So i happen to be in an interesting situation. I have a CNC machine shop falling into my ownership along with my brother. It has 10 milling machines and 6 turning machines. I've dabbled in the idea of building firearms parts on the side. For fun mainly, then see where to go from there. We build aerospace parts for rockets and stuff, i figured, how bad could firearm parts be.
I wanted to start with supressors. So from what I understand, you can file a form 1 to build a suppressor yourself. Do I need to file a form 1 and pay the $200 tax stamp before I even attempt to make one? It'd suck for it to fall apart and then waste $200.
Thoughts?
>>32339265
to e-file a form when you first need to set up a legal Trust. Right now the e-file Form 1 is down because of ATF 41f, only paper form ones can be submitted right now. If you're looking to make and sell suppressors and short barreled rifles and all that good stuff you're going to need the correct FFL, SOT, and pay ITAR.

I don';t think i'd be going commercial. This would all just be for me. and other people.
>>32339507
If you go commercial make lower recivers. Spikes and areo are not even taking back orders right now they are so behind on production.
Make a cool logo, have something better than bullet pictogram or safe/fire, and enjoy back orders for the forseable future.
Hi guys
I recently applied for my pistol permit. I don't plan on carrying, I just like shooting pop cans off stumps on my buddy's land
I know exactly what I'm getting into. I know they jam and fail-to-feed like crazy. I don't get scared when I have to clear said jams I just like "cheap gun" aesthetics and the price point of these cheap pistols.
My question is though: what are the best of the Saturday Night Special guns? what are the worst of the worst?
>>32337351
>>32337351
the real problem is having them explode
>"save your money and buy a used gun anon"
>everyone prices their guns as if they were brand new
>nobody accepts offers or haggles at all
>some even price their used gun more than you can get a new one for
You have to watch like a hawk if it's classifieds. Gunbroker is a bit better.
get off armslist
>>32337368
>>32337383
>"Gunbroker is a bit better."
>"get off armslist"
>go to gunbroker
>find something worth owning
>67 bids later
>the item sells for more than it was worth anyway
>go to gunbroker
>find something worth owning
>seller has a reserve price that is more than you'd ever pay in the first place
>their buy-it-now price is even more ridiculous
>go to completed listings
>this seller has relisted this exact item for the past ten months because they're overpricing their item and nobody on the planet has been dumb enough to pay what they're asking
So I have an assignment for a course where I need to research and analyze movies filmed from 1950-1990 depicting life in the communist nations. They have to be filmed in the soviet countries and cannot have bias. Ive spent forever searching and have found a couple like The Cranes are Flying and Ballod of a Soldier (this one was recommended by the instructor). Does anyone know any good unbiased movies i could use? If so, which ones?
To keep this /k/ related, what was your favorite soviet rifle?
Bump for help with more /k/
>>32337315
Mission to Moscow is the only film I am aware of that shows this but it is blatant pro-Stalin propaganda so just be aware of that. You could talk about the film and discuss how it was deliberately designed to make Stalin look good because it was produced during WW2 and the government wanted Americans to see the Soviets as allies during that time. When the war ended, the film became a black mark on the career of everybody involved.
>They have to be filmed in the soviet countries and cannot have bias.
Huh, that disqualifies this entire post. Should have read that sooner. However, I don't feel like deleting what I wrote.
The stalker film seems like a good bet.
Could this be used as a solution for long term firearms storage? For example, include silica gel to absorb all the humidity, then vacuum seal it and bury it underground. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.
>>32337212
hang it from hangers within your drycleaning
>>32337212
I would rather leave it vacuum packed and coated in grease
Looking at other guns on the internet, these seem unique. What are they? What do they do?
Those are underbarrel buffers. If you use both barrels without them the barrel splits like a banana.
>>32337476
But it's not on the barrel. It's on the ammo tube.
>>32337744
The second barrel, yes.
Which enfield is best enfield?
I like the Mk 1 due to history and that flush barrel design
The Mk 3, you can add a scope without doing any drilling or tapping, just remove the rear sight.
>>32339355
Srs question. So I have an NPM M1 Carbine that is in fantastic shape but the finish is pretty much gone on it.
Would it be ok to get it reparkerized? It's been the through the refurb process cause it has the bayonet lug and post-war rear sights. And NPM used different parts from other manufacturers to assemble their carbine, so I have no idea if the gun is all matching anyway.
Always preferred the SMLE.
Felt somewhat lighter and easier to use.
Why are Tokarevs so goddamn aesthetic? I personally think that it is the best-looking rifle of WW2.
I'm in the market for a USP in .45 ACP. Just found out that there are a bunch of variants 1 through 10 that differ in controls. What's the best variant?
>>32337157
Get the V1 man.. double action/single action plus safety and decocker. Its the default and the classic can't go wrong with that. Bro.
>>32337157
V1 is best.
V7 and V3 are tied.
V5/V6 is just stupid. V9 is also pretty stupid.
>>32337157
V3 because who needs a safety?
The US Army receives its first M113 replacement.

The United States Army can eat the frummeunda cheese from my ballsack.
How do you like that?
A big, heavy, expensive, weakly armed troop carrier that fulfills the prophecy of the pentagon wars.
How hard is it for the USA to design a vehicle with a modern hull layout, 8 man carrying capability and a 30mm gun with 4 ATGM.
This is just a shittier designed version of what the Russian have with the Kurganets.

>Troop carrier
>muh 30mm and ATGM's
Did you even watch Pentagon Wars?
made a thread in /his/ but I should've posted here. Anyway, I'm looking for books about weapons used in ww1. From air to earth to sea. Artillery and bayonets. Everything.
I found Machine-Guns and the Great War by Paul Cornish and it looks pretty good. Have any suggestions?
Also anon already suggested the forgotten weapons channel but I'm looking for books.
>>32337091
anyone?
>>32337091
Go play battlefield 1, it will teach you that the great War was really about Africans fighting for their homes. Did you know that Germany was mainly black? Fucking white people are always oppressing blacks.
>>32337091
Just watch the InRange series on it, fuck
What is the best holster you can buy for pic related? Price is no object if it is truly worth it. IWB or OWB.
I carry my 43 in a gcode incog and so far it's my favorite but wondering if that's the route I should take for my 17 or if there's something better out there.
>>32336993
Bumping your thread because I also have interest in a good full size Glock holster. Seriously considering getting a G31 Gen4.
>>32336993
>carrying le tupperware brick gun
>"price is no object" :^D
good one, friend
>>32338237
Well, I like it. Price wasn't something I considered when buying it.
I'm not implying that I feel the need to spend as much as possible. The most expensive isn't always the best. Rather I was hoping for advice for the best holster that I can get for this gun regardless of cost.

I thought their guns were still keeping the same brand name.
So essentially it's a smart business move and nothing changes.

Seeing how the Canadian military is in fucking tatters and couldn't survive a defensive war if it tripled it's manpower and equipment, Should Canada's military merge with the United States? As in All Canadian Forces units merge with the US Army,Navy and Air Force while trying to preserve unit heritage? Perhaps members of this merged military opt to apply for joint citizenship. It doesn't seem like Canada takes any part of it's military serious, why not just pay a proportional fee for being part of the US's military?
>>32337799
Fuck Canada

Come on now, Alberta is cool.
>That feel when that's the only okay place in Canada I can think of this isn't filled with wannabe French faggots or liberal faggots.
