time for another one of these
I'm holding a meet up in feburary. It'll be a one day, 6-8 hour ish get together and shoot together in the backwoods of western north carolina. For a vague location, use Ellenboro North Carolina.

basic rules
>be 18+
>bring at least 1 firearm
>bring a water source
>bring ear protection
>no large explosives, it's a small range so if you do want to shoot tannerite it will be restricted to 1-2 pounds per shot
site details
>paper, clay, cans, milk jugs and a few rubber reactice targets will be provided. I bring hot dogs for lunch (kosher dogs too for the jews). I'll try to get a steel target, no promises.
the range is only 75m, so bear that in mind before you bring your 20mm cannon you built in the garage

While the stated purpose of exoskeletons is to help soldiers carry heavier loads and not to actually support armor, what practical uses would a fully armored suit have on any kind of battlefield?

Not possible atm - the only thing that's going to stop battle rifle rounds are ceramics. Ceramics can only take a few hits.
Basically, the way it's going to be used is this - pull up an APC to a building that needs to be taken intact for whatever reason, have heavies dismount, clear, and get back in the APC.
Except by the time we have exoskeletons carrying that kind of armor, we will have highly-mobile armored drones.
There is just no reason to sent a person when a drone can do the same job.

First time gun buyer here, not exactly rolling in the dough, but I also want a new hobby. Guns seem fun and there prices are definitely motivating me to get my butt into gear to afford my new hobby. Ar's seem a good 'bang' for your buck (how many times have you heard no pun intended after that?). I'm wondering if this is a good deal. I checked the receiver price and it's around 260 new. Don't know anything else about the gun, so I'm wondering what are other people's opinions on shelling 650 out for this AR, are...?

Hi /k/, I was at the range today and cut myself with my own knife trying to get some tape.
It was a decent cut, when tending to I realized that I didn't have anything other than tape to stop the bleeding.
Then I thought to myself, what the FUCK would I have done if I was shot just now?!
How would you treat yourself if you were shot but didn't die immediately and weren't incapacitated?
Let us say that the person who shot you knows they shot you and will pursue you and kill you.
What could you realistically do to both treat your wound effectively, ease pain, and stay in the fight until you can get to safety?
Do adrenaline shots work like in hardcore henry or is it just a vidya game meme?

i recently saw a recruiter about the national gaurd. sounds really good and shit but obviously he was a recruiter so there's gotta be shit he's not telling me that i assume you guys would know.
here's the basics of what i was told:
you only have to work two days a month, they can pay 100% of your college fees, the only times you'll have to REALLY work are in the event of disasters or in the unlikely event you are deployed.

I do every great once in a while due to it being my smallest handgun. Less than once a month - can usually figure out how to conceal one of my larger modern guns.
Yes, 9x18 is a little more powerful than .380, but only a little.
