i too have had a god awful zastava pistol. I had all of those exact problems with my m57

we should all get together and show them/publicize the awful quality coming from that place.

However, you do get what you pay for.

use a M57 front sight. sounds like yours wasn't tight and some build up with solder that's filed down would solve the slop.

it's very rough machining, polish where you see drag marks and ensure you have soaked the gun in hot water and simple green, then dry, oil, and lube. mags should work okay - think of the M88 as a "commander" sized M57

either the pin isn't mushroomed or grooved, or the interior latch isn't snapping in place to prevent removal. examine these parts and correct it.

I have an extra slide I can send you. comes with front sight and extractor. My m88a has been fine, no issues to note so far.

Hey OP, I just bought this exact pistol. Do you find that the ledge on the grip digs into your hand? I don't think I can shoot it until I Dremel it off, there's no way I can hold it comfortably.

fucking yugo quality right there. i have a m85 and m92. the m85 has a severely canted rear sight block which also cants the whole dust cover. the m92 is also canted, but not as bad. i bought them about 3 years back and they still have the same problems.

i always say zastava quality is shit when i see those thread, but you always have people disputing the fact because their only firearm is from zastava so they feel like it's a personal insult.

fact is that all of zastava guns are known to have problems. n-pap and o-pap had soft metal, m85 and m92 have canted rear sight blocks, and after that my interest in zastava waned so i stopped following their fuck ups.
