Evening bastards. I have some pictures that I took at a local Fort/Artillery museum. Sadly due to my shitty phone running out of battery, I wasn't able to take photos of every gun (sadly including the dardenelles gun). However I got some decent pics, i'll dump them now. I'll be hitting the sack soon but hopefully you guys will enjoy and upload other historical weapon pictures that you've taken.

Uniform question to any USAF dudes on /k/,
I'm planning on going into the Air-Guard Before grad school.
Does anyone know if a CIB is to be worn above or beneath pilot wings on a USAF officer uniform? How about wearing a CIB on a flight suit?
Oh also OP here.
>Kind of excited for that stolen valor accusation whenever the occasion calls for wearing a dress-ier uniform.
Does that blazer have a shitting your self badge on it, it has the fucking rest of them.
I seem to see a crying for mummy medal.
>>32660203
below pilot wings. your current badge is the top one worn, unless it's an aeronautical rating because that trumps all because it's the air force.
you can have two wings/badges on your flight suit name tag.
What's the single most influential /k/ entity in the US? Army? Spooks? FBai?

I am a white collar guy who likes guns, his state, and is looking for some extra cash flow (doesn't need to be much) I like the idea of being able to serve my state domestically when there are riots (my state is becoming increasingly destabilized with 2016 race riots and political tension, and has tornados now and then).
I would probably want to be commissioned and would have the ability to take 10 weeks off for Guard OCS if I needed to.
My only concern is overseas deployment to Afghanistan or Syria. I just don't have any interest in serving in these wars and would not join if there is a high likelihood of being deployed overseas (many in my state were years ago). Is there a way to join where your unit is less likely to be selected for overseas deployment, or are most units eventually required to do so?
TL;DR want to defend state and it's many domestic threats in it's milita, do not want to fight or sit around standby in some desert. Is this possible or am I a faggot?
Pretty sure you'll end up getting shipped out if you join the NG
But I don't know shit about it, that's just what I've been told
>>32659962
I just don't get this, they can't find enough useful shit for you to do over 5 years at home?
Or do they not have enough active duty soldiers in the army/reserves?
same as reserves?

Quick question, my grandpa has had several mini strokes and basically has symptoms of dementia. He has several firearms in his name located throughout his home. I have already gone and unloaded them but left them in place as my grandmother's request. This was when we were unsure what was wrong and hoped he'd get better.
Now that we know he isn't, and my grandmother is incredibly afraid of firearms how do I go about transferring them out of his name and into mine so they don't just go to waste.
Atm he has some sort of small caliber shotgun (didn't look at the brand or caliber at the time however the stock is sawed off)
a highpoint (yes I know highpoint...)
A small .22 firearm of some sort (think those little prostitute pistols, not a Derringer 2 shot but close)
And a .22 assult rifle with sawed off stock (this is already going to be impossible to transfer as I'm in CA)
anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to get these out of their home ASAP. As I said I live in southern California, since I know we have bullshit gun laws.
Also pic unrelated it's a pigeon at my work
Just draft up a bill of sale with all the firearms/serials you want to transfer listed and have your grandpa sign it, if he's willing/able. If he's unable to do it himself because of the condition, have your grandma sign on his behalf as long as it's not going to cause him issues.

Reworking a DshK to fire shotgun shells would be so much work you'd be better off building a belt fed shotgun MG from scratch.
How to load a bolt action 101
Is that also supposed to be two bolt handles?
>>32659693
Forget how he's loading it, how the fuck is he gonna shoot it like that without a pistolgrip?
Just noticed the bullet

What's the difference ?
( I'm Canadian )
I am wondering if there are any retrofittable AR-15 pumps that are commercially available right now. As in, you can make any AR a pump action by switching out the gas system for a pump, rather than being a purpose built AR. I am wondering because I have gotten in touch with a local inventor who has made a functional pump that is fitted by taking out the gas system, fitting it with a rod connected to a pump handle, which is placed on the handguard. The idea is that you can make an otherwise "assault weapon" AR compliant to cucked states. Is there anything else like this in exicstence? Pic only slightly related.
How about not complying to unconstitutional laws?
>>32659368
I'm sure your local inventor is a cool guy, but that likely will damage the bolt and chamber area in the same way converting DI ARs to PISTON does.
>AR starbolt was designed to expand from the inside out and push apart
>not be pulled apart from a rod on the outside
But still, your friend sounds cool as fuck and it might be something he's figured out already. Either way, the damage I m talking about doesn't USUALLY happen right away.
>>32659368
Its a lot more practical
I have a Shield with the safety.
Some guy on the Internet said I should train to sweep off the safety every single time I draw because if I ignore it, it could be inadvertently engaged when I don't want it to.
Is this true or can I just leave the safety off and ignore it?
>>32659341
I have a Shield w/saftey and I just leave it off. I only got the safety version because the non-safety version was sold out and I couldn't pass up the sale($290).
Just leave it off. The best safety is keeping your finger off the trigger.
you should sell it and get the safetyless version
Question /k/
How would someone know that you're in the military if they haven't seen you before and aren't apart of the government?
>Get knock on apartment door in Fayetteville outside of Bragg
>Grab handgun and peep outside
>Old dude in Mr. Rodgers sweatshirt
>Put gun in pocket and answer door
>"Hello sir I'm so and so and am doing a survey about military couples. I've only got a few questions"
>Awkward silence
>*spaghetti slides out of my pocket*
>"Uh me I-i am not a military couple.."
>"That's okay sir, sorry to bother you"
>Close door
I've only lived here for like 20 days. That guy didn't knock on any other door but mine so he must have known that I was .mil
What gives? Is that like the spooks probing you or was it just a manager or something looking to survey military residents of the complex?
Here is a nice picture in exchange for thoughts

>shitty Army motto stickers on car
"But guys seriously how do they know?"
usually i can tell someone was in the military because they never fucking shut up about it
Would selling off around 10% of your firearm collection to fund one of your "dream" firearms be a bad idea?
>pic related is what I have a lead on and am debating selling ~10 guns to get
If I had enough guns to make an even 10% probably.
I only have four right now.
>not getting a M2 made by our lord and savior JMB
