Go to gym and do shoulders.
Go to range; can't shoot for shit and even more to the left that usual.
>All I feel is rage.
>>32344766
Those are not bad groups at all.
>>32344766
That's what happens when you buy 10 memeter
>>32344766
Useless picture without knowing shooting distance.
>>32344813
I did much worse with my 9mm.
Couldn't lock my arm, shoulder out with it shaking.
I've been trying to stop shooting left for a year now. Even spent $100 on an instructor that seemed to help but I was right back to shooting left today. Tried to do everything he said.
>>32344825
7 yards.
Sorry, I pretty much always shoot 7 yards.
These are also at 7 yards.
>>32344966
This is the best group I've gotten.
>looking at this thread
>95% of the time I shoot 25 yards
>can barely hit the target most times.
>>32344984
You do know, a lot of people use bench rests to get those penny sized groups with their handguns right? That's a pretty alright group for 7 yards, not to mention, you don't even have a gun that's known for extreme accuracy, you're not shooting a competition gun tuned for extreme accuracy is what I am trying to say.
For a combat handgun that is pretty good, in reality you'll just mag dump most likely.
>>32344766
>was about to buy a bow and start practicing archery skills in a week
>break a rib
Oh well guess I'm sticking with guns for now. Oh yeah except I can't even shoulder a fucking rifle.
>>32345600
That sucks dude. I'm sorry to hear that.
I am a people person with empathy.
I always shoot my HD and CC pistols a little left as well.
Target pistols and rifles are easier for me to be accurate with, and so the problem isn't as bad with those.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest though. If I ever need to use my HD or CC when it matters, i'm probably just gonna mag dump anyway.
I practice mag dumping at 10 yards all the fucking time. Can consistently empty my P320 and USP9 into a grapefruit sized group, an inch left of my point of aim. Considering 10 yards is pretty far away for self defense, I'm totally ok with it.
It's a shit load of fun, too.
Oh lord.
Step into this thread, so much derp.
>10mm 1911's
>working out shoulders to improve your shooting????
>>32347416
Then this shit. That target
is
only
for
one
handed
shooting
and this is assuming you have perfect sight allignment.
stop
fucking
doing
this

>working out shoulders to improve your shooting????
I'm trying to lose weight. I'm not /fit/. What I did was pic related, putting emphasis on my arms because it seemed like a good upperbody work out but now I'm sore as fuck. I can show you on the doll where I'm sore if you like.
>>32344766
You're a more than passable shooter. Quit bitching.
Also:
>not doing shoulders in a block session with triceps
>>32347503
That's more anterior deltoid and upper pectoral.
>>32344766
Those are decent groups OP, all things considered.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTNa-8qRGXo
Uploaded this for my dad, hence unlisted, but I've tried sinking more finger on the trigger and (disclaimer: for me at least) works as advertised.
>>32347733
Okay, I'm sore in my anterior deltoid and upper pectoral. Thank you for correcting the record. Regardless, it was really screwing my ability to shoot and I can't stop shooting left.
So far I've:
>used less trigger finger
>lowered the support hand grip
>worked on stance
>started locking arm out
>payed attention to stance
I don't know. It's frustrating when you can't just move the group over an inch.
>>32347765
Were you shooting left before being sore?
>>32347765
I wasn't being a dick, I'm helping you. If you're gonna do this, ya need to know.
>>32347789
Yes, the OP weren't my worst groups from today just the first 3. After that I stopped taking picture. It was like I couldn't hold the gun steady at all, the front sight was bobbing up and down. Regardless I'm to the left pretty much always.
>>32347813
Thanks. Actually thanks to everyone.
>>32347789
This is resting hands on the bench.
>>32347765
I don't know if you've tried this or not but I have a tendency to shoot left as well and I noticed once I started gripping harder with my left hand it fixed my problem. This guy covers what I mean:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx8C0W6jgxg
Once I watched this I realized my left hand's grip was pretty weak on the gun and once I started paying more attention to it my groups shifted.
>>32347859
Thank you for the video. I'm left handed but can try varying load between hands.
>>32344966
Pussy ass distance
Come back when you're hitting those groupings at 15-20ft. You utter queer, boi
>>32347833
It's no problem, man. I'm glad you're hitting the gym. And you're a fine shot. It takes a lot of musculoskeletal fatigue to greatly reduce accuracy.
>>32347963
>7 yards
>21 feet
>come back when you can shoot that at 15-20 feet
I'm not him, but you're an idiot.
>>32347963
Subtle bait is subtle.
>>32344833
I had the same issue, buy snap caps, get 6 or more. Load them into your mags, load 4 snap caps, and 4 regular4 rounds w/o looking and while singing to yourself so you dont know what order theyre in.
Then take 2 live rounds and load them in without looking at the mag, in total 10 "bullets" are in, and 4 are duds, now you know the first 2 are real, and youll probably jerk on those, but after thise concentrate on letting the trigger suprise you.
It will be infuriating at first, but after a few mags you'll catch yourself getting better.
I had the same problem and now take my glock 19 out to 20 yards and score center mass sized groupings no problem.
>~8" groupings
>>32348056
That's a really good idea.
>>32344766
I sent the first package Giovanni
Man I want a Delta Elite so bad, fucking California...
>>32350891
Well, if it makes you feel better they're not +p rated and they're really too long for IWB carry.
>>32350978
Aren't all 10mm 1911 not rated for +P?
>>32344766
I started shooting at 16 and I started lifting at 23. I noticed that when I came back to shooting after lifting for a while I was WAY better especially at shooting rifle and absorbing recoil.
>>32348056
>snap caps
Is your gun from before the 1940s?
>>32347438
You also forgot
>7 yard groups
>>32352742
That too. As a matter of fact, throw in the lack of a shot timer.
>shooting itty bitty groups with your 10mm 1911 and worrying because your shots are landing 0.5 inches to the left and complaining about your shoulders being sore after working out
This is too funny in my mind
>>32347438
So isn't there one for using two hands?
>>32353139
No. Your second hand plays too much of a factor to really diagnose your shooting. If there were, it would be as accurate as a rifle shooting diagnosis chart, see where I'm going with this?
Best bet is to attend a class with a credible shooting instructor that can effectively diagnose what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong.
>>32352751
What's the point of moving on to shot timers and such before you can punch the center?
