First of all, if I could legally own, let alone, carry a real firearm, believe me, I would.
However, where I live in Europe I only have 3 (legal) options for self defense: a knife with a blade no longer than 8cm (rughly 3 inches), pepper spray, or a gun with rubber bullets.
No tazers, no batons, no knuckle guards, and of course, no guns.
I'd like to hear the opinios of those who actually owned one.
I already have a pepper spray, but that can't be used in wind or rain. I want to know whether supplementing it with a rubber bullet gun is a good idea. Are they painful enough to actually stop an average attacker?
Pic is a Hungarian made "Pitbull" firing 12mm rubber bullets with 9mm blank rounds at 50~60 Joule.
where do you live?

I don't think that they would incapacitate a determined attacker. It would hurt, but would it stop them? Maybe someone who has been shot with rubber bullets for training can weigh in
Wouldn't it be cool if Americans and Russians bought shit from each other like in late 19th/early 20th century?
>>32345462
Why would you do that goy?
>>32345462
i dunno i kinda like ebay.
>>32345462
Wouldn't it be cool if someone invented a time machine and saved the Russian Empire/Republic?
They were pretty bro tier with America.

>An additional aircraft carrier. The Navy should be present in three major theaters (Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific) and a fleet of 11 aircraft carriers is insufficient to meet those demands. That the Navy currently only has 10 carriers (due to a waiver the Congress granted to its legal requirement for 11 while the USS Gerald Ford (CVN 78) is constructed), further exacerbates the problem.
Are you ready for another CSG, /k/?

Dirty casual here.
Do our attack subs have any cruise missile capability if modified enough?
>>32345572
I thought they converted a few Ohio Class subs to carrying a shit load of Tomahawks myself. How are they not SSGNs?
Why does /k/ soil themselves and start autistically screeching whenever someone CC's with a duster or trench coat?
/k/ is very fashion conscious.

For some reason soldiers doing stuff to their guns in the wild is fucking cool to me.

Anyone got stories on how guns saved their lives?
>>32345029
>want to kms
>dont want guns to get a bad stigma
>im still here
>whenever I feel depressed and want to kill myself I go shooting and the feeling goes away
Guns are why I'm alive
I couldn't even tell you why they make me feel so good, they're like antidepressants or something
Was out on a bird hunt, pack of coyotes sniffed out the dead bobwhites in my vest. My low-brass birdshot didn't do shit to them but run them off, but still counts.
If you put a silencer on a gun, does it affect the range of the bullet?
Pistols, not really. Rifles, it depends. With suppressors you get some increase in pressure as the bullet goes through the can, which will increase the velocity slightly. I'm more concerned with POI shift due to the increased velocity than effective range when I put a can on to be honest.
>>32344924
It generally increases the velocity of the bullet. At distances of 400m and beyond, and with highly accurate rifles, you will see less bullet drop and greater effective range
Inside of 300-400yds, and certainly with a handgun like pictured, you're probably not going to see much difference
>>32344924
Short answer is not really.
It can effect your POI
On longer range guns(rifles) you may need a special silencer that locks on to the barrel further down so as to not put so much weight off the front.

Going shopping today for some insulated boots. Any operator recommendations that's less than $150?
>>32344873

no
Rockys with goretex since you're a poorfag, Georgia boot also has some good options.
Basically, goretex is the answer
>>32344992
Those look pretty good. Thanks, anon.
Not my money. My mom wanted to get me a pair of boots for the winter for Christmas. Don't want to break her bank, since she doesn't have much
F35 is fucking amazing. Can you retards admit you were wrong now?

What does /k/ think about 300 BLK? Would it be viable as a SHTF round?
>>32344676
It would be a shitty shtf round. .556 would be way better for like 5 reasons

For performance comparable to 7.62x39 but less available id say no. Unless you really like running an AR platform and have an ample stockpile
