I have a strong longer for guns and food. Recently I went innawoods and combined the two.
My first pairing was:
Marlin 45-70 lever
>thick cut bacon
>biscuits
>strong black coffee
My next pairing will be
Ruger 10/22
>hotdogs
>lays original
>glass coke bottle
What are some good pairings you can think of?

I don't know...That clean looking grass/campsite looks a lot like a developed campsite. Did you really out, op?
>>32427141
When I was a SAW gunner I always wanted to wrap bacon around the barrel and shoot until it started cooking.
I dont want a G43, also i want an external safety because I don't trust a round in the chamber with no safety.
>>32426875
My favorite is the P2000sk. I've heard good things about the P30sk but I've never shot it.
>>32426875
I carry a 43 chambered in appendix. Get a decent holster and train on it empty to make sure you're not retarded enough to pull the trigger when holstering.
A CZ P-07 can make a decent cc piece, if you have an average build, and you fix the decocker so that it is a safety.
did you know that tanks of the future will be hovercraft with railguns?
>>32426729
Not that great
Lindybeige is a complete fuckwit that knows nothing about anything, but he openly stated that hovercraft were a no-go and had entirely well-reasoned justifications for saying so.

>tfw can't decide between 9mm or .45
>>32426637
Both, but get a revolver for the .45.
I have a 9mm and a .45 and I must say, the .45 handloads from a Webley turn it into the most accurate pistol I've ever fired (please note they must be quite underloaded for this because of the whole shitstorm of .455 being weak as shit)
>>32426637
Why not both?
Get a .45 pussy

Good.
Alright /k/, I have a dilemma.
>bought an M88A at a gun show
>fired it for the first time today
>after about 2 mags the front sight popped off and is nowhere to be found
>the pistol jammed/misfed multiple times over the 4 mags I put through it
>in the middle of the third mag, the pin that keeps the slide attached came loose and the pistol nearly came apart
>the thing that made me put the gun down was on the last mag it failed to strike the primer on a round
Did I get a lemon /k/? Or can this all be diagnosed and fixed?
And can I get a new fucking front sight?

Thought you all might want to see this. It's nowhere near breaking even after it's 'wide release'.

Sounds good, only 9.6mil in the hole.
This is that gun control movie right? Who'd have guessed Americans wouldn't want some retarded propaganda film shitting on their civil rights.
Have you guys had a good FAP? The Main spring on my 1858 was a little hard, so I broke it in until it was nice and supple.

I've been looking for a 1911 that closely resembles one from WWII. So far, I've come to the conclusion that Kahr-Auto-Ordnance makes one that looks almost completely accurate. After about a day of researching it, it seems like Auto-Ordnance used to be absolutely awful up until Kahr bought them out back in the late 90's, and they were just OK until about 10 years ago. Seems like since then, they've got their shit together. However, their history doesn't give me any peace of mind. If I buy a Kahr-Auto-Ordnance, and it turns out like ass, and I replace all the internals, does that mean it'll fire well? Also wondering if it's worth the money at all. Input would be greatly appreciated.
Additional Info:
MSRP is $688
I live in Commiefornia, so other models like the Springfield Mil-Spec, pretty much every Colt, are not available
>>32426259
Rock Island Armory makes a basic GU model for around 400.00

>>32426259
I've got an Auto Ordinance and mine shoots fine. The finish isn't great and it's definitely no museum piece, but it goes bang every time I pull the trigger.
>>32426259
Why not wait until the korean limbo ones come over after trump. As far as I know the 1911s from that era are more or less the same.
what is the point of this gun.
Too inaccurate to be a DMR
to bulky to compete with ar-15
What is it used for?
>>32426152
>Too inaccurate to be a DMR
That's literally exactly what it is used for.
>to bulky to compete with ar-15
It's 7.62, so it is bit bigger. It's still not very bulky for what it is though.
>What is it used for?
Used as a DMR because it's more versatile and modern than other 7.62 stuff out there. (EBR a shit.)
>Too inaccurate to be a DMR
Adequately accurate and can be sub-MOA
>too bulky to compete with ar-15
You have never seen or touched one in your life, they are possibly the least bulky .308 on the market.
>>32426152
>What is it used for?
making poorfags jelly enough to shitpost about it on /k/
So /k/ can anyone explain why the 6.5 grendal is a bad round?
>>32426094
It's not a bad round.
Its a fantastic cartridge, and the best round that fits in a standard AR lower receiver.
A lot of guys want it to be a replacement for .308 (and its derivatives), and its not.
>>32426094
You shut your whore mouth.
>>32426168
I'm not your mother?
Is 10mm Auto ammo that rare?
>>32425946
No, it a boutique round bough by people who think "stopping power" trumps shot placement. It's a round with limited uses and few weapons platforms based on it.
>>32425960
kys namefag, he wasn't asking about its utility, he was asking about its availability
>>32425946
It's pretty common outside of big box stores, but it's at least $10/box more expensive than common service calibers.
>>32425990
$10/box isn't too bad. Not being 21 yet any ammo below $15/box sounds great.
Link up some good training videos from youtube or liveleak.
Starting off with one of my favorites, a CIA video for the basics of close quarters shooting for beginners:

I've always liked Paladin Press videos. I can't vouch for their efficacy, but I'm an armchair operator, so who cares.

Just wanted to give a quick update. I won't be making these threads every other day like before, because I don't want the system to think it's spam. More like ~2 x week.
The FCG is finished, the one you see in the .gif will be re-enforced before it is used in the prototype; I don't expect it will last many shots before bending because of the soft, galvanized metal.
Which is fine, because as we speak I'm designing a more sturdy frame with the same internals! Which uses two steel plates like a sandwich; much like a cassette style drop in trigger system.
The next update will most likely have a .gif of the mag, mag well, and mag catch working together.
Wanted to show you guys it's coming along! Ask a question, leave a response, I get to everyone!
