The most tacticool thing in the 90's. Carbon fiber free float tubes by KAC and PRI sorta nigger rigged on to colt 727's and early M4's. All they had to do was make a cut out for the fsp, but according to an arfcomer who built one, fitting them is a pain in the ass.

well i went over because i wanted to fight isis and help the kurds, and got back after the al-hassakah offensives were finished in july. had a few dozen smaller skirmishes and one full grown battle at the end of june, got lucky and survived but lost all my stuff as those jihadi rats burned it when they overran our position and we had to retreat. got back home with basically nothing but a shirt, pants and my cellphone. uploaded all my pictures on here, told some stories, and asked if some fol/k/s could help me out to at least buy a new laptop. after 6 hours of posting i received like 900$ and bought a new laptop and took my gf out for dinner. i lived happily ever after and enjoyed video games and my gf. glory to /k/.

yup. back then i just messaged them on facebook, took a flight to northern iraq, got picked up at the airpot and taken to a pkk camp in the mountains, and after 2 weeks of waiting they smuggled us over the border at night. in syria, we received 8 days of basic training and were taken to the frontlines. at that point that was near tell temir.
i know there's 1 /k/ommando over there right now, he might be able to tell you how they recruit volunteers these days. i heard there's been a lot of changes.

>>32346846

Probably where they get all their shit from, Turkey. Everytime we took over isis positions you could find all kinds of shit from there, bandages, meds and other medical supplies, ammo, turkish made LAWs, their food and hygiene shit came from turkey, even their fucking winter jackets were Turkish army ones. They wore those weird isis made jihadi traditional BDUs, but for those cold jihad nights they had Turkish army jackets. When we took Tall Abyad at the Turkish border on June 16th, the few that didn't stay to go to paradise just packed their bags and crossed the border to Turkey. They were mocking us together with the border guards, they didn't even change their fucking clothes. Our commanders urged everyone never to shoot over the border, but that shit was just fucking insane.
>>
>>32347783
Feels good actually, if it's for the right reasons. I know i'm being watched and shit, but who the fuck cares. I got nothing to hide actually, and no sane judge would ever sentence me to anything because i went to syria to fight fucking ISIS. It's not like i ever planned to become a cop or something.

well i'm kinda busy, i'll start a thread this weekend. but as you donated 5$ i'll give you the short story of Abu Ali, not only the shortest but also one of the most amusing stories i brought from Mesopotamia.

>may 2015, first days of the Al-Hassakah offensives
>broad offensive to push ISIS out of the Al-Hassakah province, towards the Abdul Azziz mountains
>2nd week at the frontlines, in a small Assyrian village infront of Tel Temir
>next ISIS position is approx just 250m from us, across a field in the next village
>a few days before our final attack on their village
>heavy air support from coalition jets during the day, AC130s at night
>bombing the shit out of the ISIS villages left and right of us, we're watching the firestorms during guard at night
>at this point, the guys over there were basically under siege, every vehicle bigger than a motorcycle coming towards them or leaving their position gets bombed
>ISIS is using bikes to get supplies, hoping that Obama doesn't waste tax money by bombing those
>dark night, no power anywhere
>be me
>on guard on a roof, with 2 Kurds, our unit's PKM and a radio
>hear loud noise coming from a scooter or something
>machine gunner pretty skilled, and lucky
>fires like 15 rounds towards the loud noise
>hear something crash
>hear Jihadis speaking on the radio, easily to listen to them via radio scanner
>"They shot at Abu Ali's bike"
>10 minutes later
>"I think Abu Ali is with god now"

Fucking slapstick, but a militia war between Kurds and Arabs turned out to be that sometimes.
>>
>>32348061
thanks dude. In part from you I was inspired to aim for a Homeland Security degree, aimed to go federal
>>
>>32348061
found a picture from our days in that village, it's from one of our forward defence positions infront of it. the smoke comes from an attack by coalition jets during the day, they dropped something for them a few times every day. you can also see a church, it's an Assyrian Christian village. What really surprised me was how many of them actually survived being bombed in that small village for days, when we attacked there still was heavy resistance.

My Rhodesian Hi Power has hand made parts. At some point in the pistols life the slide stop broke, and was quickly replaced.

In addition, the original barrel had been replaced with a modified FEG barrel.

The shit the Rhodesians did with their FALs is of course legendary.

Here's a Rhodie FAL muzzle brake that was made rather crudely during war time. The brake supposedly reduced recoil by a substantial amount.

An extended slotting capacitor, what else?

As I recall, it was made by a troopie who lost an arm (not sure which) so he could still shoot it. Not really sure how its supposed to work or help as he'd have to have is arm like 3 feet from his shoulder.

If it aint broke dont fix it.

Probably because they cant afford anything to replace it. Based on the pictures I've seen of Brazillian military police it seems like they are really strapped for cash and use a strange and varied hodgepodge of gear.

Right after posting >>32352876 I realize he might've lost some fingers or dexterity on his dominant hand and added the trigger connector to use with his weak hand while still supporting the rifle with both hands

Basically, most war time modifications become products sold in stores now.

Back in the day soecial forces guys had stuff like wooden vertical grips carved and bolted on M14's out by the base or ship's craftsmen.

Custom slings made by tailors is what made Travis Haley.

The mod H took away the swan sleeve, added a 16 inch noveske barrel, and usually had a 1-6. The one pictured is the original mod 0 Mk12. You occasionally would see them with collapsible SOPMOD stocks.

YPG, the Kurdish people's defence forces in the north. It's quite simple to join and get there, and your work will be really usefull. i've seen a lot of young and good people die from blood loss that could have been easily prevented. if you know how to use a tourniquet and bandages, you'd be gold for the fight against isis. most fellas over there don't care about that.
there's a western volunteer founded combat medic unit now, the tactical medical unit. it's lead by an old british turtle who got his first combat experience from shooting bootless argies on the falklands. i bet he'd love you to join his team, look for the tmu on facebook.

the fighting won't stop for a long time, don't worry about that

how?so you are saying they just retreated with their guns and border guard just took them in ? i know there are connections between turkey and isis like pkk and ypg in terms of supplies but its not in that insane level. My cousin operated on a logistics convoy a year ago and he talked about how isis would always keep them on their toes over the border.

I think he might be. We had a guy in Holland who fought against ISIS instead of him getting a medal he was arrested for fighting for a foreign power.
>>
>>32363246
he was arrested and charged after he admitted he had killed people in an interview, they had to do that. it's just how law works, and i'm glad we're living in that part of the world where it works this way. i'm also glad he got released, but they had to arrest him and check it first. like posted in this thread before, no sane judge would ever sentence anyone for fighting isis.
