Give zero fucks about political correctness or the nations the Certels reside in. Start bombing them. If Mexico complains about the odd muss here abd there killing 47 people ( who all live in one house), whatever.

Grey can be pretty cool. White on some guns as well. Also bakelite including green and plum variants.
post your guns op
Alright /k/, here's the situation. I bought pic related around three years ago for self-defense. I live in a city infested with criminals and drug addicts. My area is a particularly bad one, and imposing white guys around here are a distinct and hated minority. I also rely heavily on public transportation, which anyone who lives in an American city can tell you is always nerve-wracking and occasionally harrowing.
Anyway, when I bought this gun I was looking for something sturdy with stopping power that you can pocket carry, and this came highly recommended (Charter Arms .44 Bulldog was first choice, but whatever).
Anyway, I was cleaning it for the first time in a while after nearly having to use it the other day and I noticed that the hammer doesn't stay cocked. Once you pull it back, it just drops. I was looking for the box for any warranty information or gunsmithing (?) instructions, but I can't find the shit anywhere.
So does anyone know how to fix this? Is it something simple, or would I need to send it back to Taurus to repair? Would they even fix it or would they just tell me to go fuck myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm also acutely aware of the myriad poor decisions that have led me to my current unfortunate station in life, so if you just want to pile on about it blow me. Just need help; please and thank you.
>>32250026
Taurus has a lifetime free repair guarantee. it would be the best option.
Chances are the sear is warn down too much or the hammer cutout rounded off.
>>32250026
Is that rust?
You could always saw off the hammer and make it a double action only, or take it to a gunsmith if thats your thing.
Stay safe OP

Officers should be prior enlisted. Holy fuck this is sad.
Every time I use these sites I have a terrible experience
What is it that makes them so bad?
The cross section of gun owners and people who know how to get past "The Google" is a bad place for bad people. See /k/ for example.

If it's anything like me and my friend who talk about trading, everyone over values their gun.
>>32249843
Well, buying and selling guns in person isn't usually all that great either.
Is there any new firearm innovations anymore when it comes to handguns?
I feel like I haven't heard of anything new in the way a firearm works in quite a while. Just new models every year of basically the same product line.
>>32249796
No, and there likely won't be in your lifetime.
about a year or two ago, some company made a roller lock 1911.
thought it was kinda cool, but cost somewhere around 5k
>>32249796
I don't own a judge. But a gun that fires boolets and slugs sounds like something relatively new.
I require a handgun for self-defense at home, and one for when I go camping. Currently in the process of attaining my CHL.
I want to buy one or two guns and be set.
polymer/steel/expensive/inexpensive, etc. I don't care.
What should I buy?
I like to buy things for life.
That is my only requirement; given maintenance and reasonable care, I want this handgun(s) to be "my baby" for life.
Please advise.
>>32249761
>I require a handgun
It's okay just to say "want"
>>32249761
1911. Ruger and Colt make decent examples, but the triggers are too heavy. Magnum Research makes one with a better trigger, but mine had a bad slide stop that needed to be replaced. Avoid series 80 1911s.
>>32249761
Glock 22 gen 1.
Redpill me on this handgun /k/, is it worth a purchase? It wouldn't be my only handfun
I couldn't justify buying one.
Don't get me wrong, they seem like nice guns, and I wouldn't question their build quality.
The problem is that the 5.7 rounds whole selling point is armor piercing, which you cant do with civilian ammo. So its main selling point is rendered moot. When you consider the price, you can get a more practical gun for less.
But if you just want one because you think they are cool, go for it. Like I said, they aren't bad guns.
>>32249748
This. I was going to say "yes" until I saw the caliber in the filename
It isn't. As the other poster said, you can't buy the ammo that makes it special as a civilian, which leaves you with an extremely expensive niche polymer gun that shoots expensive ammo with subpar wounding ballistics.
If this still doesn't convince you, consider opportunity cost. By spending $1000 dollars on a FiveSeven, you're giving up the opportunity to buy other, potentially more useful guns that might be as fun or more fun to own.
Can we get a boot thread /k/? I currently own a pair of Merrells for innawoods activities, but the wife is looking to get me a pair that can be worn out as well. Are there any brands/models you all would recommend that are comfortable yet /fa/shionable?
Also, general boot thread.
Life is good

I wear pic related. They're repro US roughout boots. They take a long time to break in, but are very nice quality, tough, and are pretty /fa/. Your SO would approve.

Is the vepr like pic related a special snowflake rifle?
How many parts does it share with a regular AK?
In a hypothetical scenario where this vepr needs replacement parts(not conversion parts to make it look like a traditional AK), can you use aftermarket AK parts?
>>32249116
chambered in the common AK calibers of course.
>>32249116
Is it a snowflake in 7.62x54?
>>32249116
>Is the vepr like pic related a special snowflake rifle?
No. It's literally a Russian AK, with heavier barrel and receiver like those in RPKs. Many parts are similar or directly compatible.
The slant-cut back of the receiver is the biggest difference here, but there's an adapter.
All in all, VEPRs are top-tier AK rifles. I love my .308 Win one.
I was just asked by a Korean, a fucking foreigner, if I ever carried a rifle on my back in a supermarket in Texas. I don't even live in Texas. How funny is that? Even gooks heard about this!
