OP never specified if the shooting was pre-food or post food, and FMJ/plated rounds exist in .45-70 and .22lr. No serious contact with lead necessary until firing.

Nope. If I have I don't FEEL any ill effects. I'm assuming contact is more important to getting lead on me than just being near solid lead. I didn't sleep touching said block of lead. It was, just, there.

I have felt physically weird after an afternoon of heavy shotgun shooting, but that clears up by the next day.
