shots on camera and saying it's "pretty good" or "a solid gun"
>>32233793
He's rather arrogant, but I can agree with the preaching he does about the weight of equipment. He is also really out of touch it seems when it comes to utilitarian use of just about anything.
I'm sure you guys get this post all the time, so for that I apologize. Anyway, I'm a total scrub when it comes to guns; the most I know if the difference between a magazine and a clip, but that's about it.
Where, if /k/ doesn't want to spend time spoonfeeding me, can I acquire basic gun knowledge? Furthermore, what's a good beginner's gun?
>>32233714
Your preferred search engine of choice, otherwise murdercube.com has everything you need to know about /k/ including various easy to read beginners guides.
>>32233714
Age? State of residence? purpose of guns, like target practice or home defense?
>>32233714
The internet. YouTube. Go to a funstore and fingerfuck the ones you like that are in the price you're willing to pay. You could get a Mak for $300 and it can also serve as your CCW. If you're under 21 get a Mossman 500 or Remington 870 at your local pawnshop. Then customize it as you please.
Are they a meme? Looking at them because I want a semiauto carbine and I'm not terribly interested in ARs. Does anyone here have them?
>>32233667
I have a 556r 7.62x39. Good rifle
Fucking snowflakes
I was like you once. Now I'm building an AR.
>>32233844
Are they worth 3000 Canada dollars?
What is Anon's opinion on Grand Power K100?
Mechanically it's quite interesting, I am not sure about reliability.
Anyone owns it?
K100 with serial number 776 managed to fire 112 470 without any malfunctions and the model is currently displayed to public.
>>32233728
So it's apparently more durable and reliable than an HK...
>>32233582
I want one. Mostly because of the novelty.
okay guys, so even for a liberal, I have a strong passion for firearms. That being said, I have no idea the process for buying one. (licenses, registration etc). Whenever I go out to the range, or deep in the desert to shoot its usually with a friends collection. And hes mostly done private sales, with some sort of bill of sale, thats about it as far as legality.
being 21 now, Id like to get a handgun, and Bolt action surplus rifle, probably a mosin to kick off the collection.
Things here in Arizona ive heard a little more relaxed then other states. anyone care to offer some insight?
>>32233515
No mosin.
>unironically buying a meme rifle
Purely hypothetical question with a genuine desire to understand the feasibility of using a personal shield in modern warfare.
In this instance, let's say some entrepreneurial Doc Brown creates a personal shield that nullifies the kinetic energy of any physical object moving at high velocity and that this device only works at infantry level (scaling up for armor and aircraft causes the shield to collapse). Only deliberate "slower" weapons (knives, swords, spears)) will penetrate it; albeit there will be "drag" with each strike.
The device, while expensive per unit could be incorporated into a modern military within 3-5 years. A modern power could find a way to counter the shield (specialized rounds, new training methods/strategy, or new weapons) but assume it will take roughly the same amount of time 3-5 years from the time the technology is adopted on such a scale to warrant such research.
Assume that the personal shield can take anything but the heaviest ordinance (tank rounds, missiles). For nerd rage sake, lasers do not cause atomic explosions when they strike the shield but will penetrate it instead.
How would warfare change?
>>32233444
War. War never changes.
>>32233444
No. We've had an influx of this retarded question. Then some anon said it was on new COD is why kids keep asking.
You're retarded and underage. Go away.
The slow blade penetrates the shield.
